Chapter 44
Freya paced back and forth while Sasha some information on the computer. Viktor's wound had already been treated, and he and Alan inspected their weapons. They would soon go after Hendrik.

Freya couldn't take it anymore and started to question " How exactly did you guys fall into a trap?"

Alan answered her question, " we don't know yet,but someone might have leaked the entire plan to him."

" But do you have any idea who this person might be? To give the whole plan to Tobias,they must be someone close,right? It's not like there are bugs all over the house or where you discussed the plan," Freya said without realizing the significance of her words. She didn't know much about the mafias and their strategies,but sometimes she could have great ideas unintentionally.

Everyone exchanged glances, and even Sasha looked away from the computer. Freya didn't realize what she had said. Emil spoke up, taking out his cellphone, typing something, and handing it to Freya.

" You may be right about the bugs. That's why we won't talk about anything that could compromise any operation or Hendrik's rescue inside the house from now on."

After reading the message, Freya understood. She might have given a good suggestion about what might have happened with their plan. Emil signaled for them to go outside. He couldn't risk saying anything inside.

They stepped outside, and Emil began speaking. " Until we are sure the house is not bugged,we will avoid discussing important matters inside. As you all know, Rico is with Tobias and had access to this house and other places belonging to the family during his relationship with Hendrik. For now, our focus will be on finding Hendrik, and we will deal with the rest later.

Everyone agreed, and Sasha added, " I have the necessary equipment for that, but for now, I believe I have found Hendrik. Tobias often goes to an abandoned power plant outside the city. We believe he uses it for interrogation and torture purposes. We will check the power plant immediately,as the car he used at the warehouse was heading in that direction, according to the traffic cameras."

Freya was still nervous but remembered something as she held her hands. " Wait, this bracelet has a tracker. Hendrik has one too. You can locate him with it,just like he found me."

Freya was excited to have remembered about the tracker, but Sasha quickly deflated her enthusiasm. " Only yours has a tracker, Freya. Hendrik didn't put one in his.' Freya was now indignant with Hendrik. " Does he think only I need to be tracked down.?"

Freya already had in mind that this would be one of the first things she would discuss with Hendrik when they returned. It wasn't fair that only she had one. Hendrik's life and location were also valuable and he would have to use a tracker regardless.

Sasha asked if everyone was ready to leave. Emil wanted to participate,but Sasha asked him to stay. It was what Hendrik would want, as much as Emil knew how to shoot and defend himself, he wanted hi, far away from such situations for as long as possible.

The three got Into their cars, and Emil and Freya stood there, observing and hoping everything would go well. Freya never imagined she could feel so anxious. she needed to see Hendrik, touch him and feel him close once again 

Sasha Alan and Viktor were in the same car. They reviewed the plan and communicated with the rest of the team through their transmitters. They believed they wouldn't be many people at the power plant since Tobias didn't expect them to escape the trap.

The rushed as fast as possible. Viktor, as always, went ahead to scout the location, positioning himself in the middle of the tall grass, checking the perimeter.

As imagined, the outside area was clear, and Tobias team was positioned on the inside. Sasha approached from another location to observe, while Alan also took his position. Everyone reported that the perimeter was clear and they began to approach the power plants.

Hendrik remained tied up on the inside, in the same manner. One of Tobias men threw water on him to wake him up. Hendrik had lost consciousness after a few blows from Tobias.

" Wake up, sleeping beauty, I'm not done with you yet," Tobias approached Hendrik, grabbing his face." " Do you think Freya will cry a lot when I kill you? But I promise you that after you are gone, I'll console her very well, I guarantee that she won't even mourn your demise."

Tobias smiled and let go of Hendrik's face. " You won't go near her, you damn sadist! I'll kill you before that," Hendrik still shouted.

And how do you plan on killing me, Hendrik? Will it be a scare tactic? Will you come back as a ghost to haunt me? " Tobias mocked Hendrik's threats.

Meanwhile, in another part of the power plant, Hendrik's men had already entered trying to remain invisible and as silent as possible. Viktor and Alan were stationed on the upper level, while Alan and the rest of the team were on the lower level.

Sasha  heard a noise coming from one of the rooms downstairs. She alerted Alan and Viktor, asking them to come down. Viktor eliminated the last two guards on the upper level, and they began descending.

Sasha couldn't wait for them. She didn't know what Tobias had done to Hendrik and needed to arrive quickly. In the room, Tobias was still torturing Hendrik, cutting his body, not enough to kill him but enough to make him a tremendous amount of pain.

Tobias prepared to make the next cut, this time on Hendrik's face. As he raised the knife, a gunshot hit the chain holding Hendrik, breaking it and causing hi, to fall to the ground.

Tobias drew his gun and started firing back. He used his bodyguard as a shield and headed towards another exit. One of the shots hit Tobias leg, but before leaving, he aimed at Hendrik and fired.

The chamber of Tobias gun was already empty, and when he shot at Hendrik, the gun failed shoot. Tobias left go of the man he used as a shield and left the room.

Sasha went to help Hendrik and ordered the others to go after Tobias. The other men went after him while stayed behind, soon joined by Alan and Viktor.

Hendrik told the, to leave him there but capture or kill Tobias. Alan and Viktor left, and Sasha stayed. Gunshots echoed through the power plant. Some of Hendrik's men ended up injured or dead in the shootout with Tobias and his men.

Tobias was cunning and didn't mean sacrificing his men to save himself. He knew the power plant well and knew all the best escape routes. There were always hidden weapons and vehicles around, and he relied on that.

Tobias managed to reach one of the motorcycles that was there, grabbed a mini submachine gun, and sped away, firing towards Alan and Viktor, gaining an advantage to escape. Viktor tried to fire back at Tobias a few times but it was in vain, and once again, Tobias managed to escape.

Alan and Viktor returned to where Tobias was and told him that Tobias had managed to escape. Hendrik wished they had succeeded, but at least he was still alive and would have the opportunity to catch Tobias. " That bastard is lucky,but his luck will run out, soon enough I swear," Hendrik made this promise and now just wanted to go home. He thought about how Freya knew everything that was happening and just wanted to show her that he was fine and put her at ease .
