Chapter 42
Hendrik and the others were in a warehouse where they gathered before each mission. They reviewed the plan one more time, grabbed their weapons, and drove towards the warehouse located at the docks.

Everything was on schedule to arrive close to the guard shift change,so they would catch them by surprise. Hendrik's siblings were already at his house, and even though Freya was heading to the clinic, he knew she would be safe there because trained personnel were present in case of any potential attack. Now,he could solely focus on this mission.

After having her breakfast, Freya went to the clinic. Anika was well taken care of and receiving all the necessary assistance. Freya checked her tests and medical records, she was recovering well, and she knew she would soon recover completely from her condition.

While talking to the doctor, a nurse informed Freya that there was an emergency case. One of the assisting doctors was already in another surgery,so Freya had to perform an emergency surgery on this patient.

The clinic's doctor knew that Freya was also a doctor and asked if she could help with the surgery. It was uncommon to ask for assistance from an outside doctor,but this was an exception.

Freya didn't see any problem with helping, she was already missing practicing her profession. Both of them went to the operating room and scrubbed in,but before that, Freya informed the accompanying security personnel that they could reach out to her if needed. While Freya was occupied with the surgery, Hendrik arrived at his destination. They hid the cars before the warehouse and proceeded on foot to their positions. Viktor's position was on the other side in an abandoned warehouse, from where he had a strategic view of the warehouse they would enter.

Everyone waited for Viktor to take his position before entering. Viktor climbed up and took his position, using the rifle's scope to check both outside and inside the warehouse. " All clear," Viktor informed Hendrik and the others through the transmitter.

Hendrik checked the time and s he was right on schedule for the shift change, he signaled for them to start entering. Hendrik's order was clear, no firearms unless they had a silencer.

Most of the men were being incapacitated without being killed, they were being taken out of sight and some of Hendrik's men took their positions as they made their way Into the warehouse.

On the roof, Viktor looked attentively,but there was still no sign of Tobias at the location. He looked inside the warehouse and saw movement behind a stack of boxes. As soon as he went to notify Hendrik, he was surprised by someone attempting to kill him. 

The person tried to strangle him with a wire that passed through his throat. Viktor began to fight to escape from that situation. Viktor managed to get on his knees and then forced himself backward, using his foot to trip the other person and falling on top of their body.

Viktor quickly rolled to the side and got back into a defensive position, still coughing and feeling asphyxiated. The other man pulled out a gun and Viktor charged at his,, grabbing his hand and managing to disarm with a blow, causing the gun to fall far away.

Viktor punched him, causing him to take a few steps back. The man pulled out his knife and Viktor gave him a small smile," now you're speaking my language." Viktor was an excellent sniper, but he had a great passion for knives. Viktor took his own knife out of his vest and positioned himself, the other man attacked and he managed to defend himself and cut his stomach.

As soon as the man turned around, Viktor threw his knife, causing it to stab into his neck and the man fell backwards. " I don't have time to play with you,' Viktor said as he walked towards the rifle,but then he felt a pain in his arm, realizing he had been shot.

Viktor hid and looked at his wound, luckily, The other shooter wasn't as good, as the bullet had only grazed his arm. Viktor couldn't check the situation inside or outside the warehouse now, all he could do was warn Hendrik that they had fallen into an ambush.

Viktor pressed his device and relayed the information, " abort,abort, get out there, it's a trap." Viktor had warned Hendrik,now he needed to think of a way to retrieve his rifle to take out the shooter on the other roof.

He didn't receive any responses from Hendrik,looked at his vest, and luckily, had brought a small smoke grenade. So , it would have to be that. Viktor took a deep breath, determined the wind direction, and threw the grenade, causing smoke to obscure his position.

He crawled back to his rifle and ran towards the door, descended a flight of stairs, and positioned himself near a window. He positioned his rifle and could see two people on the warehouse roof. Now Viktor did what he was good at; he shot and killed both men.

From his vantage point,he couldn't see well inside the warehouse,but from what little he could see, he noticed movement. Viktor now assumed that Hendrik the others were surrounded. Viktor cursed and left, heading towards the warehouse to try and position himself better to help.

Inside the warehouse,when Hendrik heard Viktor say it was an ambush,he tried to abort the mission and get out of there. However,as soon as they moved, they were surrounded by several armed men who came from different directions at the same time.

Even if  Hendrik had opened fire,they didn't stand a chance they were outnumbered and would be killed for sure; surrender was their only option now. Hendrik saw a person approaching through the armed men and already knew it was Tobias.

" Well,look what we have here , the rat walked straight into my trap, and you have no idea how gratifying that is," Tobias smiled, pointing a gun at Hendrik.

" Drop your weapons, or your precious boss here dies," Hendrik signaled for everyone to lower their weapons and he did the same. Tobias approached him, pressing the gun against his head," I'll enjoy playing with you, and after I'm done with you, I'll go after Freya and we'll have a lot of fun together, since she  likes feeling pain, I'll make sure of that."

Hendrik had noticed something and tried to lunge at Tobias, who struck him with the butt of his gun, causing him to fall with his head retching from pain. " Take hi, away, you know where, and as for the rest of them, you can have your fun."

Tobias followed the men who were taking Hendrik away.

Meanwhile, Freya was still in surgery at the hospital, completely unaware of what was happening to Hendrik and his friends.
