I was absent at school because my father sent for me, my coronation was going to be the following night and he needed to give me his fatherly advice and also, for me to check out the decoration, I had to make sure that nobody found out that Avery and I were mates, yes, it was a huge offence to have your coronation without inviting your mate but I did not care, her presence irked me, I wanted a strong and fierce Luna, until, she becomes that, I am not going to accept her, not even if my parents forces me to.

‘’Are you sure about that? Your mother could mind control you into accepting her and your father could dethrone you until you took her in as your Luna.’’ Kyle, my wolf pointed out.

I hated to admit but he was damn right, that was the more reason, nobody had to know about our secret.

‘’Instead of waiting for the poor girl to become strong overnight, you could show her love and affection while training her to be stronger, with your support, it would hasten the process.’’ He stated.

I instantly broke the link, not wanting my wolf to take control over me, I knew that he wanted her so bad but it was reverse for me.

‘’You mean to tell me that you are not moved by those pretty blue eyes?’’ His words painted her image in my head and I growled.

‘’Stop it, okay! All these efforts would not move me, I will soon reject her.’’ I threatened him.

My wolf would turn into a beast if I dared to reject her, that was the only reason that was keeping me back, the last time that he got mad, it did not end well for the school or my father’s pack, I had to go into wolf rehabilitation, so, I could control him and my anger.

‘’Do you know what would make your father happy?’’ He asked me.

I shook my head and chose to play dumb meanwhile I already knew the answer.

‘’Finding your mate before your coronation, your mother and I would be so pleased, it would be a double blessing to our family.’’ He stated.

It was surprising how he sounded happy but his facial expression was different, he never smiled except my mother was around him.

Let us just say that she was always the reason for his happiness.

‘’Son, I know you very well, I know that you want the strongest girl as a mate which is totally okay but if she turns out to be weak, you should not reject her.’’ He warned me with a straight face.

Another reason why I cannot reject her, my father was not a fan of rejection at all, one time in his life, he rejected my mother because he hated witches at that time and he thought she was from the descendant of those who killed his mother, it did not turn out good for their love story because my mum was weak as well but now, she was such a strong, independent woman.

‘’If you do, you know that you will be a living dead.’’ He patted my back after saying that.

This man was downright scary.

‘’Am I clear?’’ He asked me, pulling me out of my thoughts.

I instantly nodded in response.

‘’Good boy, you may leave now, I will see you tomorrow night.’’ He dismissed me.

There was no way that I would let her come to my coronation, I would lock her up in the room and hide the keys.

‘’Who is she? Cinderella? She is a werewolf; she can break out.’’ Kyle remarked.

He was wrong, this time around.

‘’A weak werewolf, Kyle.’’ I corrected him with a smirk on my face.

It was already lunch time when I got back to school, I wanted to go straight to my room to rest but Alison would use that as opportunity to insinuate sex.

I was getting tired of that girl, if I was a full werewolf, I would not have a reason to deal with her.

Now, she was bound to me for life because I had accepted her.

I walked towards our table and sat down; I could not find her anywhere which did not sit well with me.

‘’Why do you care?’’ Kyle inquired in a sarcastic tone.

‘’I don’t care, I feel some bastard is trying to touch her, I don’t any guy’s hands on her.’’ I replied him.

I could hear her voice and Damon’s voice, that demon.

‘’Are you just going to sit there? Go and save her before he rapes her.’’ Kyle urged me but I was not going to move an inch.

Hell, no.

If I chose to be a hero and rescue, she would have silly thoughts in her head that I cared about her then she would become clingy, if anything happens, I can always blame her for it and then, reject her.

Thanks to demon, my job would be much easier.

‘’Hey bro, where have you been?’’ Troy asked me.

He was a vampire and he was my pal, call me crazy for being friends with an enemy.

‘’My dad’s pack, he sent for me.’’ I replied him.

‘’Your coronation is tomorrow, man!’’ Tyler, my Beta-to-be stated.

We have been best friends since childhood, unfortunately, his parents died and mine had to take him in as their own since they were pretty close to his late parents, so, he was basically my brother.

‘’Yeah.’’

‘’Maybe, the goddess would bless you by sending your actual mate, so, you won’t have to deal with Devil’s first daughter anymore.’’ He added, referring to Alison.

I rolled my eyes and we all laughed, a lot of people hated her including my friends, there was a time that she threw herself on them but I never brought it up to her because I did not care.

‘’Don’t have your hopes too high, she might be worse than Alison.’’ I asserted.

‘’Don’t lay a curse on yourself, bro.’’ Troy told me.

We went quiet when Alison came and sat next to me.

‘’Speak of the Devil.’’ Tyler said through the mind link and I fought the urge to laugh.

‘’You could just make your life easier by kicking her out since you are just keeping her around for sex.’’ Kyle stated.

That was a deadly game to play, I know heartbreak can make a lot of people turn numb or even monsters, Alison would go crazy again, use dark magic on the whole school again, starting with me since I was the only one keeping her sanity.

I was not going to deny the fact that I was fucking other girls aside her because I was getting tired of her pussy but it was a necessary evil.

‘’Hey babe, I missed you.’’ She told me in her usual high-pitched voice.

I grabbed my apple and bit into it, so, I would use it as an excuse not to talk to her.

‘’Ashley cleaned her up nicely.’’ Kyle commented in my head.

‘’Damn, who is she?’’ Troy asked.

‘’The new student, she is hot as fuck.’’ Tyler replied him.

‘’She is going to be on your hit list now.’’ Tyler asserted through the mind link again.

I shot him a glare and he stifled a laugh.

She was pulling too much crowd and I did not like it.

‘’Lex, are you staring at her?’’ Alison asked me with a shaky voice.

I did not answer her, I stood up instantly and headed towards her table, she must change her outfit and I never wanted to see her in such again.

‘’Only you know why you are so bothered by her dressing, Alison dresses like that all the time but you never complained.’’ Kyle said.

I did not want Avery looking like a fucking hooker.

Not in this life or the next.
