"Wow!" Melanie exclaimed.

"It's beautiful." she added.

Denver looked uninterested. "Can we just go inside?" Denver asked in annoyance.

"Why not? There's room for everyone." I said.

"And by that I mean to sit and think of a way to get Delanie back. But first I think you should finally take your powers out of Melanie. You'll never know when it will be too late." I added.

"You are right. We'll do that inside now." Denver agreed.

We all got into the cottage nd this time I gave Denver the real crystal ball. "Now remember. Don't be distracted." I reminded them.

"Got it." Melanie said.

They both gazed into the crystal and concentrated perfectly well. I watched the energy flow back into Denver.

"Stop!" I said to them when it was done.

Denver got his powers back at last. "It's not over till we get back Delanie and the other half of my powers stuck inside of Maco's body." Denver said.

"I have an idea." he added.

(MACO POV):

"At long last. The crystal is finally mine." I said, my minion placed it in my hand.

"No. They couldn't have..." I heard Delanie saying.

"Oh yes they did. And I am going to use it to destroy those brothers right after i absorb all the powers in the second one and in that sister of yours." I said to Delanie and laughed aloud.

"There is no way you will ever find them!" she said.

I put the crystal between I and Delanie and stared hard into it. The fool didn't even know that two people concentrating on the crystal ball was how it works and she continued watching.

I was ready to suck her life out of her but nothing happened.

"What? What is this?!" I shouted on top of my voice as i realized it was a counterfeit.

Delanie, realizing what had just happened, laughed to her fullest.

"Shut up you full!" I yelled at her but she only suppressed the laughter to wipe away the tears that came as a result of it.

"You will never win this fight Macaroni." Delanie said.

I felt hot steam leaving my ears. She has been calling me that stupid name since I locked her up here. I have had it just about enough!

I broke the cage door open and grabbed her by the neck out of it. I squeezed hard on her neck till I myself could feel her body weaken by the second. I let her go and her entire body hit the ground.

Delanie struggled with breathing for minutes before finally gaining whatever strength she had back.

"I will kill your sister once I get what I want and then I will kill you next." I said to her.

I summoned the demon that had given me the fake crystal ball and I shrunk and squashed him to death in anger.

Since no one else can do what I asked of them right then I will do it myself.

I fixed the cage with my powers and flung Delanie into it then I vanished into the mansion that they were discovered to be in. Still in my demon form, I searched the entire mansion but could not find them.

I appeared even to the woman and her son but there was nothing left. Knowing Kyle, he must have already wiped out their memories. My anger grew even more and i broke a flower vase of theirs in my hand as I kept tightening my grip on it.

I will find you Kyle. Your family is nothing before me. I will kill you all before any of you can even lift a finger against me.

I wiped the memory of seeing me out of the mother and son's head then left. I appeared back where I had left.

"No luck?" Delanie said, mocking me.

I used my powers to hit her head against the bars of the cage and watched as she cried out in pain.

"I don't think I need to find them. They will come to me themselves." I said.

Delanie still managed to laugh in between tears.

"Why are you always laughing? What is so funny?" I asked her, already infuriated by her stupidity.

"You. I am laughing at you." Why would they walk right into your trap?" she asked me.

"I have Melanie's sister. Why won't they come to help you?" I asked her.

"I'm not worth that much Maco. No one is going to come. You'll see." she replied, not with as much confidence as she was doing seconds ago.

"I'm willing to wait and see." I said to her.

This time Delanie had nothing to say to me and sat there silently in the cage, looking defeated.

(MELANIE POV):

Don't worry sis. I'm coming for you. We'll be together again.

I sat there amongst the flowers in front of the cottage staring at the full moon. Denver came and sat beside me.

"Beautiful isn't it?" I asked Denver.

"Yes. It is." he answered.

"I kind of miss those nights we stared at the night's sky together. Remember our tree?" Denver asked.

"Of course I remember it." I said, placing my head on his shoulder.

"I also remembered that your not saying 'I love you' to me was the reason Kyle finally kidnapped me." I added.

Denver placed his hand on my cheek, stroking my cheek softly.

"It wasn't easy for me then but now..." Denver said, lifting my chin and causing me to stare into his eyes.

"I can say it with all of me that..." Denver said.

"That what?" I asked him.

"That I love you Melanie. Only you... and it will always remain you no matter what." Denver said and placed his lips on mine as we kissed under the moonlight.

(KYLE POV):

I watched from the cottage window as Denver and Melanie sat there and talked. They looked so happy together and for the first time in my life I was actually happy for my brother.

They both kissed and I couldn't help but wonder... will i ever have these kind of special moments with someone?

I left the cottage and entered a room then lay on the bed there, staring at the ceiling.

What if my love for Delanie is one sided? Do I have to go through a new pain? I have to open up to her. It's the only way I will ever know. But what if she doesn't love me back?

Why am I even thinking about this? No one will ever love me.
