Devon's POV

“ Did you at least get an arrow in her” the priestess asked

“Yes” Skyler nodded “ I lodged one in her shoulder”

The priestess smiled, her tongue visible from the lack of her front teeth “ then we could find her” she said  “ we can track her using your blood.”

“ How” I asked confused

“ Firstly, your blood has made her weak, it could be her strength and weakness if need be. She could remove the arrow but not the blood in her”

The priestess stood up and went into the other room , coming back with a compass-like object.

“ She could have healed faster if it was just an arrow wound but your blood in it makes it all so much harder” she said as she sat down back

She raised the compass “ this works like a normal compass, you just have to put your blood in it and it will point in the direction your blood also exists, outside your body.

Skyler stood up and collected it from the priestess, her face filled with questions

“ Yes whenever you're ready , just take your blood and put on the compass and it would lead you to the witch “ the priestess said as if seeing the unspoken questions I'm our mind

“ Is there anything else we need on our journey” I asked the priestess

“ There will be no need for an invisibility spell, because she would know you are coming, but I can give you the black ointment that stops the bleeding, so you could use it when you're ready.”

“ If she knows we are coming, doesn't they put us in danger” Skyler asked

“ Yes it does , but you should have some powers by now to keep you safe.” The priestess answered

“ I have weird powers,I'm not sure any of them could protect us from a witch” Skyler chuckled “ I see visions, fine , I could create a mind link, I could feel others pain and that's all about it”

“ You're more powerful than you think, asn you will realize that very soon “ the priestess said

“ I hope so , or we would be dead before we could do anything to the witch” Skyler said “ yes I remember now , the witch looked exactly like me , even her eyes were also green, she looked so much like me, if I had black hair .”

The priestess laughed “ It's easy to guess, unless your brother didn't give you the whole detail. Our first Luna Riverine had brown hair like yours”

Understanding finally dawned on me “my mate is the exact replica of the Luna.”

“Yes,” the priestess nodded. “ When I first saw her as a child I knew she had a great mission to fulfill here.”

“I may probably be the Luna, reincarnated to come defeat her evil twin” Skyler joked

“ It could be” the priestess said with a serious look

The smile faded off Skyler's face and she became serious, then she said “ I am Skyler white Elord, the daughter of the former Alpha of the Silver moon pack Alpha Xavier white and the wife to the Alpha of the Blood Moon pack Alpha Devon Elord, I wish to be nobody else.”

Her words made me swell with pride, this is the tough girl I met.

“ Nobody denies your identity, but we cannot deny the fact that you were also born on a full moon's night and happen to look like the first Luna, and now you need to defeat her sister again.”

“ This time Skyler has the fight, and I wouldn't just defeat her, I would make sure she's gone from existence.” Skyler said

Just then ,the sound of the engine of a car was heard, before we could ask who that was , one of Killian's guards entered with a letter in his hands.

“ Alpha , Luna” he said bowing to each of us

“ And the great priestess” he said turning to her as he bowed

“ What brings you here” I asked

“ This arrived when you were gone, and it looked urgent , so Alpha Killian sends me here to give it to you”

He stretched his hands out , with his other hand supporting it and his head slightly bowed

I took the letter immediately “ Thank you” . I said to him “ you can be on your way now”.

“ Yes , Alpha” he replied  and immediately turned and went on his way .

The seal on it was from my pack , so I turned to Skyler “ From Beta Brandon” I said

“ Go on ,read it then” she urged

I opened the letter immediately and as I read through my heart kept breaking, Skyler seeing the expression on my face took the letter and started reading it.

The news of my death had somehow spread, and the fog had covered the whole territory of my pack, there has been no rain and every source of water had dried up , the crops were died so as the livestock's, every day accounted for not less than four deaths and it had only worsened a few days ago.

The people are all dejected without their Alpha and have lost hope on the pack , some people were already moving out , while others were preparing to do that.

Raven was taking her revenge, and it was coming in worse than ever , she wasn't coming for us directly, but attacking the things we hold dear one by one.

“ We need to return back to the pack today itself” Skyler said grinding her teeth, she had already finished reading the letter

“ We need to get home and start the search for the witch tomorrow, we don't have much time anymore . We need to act now before she destroys everything that we hold dear”

I nodded too drain to speak , the witch sure knew how to destroy a man from the inside. The people I swore to protect are in danger and I couldn't do anything.

“ She would surely come to destroy this pack also , when she's fully healed and I cannot bear to see that happen , even if it's no longer in our hands I still consider it my father's pack.”

She turned to me and rested her head on my arm.  “ I'm so sorry” she said “ this is all my fault , this witch wants revenge against me and it's destroying your people.”

I drew her into a hug thatI really needed. “ It's not your fault, even without you in the picture, Freya already had the book , and would still find a sick excuse to use it.”

After a while in her arm, I stood up “ we need to go now “ I said

The priestess also stood up “ you can do this , be with each other and you can overcome anything” she said softly “ and for you Skyler , never underestimate how powerful you are.”

We both nodded and thanked the priestess, Skyler bent and hugged her.

After our goodbyes, we entered the car and I drive off

“ That's not the way to Killian's pack” Skyler said after a while

“ I know” I replied “ I'll inform Killian to send our things over , we are going straight to my people.”

She nodded and squeezed my right hand in the steering wheel a little.

Skyler fell asleep on our way and when we got close to my pack , I could see nothing as a great black fog covered the palace from the ground to the sky
