Raven's POV
He called for two of the guards, and told them they needed to escort me to the forest . He told them they had to obediently follow my orders , since I knew the Luna better.
I returned to my room and brought a straddle bag big enough to contain my book, three candles ,a red linen and the other items I needed for the ritual. When I was sure I had everything I needed , I went outside and left with the guards in the car.
One of the guards drove , while I sat on the passenger seat ,the other guard stayed behind , when we got to the foot of the forest, I still sat down in the car
I turned to the guards “ you guys would have to return to the palace immediately”
The guard who drove countered immediately “ Beta Brandon tasked us with protecting you , we can't just leave you like that”
“Beta Brandon would have our head for that” the other guard added
“ He also said you should listen to me” I said “ and by the way, do you think I need protection from the Luna, our very own Luna , my friend, she probably needs me , she needs to say the things in her heart, and she wouldn't if she saw two unwanted guest with me”
They seem to be thinking it through , I continued trying to convince them
“ Even if Luna tries to hurt me , I would just run away from the forest and I don't think she would leave the body of the Alpha to chase a commoner like me .”
They finally seemed to be convinced
“ Ok , but if you sense any danger run out immediately” one of them said
“ Yes , I like living too” I said with a smile which made them chuckle.
I got some from the car, and waved them goodbye as they drove off. When I sensed they were gone I stepped into the forest. I walked for a while before I finally saw her cradling her dead mate in her arms. She looked pale , and her hair was unkempt. I couldn't see her face as she had her back to me. My

If I had access to all my powers or I was in a stronger body, I would have loved to see her struggle as I killed her, but no, I had to let go of that pleasure if I really wanted to be free
As I got closer, she didn't even seem to notice , until I hit her on the back of her head with the log I picked up earlier and she slumped.
Skyler's POV
I was seated with Devon and Killian on a rock not far away from where I and Devon's fakes were. I had been here all morning, pacing restlessly and waiting for the witch.
I was praying hard for it to not be Ella , even though I was convinced deep in my heart that it was her.
I kicked a stone and almost tripped when Devon caught me
“Sky, it's ok” he said “ come sit down, pacing around wouldn't do you any good”
“ He is right, you know,” Killian added, “ you just have to calm down.”
Devon dragged me back to the rock and sat me down gently on it , placing my head on his shoulder as he sat down too.
“ We've been here since the first sign of daybreak and we haven't seen anybody, what if the possessed isn't one of the servants” I asked in a low voice.
“ Then we go back and think of another plan” Devon said slowly stroking my hair
“ Sooner or later, they would come looking for you , since Raven needs you so much,” Killian said.
He was sharpening the edges of the arrow I was to lodge in Raven's heart, while a bowl with my blood in it was right beside him.
I drifted back to when we had arrived at the priestesses place right before dawn.The amazement I felt seeing two people looking like me and Devon already seated in the priestess' small living room . The priestess had already assured us she would make a fake with our blood but nothing beats seeing it come to reality
The priestess sat with them, having a conversation before we entered and at that point I understood why black magic was forbidden. It could cause wars, if used wrongly.
I walked towards them, and the fake me stood up and moved closer to me ,I couldn't help but run my hands over her face
“ You're beautiful, so Divine” I said holding her cheeks lovingly
She copied my action and ran her hands over my face, stopping at my cheeks “ so are you.”
The priestess stood up and went into the other room , after a while she came back with a bowl filled with white powder
“ The ashes of a ghost bird” she said as she came closer “stretch out your hands”
The three of us stretched out our hands , and she applied the ashes to our palms and our foreheads one after another.
“ Just as the ghost bird is rarely seen by its enemies, you have become just like it , invisible to your enemies”
She said as she brought another bowl and a knife “ I used up all the blood I collected from you yesterday, so wewould need another one from you”
Just then the sound of a broken stick brought me back, Devon and Killian were already alert and watching.
“ Freya was Ella's sister” I whispered to myself, not out of shock, but I had wished so hard that it wasn't her.
I picked up the bow and hung it on my shoulder , Killian carried the arrows as we moved closer.
I expected her to gloat at me, to talk about how she won ,but she picked a log and hit the fake Skyler on her head and she slumped.
She laughed hysterical, “ Riverine, this one looks like you a lot” she said finally gloating “her eyes also shine as bright as yours always did”
She turned to the place we were standing, staring directly at me and I could see her looking through my soul. I thought she she had already seen us , till she turned back to Skyler and continued
“ I won Riverine , I won” she said with a big smile.
