ELLA's POV

With them gone, the people startef go return back to their homes,Beta Brandon who was acting Alpha commanded that after we cleaned up the palace, we should take the remaining day to ourselved

We immediately went to work and after a while we were done,most of the maids went outside to gossip while some went to the servant's room to rest.

I walked slowly toward the west wing, my steps were carefully, and I lowered my head..

Freya’s room was still untouched, there was no order from the Alpha concerning her room , and everyone was scared to go inside because they believed she performed black magic.

I looked to both sides , and when I confirmed no one was there I slipped inside and closed the door softly behind me.

The room smelled of dust and dried flowers, but her scent still lingered.I stood still for a moment , taking in everything in the room

Then I walked towards her bed and ran my fingers gently over her blanket and over her pillow, this made my chest tighten with pain.

“I miss you,” I whispered , I moved around the room slowly, touching her things,her comb and everything on her dressing table felt precious.

When I finally opened her wardrobe, my breath hitched.Her dresses were gung neatly, she always had been so princess like.I slowly reached in and pulled out a blue gown and pressed it to my face.

It still smelled like her and I hugged it tightly to my chest, closing my eyes and savouring the feeling

Tears threatened to spill from my eyes, but I held myself.

Just then a book caught my eye, it was at the back of the wardrobe where I just removed the gown from.

It was a large brown covered book, it looked old and worn out, and looked so out of place in my sister's cute room.

So I pulled it out carefully, and dust rose from  it ,it was written in a language I couldn't understand, symbols rather.

I flipped through it slowly, each page thick, what sort of paper was used for this book . The ones felt strange , but a particular one caught my attention, I felt drawn to it and couldn't look away ,It felt heavy and important and then I finally read it out loud.

The moment it left my lips, I felt unbearable pain all through my body, it felt like my bones were being smashed.I gasped, trying to get air into my lungs butmy head snapped upward.

I tried to scream, but nothing came out, I was in toouch pain I thought I would pass out, I could feel my eyes shone a bright green and then darkness.

Raven’s POV

I dropped my head back , seeing through this vessels eyes, I finally have possessed a body, making movements easier for me. The eyes slowly turned back to their normal brown

The vessel was weak and broken , so easy to manipulate.

What her sister did not complete , she would

And she'll bring me so much closer to my goals.

I looked at my book , picked it off the floor and carried it back to my room.
Author’s POV

They arrived at the Bluemoon pack late in the afternoon,the gates of the palace were already open when they reached as if waiting for their arrival. Guards stood on each side, alert but welcoming. Some members of Killian's council were also there to welcome the Alpha of the most prestigious pack.Skyler had sent a guard beforehand informing them of their arrival.

Killian was also there with them, standing at the front like the leader he was born to be and as soon as Skyler stepped down from the car,a wide smile appeared on his face. The guards helped her bring Devon out of the car while she ran to her brother..

“Skiddie,” he called out.

Skyler stopped running and looked at him, blushing

“Dont call me that in public” she said coyly “ want would my guards think of their Luna

Killian walked toward her and hugged her tightly,“You’ll always be Skiddie,” he said. “No matter what you become, you'll still be my skiddie.”

Skyler sighed but hugged him back

“Don't let Devon hear you , he'll tease me for life,” she replied.Killian laughed.

Devon was wheeled closer and stayed beside her quietly. Killian turned to him and bowed his head slightly.

“Alpha Devon,” he greeted. “You are welcome to the Blue moon pack.”

“Thank you for receiving us,Alpha Killian,” Devon replied.

When the welcoming ceremony was over , the rest of the council members went back home after giving Devon their best wishes.

The guards immediately went to work offloading the gifts from the car as the person in command directed. The guards from the Blue moon pack also lended hands to take the gifts into the storage.

“ Why so many gifts?” Killian asked amused

“ My people wanted to thank you” Devon replied.Killian nodded confused as to why he was being thanked

“ Let's go inside” Skyler added calmly

They went into the main hall and was served, but Skyler's eyes kept wandering, she had not seen her sister-in-law for a long time , and last she remembered, she was pregnant,she frowned and then looked to Killian

“Where is Rose?” Skyler asked. “ Doesn't she know that I'm here”

The question made Beta Lois who was standing beside Killian to flinch with discomfort

Killian did not answer immediately and Skyler chuckled lightly.

“Is she hiding from me?” she asked playfully. “Or is she avoiding me because she has grown very fat from pregnancy?, I don't really mind, I'll also grow fat when Devon puts a baby in me”

She smiled as she said this unaware of the change in the atmosphere

Killian’s expression changed, his face set to hard lines.

“Skyler,” he called.

She turned toward him,“What?”she asked “ I'm being serious, I don't mind”.

Killian paused before saying “Rose is dead.”

Skyler froze, unable to comprehend what Killian just said

“What do you mean?” she asked her voice dropping very low

“She was killed when we were attacked by some rogue wolves,” Killian replied.

Skyler stood up immediately, her eyes filled with tears

“No,” she said quietly. “That can't be, she was so happy to make you both parents, and that was snatched from her, from you”.

Killian nodded slowly “ They took that from us , and I would make sure to avenge her and our child .”

Her tears began falling freely as she sobbed, Devon held her hand and gently sat her down , rubbing her hands as a form of comfort.

“I wasn’t here,” she said. “You went through this alone, all by yourself and I was faraway thinking you abandoned me , while you went through the most difficult time of your life, I'm sorry.”

She wiped her face, but the tears continued,her voice breaking as she spoke

“I should have been here with you.”

Killian shook his head and he tried to control himself “You had responsibilities of your own , your pack needed you just as much.”

“But you suffered alone,grieved the loss of your mate by yourself” Skyler insisted.

Devon turned to Killian “I am deeply sorry for your loss,” he said. “Even If I didn't know her in person, sky had confirmed her to be a lovely person.”

Killian nodded once, before saying “Thank you.”and the hall became quiet.

They moved into Killian's office to talk privately,  Skyler sat down slowly, wheeling Devon closer to herself

After a moment, Killian looked at Devon.“What happened to you?” he asked. “I heard rumors.”

Devon exhaled.“That was fast”he said “Some members of my council tried to assassinate me.”

Killian frowned “Your own council?”

“Yes,” Devon replied
