Our love knows no end
Our love knows no end
Selene — POV
The palace buzzed with life and music, but in my chamber… everything was still.
Maids fluttered around me like bright wings—fixing the final pearls into my gown, adjusting the lace veil, smoothing the silver-white waves of my hair. My heart felt too big for my chest, swollen with excitement and disbelief. For so long, my life had been nothing but fear, agony, and chains. Yet here I was—about to marry the man who saved me. The man who loved every broken piece of me and made them whole again.
“You look breathtaking,” Leonora whispered, smiling softly.
Lira clasped my hands and kissed my cheek. “Good luck, Luna,” she teased with a shimmering grin.
Luna.
The word made warmth bloom inside me. Tonight—my destiny changed forever.
The palace grounds transformed into a dream. Lanterns suspended like floating stars, wolfborn banners dancing in the breeze, roses lining the aisle like spilled moonlight. Humans and wolfkind gathered together—united—for the first time in centuries.
Music swelled. A Thousand Years. ( by Christina Perri).
My breath hitched.
Aeron stood at the end of the aisle… strong, composed… but I could see it in his eyes—how much he adored me. His dark hair framed his handsome face, and when he saw me, his lips parted like he forgot how to breathe.
My steps were slow and reverent. Every heartbeat echoed a vow—this is real, this is happening.
When my hand reached his, Aeron squeezed gently, grounding me when I felt like I might drift upward with the stars.
“You are radiant,” he whispered.
“And you are mine,” I whispered back—earning a soft chuckle.
The ceremony began—sacred words spoken under the blessing of moon and kingdom.
“I vow to protect you,” he promised, voice full of devotion.
“And I vow to stand by you,” I answered, “in light and in darkness.”
When we kissed—cheers and howls erupted from all around us. Wolves bowed their heads, humans clapped and laughed. Even the king smiled with pride.
For the first time… I truly belonged.
The celebration became a roaring joy: music, dancing, shared food, old tensions dissolving like fog under sun. Wolves shifted playfully, running past laughing children. The unity I once thought impossible—now right before my eyes.
Except…
Princess Aliyah.
She approached in red silks, beautiful as a rose with thorns. Her gaze flicked to Aeron—full of a love she would never have returned. For me—there was no bow, no respect. Just cold silence.
Aeron gently stepped closer, his hand protective at my waist.
“Aliyah,” he greeted evenly.
“Aeron,” she replied,, then left without another word.
I sighed, but Aeron pressed a kiss to my temple.
“She will understand someday,” he murmured. “Love does not force—it only waits.”
And I hoped he was right.
Night deepened. Stars crowned the sky.
Our wedding carriage carried us to the royal wing—guards forming an honored escort. My hands trembled—not in fear but with overwhelming happiness.
Our honeymoon took place in a breathtakingly elegant chamber within the palace, its soft candlelight casting a warm glow around us. That night, Aeron drew me into his arms and kissed me tenderly, as though the world existed only for the two of us.
His hands slid down my waist, holding me close as he helped me out of my gown, letting it slip silently to the floor. We moved together toward the bed, guided by instinct and a love that had waited far too long for this moment.
Aeron hovered above me, his lips continuing to claim mine with growing passion. When his breath brushed my ear, his whisper sent a shiver down my spine.
“I mark you now, Selene,” he murmured. “You are mine… my Luna.”
My heart pounded as I cupped his face.
“Yes… I’m yours, my Alpha,” I breathed.
Our bodies joined in a slow, intimate rhythm, every touch filled with devotion, every breath shared like a vow. The world fell away, leaving only us — bound by the moon, by destiny, and by the love we had fought so hard to protect.
When at last we lay together in the quiet afterglow, Aeron kissed my forehead softly.
“I love you, Selene,” he whispered.
I smiled, brushing my thumb over his cheek.
“And I love you, Aeron. Our love has no end.”
The End!
