Chapter 203: Epilogue

Chapter 203: Epilogue
Vida's POV

"Let's go, baby!" Meredith had whispered taking my arms the moment the ceremony ended and the kids had suddenly ditch us, Aiden said he is spending the night at Roe's place, apart from Roe having a fourteen years old daughter, he also had a son who Aiden is few months older than, while alpha Casper's daughter, had asked Winter to go home with them, and Zaryra is staying at Alonso, even when Xavier didn't like the idea, but Zaryra being one not to be told didn't listen, I understand while Xavier didn't like the idea of Zaryra staying behind, but he can't limits Zaryra to just few friends, when we slipped into the car.

The ride home felt different, quiet, but not uncomfortable, just full of everything we had just witnessed, everything we had built, and everything we were still holding onto, for the first time in sixteen years, it was Meredith and me, no children in the back seat, no voices interrupting our conversation, no laughter filling the space just us. Just two of us.

I glanced at him from the corner of my eyes, his hands were firm on the steering wheel, his posture relaxed but focused, the glow of the streetlight bridging against his handsome face as we drove through the night. Sixteen years later, and he still looks the same. As I first met him, he was still strong, steady, and mine. My gaze lingered a little longer than it should have, tracing the lines of his arms, the way his veins flexed slightly as he held the wheel, the control in his movements. Suddenly, something shifted inside me, warmth and unexpectedness. I swallowed hard, shifting slightly in my seat, I pressed my legs together subtly, trying to control myself, trying to ignore the sudden wave if awareness rushing through me, I bite my lower lips trying to think of something that could distract me but no, nothing seem to be working, because all my head could picture was Meredith's nude torso, I shake my head imagining the kids and probably what they would be doing right now but it didn't go away, instead it grew stronger and memories of how we had made them was clouded in my head, my breath hitched faintly, I turned my face towards the window as if that would help while biting my lower lips harder, "Love," his voice was soft, too soft and knowing, I froze slowly turning toward him

"Yes!" I whispered couldn't add another word because the moment I met his gaze, I could already see that knowing smile on his face. I straightened slightly, trying to act normal, but my body betrayed me; my eyes stripped him nude. "You are quiet," I said weakly.

He didn't respond immediately, just looked at me, then twitched his lips, "You are aroused."

My breath caught as the word hit me, "What? No!" He laughed low and deep, then sniffed the air. For a second, I had forgotten he was a werewolf and could smell my arousal.

"I can smell you." Heat rushed to my face instantly, and I let out a small, embarrassing laugh, shaking my head, since I can't deny it.

"You are impossible," I whisper, biting my lower lip.

"Come here," he murmured

I blinked, "Meredith..." I glanced at the road, "We are driving." I whisper, remembering how my actions had almost caused Meredith's ability to walk. "Just ignore me," I said, not wanting what happened eighteen years ago to repeat itself.

"How can I ignore my little kitten, when she needs attention?" He smirked, his eyes roved over my chest.

"But we are driving?"

He shakes his head, "We are parked now." I frowned when I realized the car had stopped. I hadn't even noticed; he had pulled over to the side of the road.

"Meredith!" Before I could protest further, he reached for me, gently, firmly, and pulling me closer, the driver's seat shifted slightly as he adjusted it, creating space between us. My heart started racing, "This is dangerous," I whispered even as I didn't pull away.

He shook his head, his forehead brushing mine, "No, it's just us." and then he kissed me softly at first, just a brush of lips. The moment his lips touched mine, the heat in my body built up, my desires filled the car, I pressed my lips into his, and he parted his lips. Slowly, the kiss deepened naturally, like always, we moved in the same space, like we already knew each other. Just his lips against mine, I was already melting like some ketchup on bread. "You don't know what you do to me." Meredith whispered between our lips as I settled fully on his legs, "For many years, I had imagined what it feels like to have you in the car." His words hit me, and another wave of pleasure followed. His hand found its way to my hiking gown, and he could already see my core soaking wet. "No undies again, you naughty girl." I giggled softly.

"You know, it's not my thing,” I moaned out.

"I am not complaining," he whispered, biting my lower lip while sucking hard on it. I parted my lips, letting his tongue slip into my mouth. I moaned out too loudly as our tongues danced with each other.

"I like that sound," he groaned helplessly while his fingers pushed into my entrance without warning. I gasped in pleasure, "I think the little monster in my pants is dying to come out and fill you in." He hissed, withdrew his hand from my entrance, and grabbed my wrist to be able to undo his zipper. I found my hand moving on its own and pulled the zipper down immediately. I took off the button of his pants. And his pintle shot out, gunning my entrance. Meredith's hands slipped to my waist, then he lowered me into it. A sharp moan left my throat the moment Meredith was inside me completely.

"Oh, goddess!" I moaned wantonly as he kept thrusting inside me; we were both naked in his car. My hand moves to his bare chest, feeling the steady rhythm of his heartbeat beneath my palm. His head dipped to my bosom, sucking hard on my nipples, my body shivered in pleasure, and my hand grabbed his hair, pulling it hard. When he let go of my bosom, he moved inside, "faster baby!" I cried out, and he didn't disappoint me. Although the car space was small. Meredith was a work of art. He thrust faster inside me and then suddenly his fangs elongated.

"I want to mark you again." He whispered, I nodded, and without warning, his fangs sank into my shoulder, I let out a sharp cry. He wiped his tongue on the place he had bitten, and pleasure hit me.

"Meredith!" As my body convulsed with pleasure, "I want to pee!" I scream he giggled.

"Do that with me." He whispered as we both came undone at the same time, "I love you!" He whispered when he finally pulled out of me, and our foreheads rested together. Breathing unevenly but calmly, I smiled softly.

"You haven't changed."

He smirked faintly, "Neither have you." A quiet laugh left me, and I leaned forward again, pressing another soft kiss on his lips, not the rushed type or the wild type, but the type filled with promise of staying by his side till my last breath.

He pulled me closer to himself, wrapping his arms around me, "I just want us to remain like this."

"Even I wanted this but we have to go." He nodded, still not letting go, "Come on, Meredith, I need to cover my nudity, and you need to as well!" He looks at me, pecks my lips.

"Just tonight, can you sit in that chair without anything and your legs on my nude thighs?" My eyes bulge, he really doesn't mean that. I look at him, and he nods, "This route is barely taken by anyone at this time." It was then that I realized, since our little wild night, no one had passed. I nodded, then did as he asked. The glass was tinted, so if ever a car passed, they wouldn't see anything.

When we finally settled back into our seats, with my legs stretched on his, and his arms wrapped around my legs, the car was filled with a comfortable, Warm, and closer silence. I turned slightly towards him, studying his face.

Sixteen years had already passed since we had our first pup and almost eighteen years since the accident that almost left him cripple. Eighteen years ago, I had sat in this position in his car, battling words with him, trying to irritate the shit out of him. I hated him and so does he.

Did we really hate each other, or was it the only way we knew how to hide our fear? Our fear of rejection, our fear of the unknown, and the pending danger lurking around us.

Twenty years ago, when we first met the night he had come to protect Akira because he was sent by his alpha to protect his mate, if someone had told me this would be my life, I would have laughed, or maybe cried because back then everything between us felt too impossible, too broken, too painful, too complicated to even be fixed. We had fought, blamed each other for our loss, said hurtful words to each other, I had wished for death, but here we are sitting beside each other, holding hands, without saying hurtful words to each other, choosing each other every single day. My eyes found his bare chest, and then moved to his hands that were resting lazily on my legs, I reached for them, pulling my body from my seat and leaning towards him. He glanced at me and I smiled, "twenty years ago," I began softly, "if someone had told me we would end up like this..." I shook my head slightly. “I wouldn't have believed them"

His hands move from my legs and reach for my hands, intertwining with mine instantly, "but we did it, we fought through it all," he said quietly

I nodded, "We did, nothing could separate us, not the hurtful words, not the wheelchair, not the fake girlfriend..." He laughed probably remembering Amanda, "not Roe, not the guardian, not my father..."

"And not death!" He added, I nodded as a small silence passed through us, then I leaned closer, resting my head lightly against his shoulders.

"I love you." The words came out easily, naturally, like the air that I breathe; he didn't hesitate before responding.

"I love you too."
