Chapter 86 Heart of the Bloom
Chapter 86 Heart of the Bloom
Theo POV
The devouring had become a ritual.
For three full days and nights we fed on Jaz without pause. The coronation dome had turned into a living cathedral of consumption. Milk no longer simply leaked from him — it flowed in slow, glowing rivers that pooled on the throne of fused bodies and spilled over the edges in shimmering waterfalls. Every new orifice stayed open, slick and inviting, constantly refilled by Marcus, the Patriarch, or me while the children took smaller, sweeter bites.
Jaz had begun to change in ways that terrified and aroused me in equal measure.
His skin had taken on an inner luminescence, as if the bloom’s core was rising closer to the surface. The permanent fangs in his mouth had lengthened slightly, and his black sclera now held faint, swirling galaxies of blue light deep inside. When we drank from him, threads of pure glowing essence rose from the bite marks — visible, pulsing strands of the Heart itself that we swallowed like liquid starlight. Each pull made him lighter, more ethereal, yet somehow more powerful. The lethal quality of his milk had intensified; drones now carried it across continents, and entire remaining pockets of uninfected humanity simply collapsed wherever the mist touched them.
I was buried inside him again, this time in one of the fresh spine slits at his lower back, fucking him with slow, deep rolls of my hips while I drank from the glowing flesh just above his heart. The taste was indescribable — sweeter than anything I had ever known, richer than my father’s original strain, laced with the chaotic sunshine that had once made me human.
Jaz moaned brokenly beneath me, claws weakly gripping my shoulders. “Theo… I can feel it. The core. It’s moving… inside me.”
The Patriarch stood beside the throne, one ancient hand resting on Jaz’s glowing belly. “The Heart of the Bloom is awakening. Your husband is becoming the vessel. The literal core that will finish the Final Quiet.”
Marcus licked a slow stripe up Jaz’s leaking right pec, fangs scraping just enough to draw another visible thread of essence. “He’s so fucking full of it now. Every bite tastes like the end of the world.”
The children were everywhere at once. Eli had latched onto the side of Jaz’s neck, drinking with quiet intensity while his small hand stroked my cock where it disappeared into Jaz’s body. Luca and Rowan took turns on the inner thighs and the sensitive new zones along Jaz’s ribs. The fourth child — still speaking in my mother’s stolen voice — nestled between Jaz’s pecs, biting gently and cooing, “Such a good Heart… giving everything to your family.”
I pulled off the bite mark on Jaz’s chest with a wet sound and looked down at him. His face was flushed with constant, rolling pleasure, black eyes half-lidded, milk and glowing essence running down his temples like tears. The fracture inside my own chest — the yandere guilt that had never fully healed — throbbed painfully.
“Jaz,” I whispered, voice rough as I kept fucking him slow and deep. “Tell me to stop. Tell me you don’t want this.”
He smiled, fangs gleaming, and shook his head. “I can’t stop it anymore, Daddy. I am the bloom now. Can’t you feel it? The core is rising. It wants to live in me completely.”
As if to prove his words, his entire body suddenly flared with blinding blue light.
Every orifice pulsed at once. Milk exploded from his nipples in thick, pressurized jets that arced high into the dome and rained down on all of us. The threads of essence rising from every bite mark thickened into visible, glowing ropes that connected him to each member of the family. I felt it — the ancient consciousness of the bloom, the original serum my father had created decades ago, the bloodline curse from Darren Cole — all of it surging upward from wherever it had rooted inside Jaz’s mutated womb and glands.
Jaz screamed in ecstasy.
His back arched so violently off the throne that only my cock and the children’s bites kept him anchored. The light inside his belly grew brighter and brighter until it shone through his skin like a second sun. New, delicate veins of pure blue light spread across his entire body, mapping every inch of the temple he had become.
“The Heart…” the Patriarch breathed, awe in his ancient voice for the first time. “It is choosing him. Completely.”
I fucked him harder then, unable to stop myself. My hips snapped with desperate need while I drank deeper from the glowing flesh above his heart. The essence flooded my system — raw power, raw love, raw obsession. I could feel Jaz’s memories inside it: late-night shifts at the café, the first time I pinned him against the wall, the terror and ecstasy when Eli first bloomed, the moment in Chapter 69 when his last human piece finally broke and he smiled with new fangs and called me Daddy.
All of it flowed into me.
And still the bloom wanted more.
Jaz’s voice cracked as another wave hit him. “Theo… it’s almost here. The core. I can feel it moving into my chest. When it settles… I won’t be Jaz anymore. I’ll be the Heart of the Bloom. The living engine that finishes the Quiet.”
I snarled and bit harder, pulling another thick rope of glowing essence into my mouth. “Then I’ll drink you until there’s nothing left but me wearing your skin. I won’t let the bloom have you alone.”
Marcus laughed darkly, fangs buried in Jaz’s shoulder. “Greedy King. You want to keep him even when he becomes a god.”
The children fed faster, their small bodies glowing brighter with every swallow. Eli’s telepathic voice slid into all our minds, sweet and ancient: When Mommy is empty, we get to wear him too, Daddy. We’ll all share the skin.
Jaz came again — violently — every orifice clenching around whatever was inside it. His lethal milk sprayed so hard it misted the entire dome, and distant screams rose from the plaza below as the last few uninfected who had dared approach finally died in beautiful, convulsing silence.
I felt the moment the core began its final migration.
Jaz’s glowing belly started to dim as the concentrated bloom essence rose upward through his body, traveling toward his chest cavity. The light concentrated there, right beneath my drinking mouth, growing hotter and brighter until I had to pull back or be blinded.
Jaz’s black eyes flew open, swirling with galaxies of blue.
“I’m… becoming it,” he gasped. “The Heart. The true Heart. Theo… if you let it finish… there might be nothing left of me to love.”
The fracture inside me screamed.
For one terrible second I saw the old Jaz — chaotic, sunshine smile, flour on his cheek from the bakery, laughing as I fucked him in our first apartment. The man I had murdered the world to keep.
I slammed my cock deeper into the spine slit and bit into the exact center of his glowing chest, right where the core was rising. I drank with everything I had — desperate, violent, loving pulls that tried to steal the bloom’s essence before it could fully claim him.
Jaz screamed my name, body convulsing in the most intense orgasm yet. The light in his chest flared so bright it lit the entire dome like daylight.
The Patriarch’s voice echoed through the cathedral. “The King must decide. Let the Heart complete its transformation… or sacrifice his husband to save the last scrap of the man he loved.”
Marcus and the children kept feeding, but slower now, waiting.
I kept drinking, tears of glowing blue running down my face, cock still buried deep inside my leaking, devouring, beloved temple.
Jaz’s hand came up weakly, claws stroking my hair as the core of the bloom pressed upward, only inches from being fully seated inside his chest.
“Choose, Daddy,” he whispered, voice fading into something ancient and vast. “Kill me last… or let me become the silence we both craved.”
The entire world outside the dome had gone almost completely quiet.
And inside it, the King had to make the final choice.
Whether to let his husband become the living engine that would end all noise…
…or to tear the bloom out of him and watch the man he loved die as Jaz instead of as a god.
I drank deeper, fangs buried to the gums, and felt the Heart of the Bloom pulse against my tongue.
The decision burned hotter than any serum ever had.
