Chapter 517 Leave a Bad Review
Chapter 517 Leave a Bad Review
After Eddy had been talking tirelessly for a long, long time.
Myron finally responded.
"You can stay over there and never come back."
Eddy was puzzled.
The call had already been disconnected.
"What does that mean?"
He turned to Holly, who was snacking and watching a show, for help.
Holly glanced at him and said, "It means he can't hit you through the phone line. He'll deal with you when you get back."
Eddy's eyes widened.
"Heartless!"
"Can't people tell the truth these days?"
However, Eddy's words did have some impact on Myron.
He silently looked at the delicious takeout in the container.
Then he glanced at his own unappetizing meal.
He recalled how every time he cooked, Luann would praise him enthusiastically.
"Wow! Myron, you're amazing! The food looks so appetizing!"
"Oh my God, Myron, I can't believe you made this delicious meal!"
"This is incredible, it's so good it makes me want to cry!"
"Myron, you're a perfect genius. Marrying you is my luck!"
And then Luann really did cry.
It didn't seem fake at all!
His Luann wouldn't lie to him.
After all, tastes differ, and it's normal for picky eaters not to like his cooking.
Thinking this, Myron's hands still honestly poured the takeout into a plate.
The container was beautiful and not disposable.
After a simple wash, Myron put his own food in it, sealed it, put it back in the bag, and acted as if nothing had happened.
All the windows in the house were open for ventilation.
To disperse the slightly burnt smell in the kitchen.
When Luann came down, she was shivering from the cold.
"So cold."
Myron was sitting on the couch, lost in thought, imagining what Luann would say about his food, so much so that he didn't even hear her coming down the stairs.
He quickly got up, closed all the windows, and turned on the heater.
"Why did you come down with so little on?"
Myron lovingly draped a blanket over her.
Luann yawned, still looking sleepy.
She was like a little cat, lazy yet elegant.
"The heater in the bedroom was on full blast, I thought it would be the same outside."
Luann sniffed the air.
"What's that smell? Did you cook?"
As she asked, her heart was in her throat.
No way, no way.
If she had known, she wouldn't have slept.
In such a short time, did Myron blow up the kitchen again?
"No," Myron said calmly, pointing to the table, "I ordered takeout."
Luann unconsciously breathed a sigh of relief, a smile spreading across her lips.
"Great, I'm hungry. Let's eat!"
She happily ran over.
Opened the bag and took everything out one by one.
Then, she lifted the lids.
Luann was puzzled.
Myron came over and saw her little face all scrunched up, so he asked, "What's wrong?"
Luann couldn't believe it. She checked the packaging to make sure it was indeed takeout, then sat down dejectedly.
"This doesn't look very good!"
She remembered having this takeout before!
It wasn't this bad!
Could it be that she hadn't had it in a while and they changed the chef?
Or maybe the food had been sitting too long and changed?
Whatever.
No matter what.
It had to be better than Myron's cooking!
God knows how she had survived these past few days.
"Hmm?" Myron couldn't wait for Luann's follow-up and couldn't help but ask.
His tone had a slight upward inflection, carrying a hint of barely noticeable anticipation.
However, Luann, lost in thought, didn't notice this small detail.
Because she couldn't imagine that Myron would pull such a trick.
"Nothing, nothing, let's eat!"
She took a bite of the food!
Luann immediately spat it out.
Myron quickly looked at her with concern.
"So salty," Luann couldn't help but say.
Actually, she wasn't very picky about food.
But recently, Myron had been driving her crazy, and she had a lot of complaints with no outlet, so she decided to vent them all on this food!
Myron's heart sank.
Oh no, did he mess up again?
"Try something else."
Luann continued to taste.
"Yuck! It's burnt! How can they sell burnt food? Aren't they afraid of making customers sick?"
"Why is there no salt in this?"
"My God, why is this food so bad!"
"Myron, this isn't nearly as good as your cooking!"
"We should blacklist this place and never order from them again."
Luann chattered on, criticizing from all angles: appearance, aroma, and taste.
Luann felt better.
But Myron did not.
Luann took a deep breath, feeling much more relieved!
"Myron, why aren't you saying anything?"
Myron's face was dark, and his mouth twitched.
Say?
What could he say?
What was there to say!
Eddy was right, Luann had been lying to him for the sake of his pride!
Myron took several deep breaths to calm his nearly shattered nerves.
Finally, clinging to a sliver of hope.
"It can't be that bad, can it?"
Luann, like a firefighter putting out a blaze, mercilessly extinguished the last spark in Myron's heart.
"It's really bad, really, I want to give it a bad review."
Two "reallys" hit Myron right in the heart.
Myron slammed his hand on the table.
He stood up abruptly.
He was angry.
Really angry!
"Then throw it away."
He said with a stern face and went upstairs.
Although Luann hated wasting food, she felt this stuff was really inedible.
Huh?
Why are there a few dishes in the kitchen?
Luann was stunned, looking at the food in her hand and then at the dishes on the table.
In an instant, she understood everything.
"Oh no, did I say something wrong?"
