Chapter 60 - Andy
"What do you mean Dennis was killed? Who killed him?" Hayden asked, putting his arms around Natalia, who was staring in shock at Andy.
"We found Jon, and he was waiting for us. He got a shot off before we could react. Unfortunately, he got away before we could catch him. He's unraveling fast, so I want to get you out of here before he comes for you next. He already knows you're here, Natalia, and we know he has a gun. I have a transport van downstairs. We can take the service elevator. I don't want to take the chance of passing him in the lobby." Andy made a move to get behind Natalia's wheelchair, but Hayden stopped him.
"We're not going anywhere. We have security downstairs that will stop anyone from getting up here. You were only allowed because they recognized you from being here before. This is where we're the safest." Hayden glared at the FBI agent. How dare he try to push Natalia's chair?
"Listen, you don't have a choice. We already know that Captain Clifton is compromised and has been helping Jon. We don't know how many others may be working with him. It's imperative to leave in order to keep you safe." Andy pleaded with Natalia, but she shook her head.
"No, Hayden is right. We're staying here. With the police and security downstairs Jon won't be able to get up here even if he's wearing one of his masks." She commented, holding Hayden's hand. It had scared her when Andy reached for her chair. She trusted no one other than Hayden, Dorian, and Krista. She watched Andy pace around the room in frustration. She knew he had just witnessed Dennis being killed, but something felt off about him.
"Hayden, can you take me to the restroom?" Natalia asked. He looked down at her and saw something in her eyes that made him think she had an ulterior motive.
"Of course." He replied and began pushing her to the bedroom. Andy turned to the other two, who were sitting on the couch.
"Will you please talk some sense into them? You understand how important this is, don't you?" Andy asked Krista, but she backed away from him, leaning against Dorian.
"I trust Hayden and Natalia. We'll do whatever they say." She answered, and Dorian nodded in agreement.
"You all are complete fools to think you're safe here," Andy said in anger. Krista and Dorian looked at each other, suddenly feeling uncomfortable. Dorian sent his team a quick message on his laptop to look into something for him.
In the bedroom, Natalia motioned for Hayden to shut the door and then had him push her to the bathroom. Once she felt there were enough doors to keep anyone from hearing, she spoke.
"Something's off with Andy. He's acting differently than the calm and collected man from before. I don't know what it is exactly, but something's not right." Natalia whispered.
"I agree something felt wrong out there, but I can't put my finger on it. Let's try to get him out of here as soon as possible. First, I want to make a call." Hayden pulled out his phone and tried to dial out, but nothing happened. It showed his phone had no service. He tried again, but still, nothing happened.
"My phone has no service. Let's go to the bedroom. I'm going to try and use the phone in there." He got ready to push her out of the bathroom, but she stopped him.
"Who are you calling?" She asked quietly.
"Dennis, something tells me he's not dead. I want to call and verify it for myself. Maybe Andy is also working with Jon." He pushed her into the bedroom, and just as he was about to pick up the phone, the bedroom door opened. Andy walked in with a smirk.
"I wouldn't do that if I were you." He pulled out a gun and aimed it at Natalia. Hayden quickly jumped in front of her.
"What the hell are you doing?" Hayden asked furiously.
"You didn't listen to me when I told you it was unsafe, so now I'm not giving you a choice. However, I've decided we're not going to leave. We're going to stay right here. Like you said, the security won't let anyone else up." Andy walked over to the couple, still holding the gun on them.
"Dorian, Krista, get out and get help," Hayden yelled. He listened, but there was no response. Andy started chuckling.
"They're a little tied up at the moment. You see, when you two came in here, it gave me the perfect opportunity to subdue them. Push her out into the other room now." Andy said, pointing to the open door. Hayden wanted to fight him, but he was worried about the gun going off and Natalia being caught in the crosshairs.
He pushed Natalia out of the room, trying to think of a plan. Andy walked behind him with the gun pointed at his back. Natalia gasped when she saw Dorian and Krista passed out on the couch. They had their hands tied behind their backs and gags tied around their heads so when they woke up, they won't be able to speak.
"What did you do to them?" She asked in shock.
"Nothing permanent. They're just sedated. They'll wake up soon." Andy answered.
"Okay, we're out here now what?" Hayden asked, still trying to figure out how he could get them out of this mess.
"I want you to sit down and shut up." Hayden angled Natalia's chair, so it was next to the couch, and he sat beside her. She reached her hand out to him and squeezed. She was terrified. What was Andy doing? She agreed with Hayden; she didn't think Dennis was dead either. It was obvious that Andy had his own agenda, but she didn't know what.
Andy walked behind Hayden and yanked his hand from Natalia's. He then used a zip tie to put his hands behind his back.
"What are you doing? I'm not going anywhere." Hayden spat at him as he tried to move his hands away from him. Andy pointed the gun at Natalia's head, so he stopped and let him finish.
"This is to make sure you don't go anywhere. I don't have to worry about tying Natalia up because, let's be honest, she can't get away." Andy walked around the couch and put zip ties around Hayden's ankles.
"What kind of FBI agent are you? You can't do this to us." Natalia yelled at him. He waved the gun in front of her.
"That's not true. I can do whatever I want, and there's nothing you can do to stop me. You both think you can do what you wish without consequences because you're wealthy. I have news for you that's no longer the case. I'm in charge now, and you'll do whatever I say." Andy laughed sickly. Hayden and Natalia exchanged a look of worry. How were they going to get out of this?
"What do you want? Money?" Hayden asked.
"I don't want your stinking money. You have nothing that I want. Natalia, on the other hand, does." Andy walked over to her and rubbed his hand on her cheek. She turned her head to avoid his touch, and he grabbed her chin, turning her back to face him.
"Don't touch me, you bastard." She said, glaring at him. Natalia had never felt so helpless as she did at that moment. She was the only one not tied up, but she was just as restrained as the others.
"I can touch you however I want, and you'll do whatever I say. Right now, I want your loving boyfriend to watch as I kiss you." Andy said as he looked at Hayden, who had a fire in his eyes.
"You touch her again, and you die," Hayden spoke through clenched teeth. He wanted to tackle Andy, but he was too close to Natalia. Even if he could stand and attack him, he wouldn't get far with his hands behind his back.
"I'm not the one that's going to die, but you all are. Remember what I said. I want you to play my game." Natalia and Hayden looked at each other in confusion.
"What are you talking about? You never said that to us." Natalia stated.
"Andy didn't say that to you, but I did." They watched in astonishment as he reached up and pulled the mask off his face. The man in front of them wasn't Andy; it was Jon. Natalia started screaming, and he slapped her hard across the face.
"Now it's time for me to pay you back bitch, and you will play my game. The name of the game is competing for love."
