Chapter 58 Willie Warns Nora

Chapter 58 Willie Warns Nora

James thought it was really sweet of Nora, so he poured out some cookie crumbs and took a bite. "Wow, these are amazing. Mrs. York nailed it."

"Seriously? Let me try." Clarence grabbed some too and tasted them, nodding in agreement. "Man, these are delicious!"

The brothers kept munching on the cookie crumbs in front of Steven, thoroughly enjoying themselves.

Suddenly, Steven slammed his documents on the table. "Can't you eat somewhere else?"

The brothers were caught off guard.

What's up with Steven? He's usually so chill and never shows his emotions.

"Get out!" Steven's eyes were blazing with anger.

They quickly bolted out, scared out of their minds.

Steven sat at his large desk, fuming.

So much for her saying she liked him. She didn't even give him a single cookie!

Nora walked into the office wearing a vintage red dress.

Everyone's eyes lit up.

"Wow, Nora, you look stunning today," Amelia said.

Nora gave a small smile and handed Amelia a bag of cookies. "Amelia, I made these cookies for you."

Olivia was always feeling nauseous, so there was no point in giving her any. These cookies didn't have preservatives and would go bad in a few days.

"Thanks, Nora! I can't wait to try them!" Amelia knew Nora was a fantastic baker and always looked forward to her treats.

The two sat at their desks, chatting.

Bianca walked over, wearing the same vintage red dress as Nora.

Outfit clash!

But whoever looked worse would be embarrassed!

Nora wore it like a model, with straight shoulders and great skin, looking absolutely stunning.

Bianca, on the other hand, had been in a fight the other day. Her face was bruised and discolored, and her skin wasn't as fair, making the cherry-red dress look tacky on her.

She angrily said, "Nora, are you a copycat? Why'd you buy the same dress as me?"

Amelia glanced at Bianca, munching on a cookie, and smiled brightly. "Someone's wearing the same outfit! Whoever looks worse is the one embarrassed!"

Nora couldn't help but laugh at that.

She had been feeling down, but seeing Bianca's miserable state made her feel better.

Bianca was fuming. "Nora, this dress is a new release from CR. Even on sale, it costs over $160. How could you afford such an expensive dress?"

"Over $160?" Nora laughed. "Then you got ripped off. I bought mine for $18 on clearance."

"$18?" Bianca didn't believe her. "You must have bought a fake."

She was about to accuse Nora of buying counterfeit goods when Philip walked over, his face stern. "Bianca, enough. Stop picking on Nora."

"Nora?" Bianca's face twisted with anger. "Philip, did you just call her Nora?"

Seeing Philip, Nora held up a bag of cookies. "Philip, thanks for your help lately. These cookies are for you. I made them myself."

Philip's eyes lit up. "You made these?"

"Yep," Nora nodded.

Amelia chimed in, "Philip, try them. Nora's cookies are really good!"

Philip took a bite and nodded. "They are delicious. Nora, you've got some serious baking skills."

The three of them chatted, completely ignoring Bianca.

Feeling humiliated, Bianca screamed, "Nora, why'd you give Philip cookies? Do you like him or something?"

Philip was taken aback and looked at Nora.

Nora, focused on her computer screen, replied coolly, "What's it to you?"

Enraged, Bianca lunged to pull Nora's hair.

But Philip caught her hand.

Towering over her, he glared coldly. "Bianca, you're acting like a lunatic!"

Bianca shook her head in panic. "It's not like that, Philip. I'm just so angry. Nora bought the same dress as me on purpose and gave you cookies..."

"Why are you mad about Nora giving me cookies? I'm happy to be friends with her. But you, what are you to me?"

Philip's eyes were icy.

Bianca was at a loss for words.

She wasn't anything to Philip, but she liked him!

Philip said calmly, "Bianca, I'm here at your brother's company to learn, not to get involved with you. Stop acting like you're my girlfriend."

He hadn't wanted to be so blunt, wanting to spare her some dignity, but she had gone too far.

Bianca's face turned pale.

Employees around them watched the drama unfold.

Feeling even more humiliated, Bianca covered her face and ran off to find Willie.

Willie, annoyed, asked, "What's wrong now?"

"Nora likes Philip!" Bianca cried. "If Philip is taken, then Nora will become a rich man's wife, right?"

Bianca couldn't let that happen!

She tearfully said, "Willie, if I marry Philip, it will help you. But if Nora marries him, will she help you? She'll probably just help Olivia. With her strong backing, how will you control Olivia? Our whole family will be bullied by her!"

Willie closed his eyes in frustration. "Can you stop bothering me with these trivial matters?"

Willie was constantly on the phone, extremely busy.

Bianca, furious, said, "Willie! I'm your sister. Now my man is being taken, and you won't stand up for me?"

Willie, his head pounding, frowned at her. "Go get Nora."

He was fed up with all this.

Bianca quickly went out, arrogantly telling Nora, "Nora, Willie wants to see you in his office."

Here we go again, running to tattle!

Nora was truly impressed by Bianca's ability to stir up trouble all the time.

With a cold expression, she went to Willie's office.

Ever since she found out about Willie's affair, she had no goodwill towards this family.

Standing in front of Willie's desk, she was expressionless.

Willie flipped through his files, speaking indifferently. "Nora, do you like Philip?"

"Willie, just get to the point," Nora said calmly.

Though she despised Willie, she wouldn't show it until she had the evidence.

Half of this company belonged to Olivia. She had to hold on until Olivia returned.

She knew Olivia's personality. Even if it came to divorce, Olivia wouldn't leave empty-handed. Only foolish girls walked away with nothing after working so hard.

Willie clasped his hands in front of him. "Nora, did you know Bianca likes Philip?"

"I know."

"Then you should be considerate and stop causing trouble for Bianca. Remember, this company will always belong to the Reeds," Willie finally couldn't resist using this to pressure her.
