Chapter 20 Is Steven a Stalking Pervert

Chapter 20 Is Steven a Stalking Pervert

"Isn't her name Nora?"

"Yeah, that's right."

"Then she must be his wife."

Vivian's face went pale. So it really was Steven's wife. No wonder they were chatting on the phone this afternoon!

"Looks like he's got a pretty good relationship with his wife," Andrew said with a smirk, trying to needle Vivian.

He wanted to rile Vivian up, pushing her to go after Steven's beloved wife!

Vivian, being who she was, would never stand for her dignity being trampled like this. She'd been spoiled and admired since she was a kid, and now her fiancé had chosen to marry some ordinary woman over her. If this got out, she'd be the laughingstock of the whole city!

Three years ago, Steven returned from abroad and quickly became the Doyle family's favorite successor. Meanwhile, Andrew, who had been the York family's golden child, found himself sidelined. Andrew hated this, so he loved stirring up trouble for Steven. The worse things were for Steven, the happier Andrew felt.

After a moment of silence, Vivian smiled at Andrew and said, "Andrew, how about we play a game?"

"I'm listening," Andrew said, his rebellious streak always ready to clash with Steven.

Their families had been close for generations, with various business dealings. Vivian had known Andrew since they were kids. She smiled and said, "How about I deal with Steven, and you handle the woman by his side?"

Andrew glanced at Nora's profile. Her skin was flawless and radiant. She was quite beautiful.

Vivian added, "That woman is pretty attractive. You like beautiful women, don't you? Why not go after her?"

"Sure, I haven't had this much fun in a while," Andrew replied, his smile both wicked and charming.

Nora returned to the private room after parting ways with Steven. He had said he had business to attend to and couldn't leave, telling her to head home early.

Back in the room, Nora felt great, her lips curling up in a smile. Steven had sent someone to rescue her and even taught Bianca a lesson.

"Let me tell you something funny," Amelia whispered to Nora. "I heard Bianca was chased to the bathroom and got a bucket of dog blood dumped on her. She's been crying in there, calling Philip for help!"

So Philip went to rescue Bianca.

Nora couldn't help but laugh at the thought. Bianca's brand-new designer dress was ruined by a bucket of dog blood! And it was Steven who ordered the bodyguard to do it. Who knew Steven could be so cunning? Being a supervisor had its perks, like ordering the boss's bodyguards to do such things!

Bianca was probably going to cry herself into a fit tonight! Indeed, she had a bucket of dog blood dumped on her, ruining her beautiful dress and carefully applied makeup! She didn't even get to impress Philip before it was all ruined!

Bianca cried uncontrollably, and Philip had to take her home. Once home, Bianca continued to sob. She was furious, cursing Nora to her mother, Eleanor, "That witch, she's trying to steal Philip! She's just jealous that I can marry into a wealthy family..."

Eleanor's face darkened. "Is she really trying to take Philip from you?"

That wretch, how dare she compete with her daughter?

Eleanor stormed into Olivia's room, interrupting her prenatal music session. "Olivia, make me a late-night snack," she demanded.

Olivia looked confused. "Don't we have servants for that? Why can't they do it?"

"The servants are off tonight!" Eleanor snapped. "You do it, now!"

If Nora dared to steal Bianca's man, Eleanor would make Olivia suffer for it!

Meanwhile...

Nora and Amelia left the club. They hadn't found the financial breakthrough they were hoping for and were leaving empty-handed. Amelia waved goodbye to Nora and hopped into a cab.

Nora decided to walk to the subway station. It was only ten o'clock, and the subway was still running.

She opened her phone's navigation app.

Steven stood at the club entrance, watching her from a distance.

"Steven," a pleasant voice called from behind him.

Steven turned around.

Vivian approached with an air of elegance, her long hair flowing and her demeanor graceful. "What a coincidence, you're here for business too?"

Her parents had said Steven was destined to be the head of the York family. If she could secure Steven, she would become the most esteemed woman in South City!

Steven's face was devoid of any smile. "Yeah, I'm leaving now."

"Steven!" Vivian called out, a hint of urgency in her voice. "Aren't you going to take me home? It's late, and it's not safe for a girl to go home alone."

Steven replied coldly, "Don't you have a driver and bodyguard with you?"

With that, he stepped down the stairs, got into his Maserati, and drove off.

Vivian squinted, her face showing a trace of anger.

She had lowered herself to give him a chance, but he still didn't want it. Like a stone in a latrine, both smelly and hard!

A Maserati slowly passed by.

Nora thought it looked familiar.

This car, she often saw it parked near Riverside Apartments.

Steven sat in the back seat.

"Stop."

He suddenly remembered Vivian's words about it being unsafe for a girl to go home alone at this hour.

He said to James, "Pick up Mrs. York."

"But Mr. York, we're in a Maserati!" James replied smartly. "If we stop to pick up Mrs. York, she'll recognize it!"

Steven thought about it and agreed, deciding against it.

He had the car follow Nora slowly, escorting her to the subway station.

Nora followed her phone's navigation, feeling like a car was trailing her.

She frowned slightly and stopped walking.

The luxury car stopped as well.

Nora was sure now. This car was following her. Who knew what kind of creep was inside?

She bolted, running wildly into the subway station.

Steven was stunned. What was she doing?

Just then, he received a voice message on his phone.

"Steven, I just left the club, and some creep in a car was following me. It was so scary," Nora said as soon as she entered the subway station.

Steven read the message and frowned.

A creep? Him?

Another message from Nora followed, "Steven, the guy was driving a luxury car. Do you think rich people are just messed up in the head? Why follow me?"

Steven couldn't help but smile at this, his lips curling up.

Nora continued with another voice message, "Steven, I'm at the subway station now. It's only four stops to home, so it'll take about ten minutes. If you don't hear from me in ten minutes or I don't get home, you have to call the police and find me!"

She was giving him a status update.
