Miya walked in gingerly, glanced around, and noticed that the deco was very different from Xenon's. Xenon much preferred dark colors while Chris was the opposite.
"Chris, I have to go. Thanks for accommodating me last night. I am so grateful you let me stay here," Miya said politely.
No problem. I will let the driver know." Chris smiled.
Miya nodded and said goodbye. As expected, they covered her eyes again and put the same music on in the car. The driver dropped her off at the same spot, outside the French Café.
She turned around to check the plate number after getting out of the car, but only to see that it had been covered. Such a mysterious person! Miya thought and hurried to the company.

It was around eleven o'clock when Miya got to the office. She noticed that people were looking at her in a strange way which made her feel guilty. She had not been to the office for a while. Surely people were jealous of her and were judging her, thinking that she didn't have to work anymore because she was Mrs. Uba.
Just as she sat down by her desk, she received a brief message from Xenon. "Come over."
Miya hurried to Xenon's office. She walked in only to see the pretty young girl she saw yesterday sitting on Xenon's desk, offering him gr.a.p.es intimately.
Xenon kept his eyes fixed upon his laptop, typing, and casually accepted the girl's intimate offer.
Picky as him, he would not even accept others to cook for him except me. He refuses to stay in any other hotel except his own. And in his own room! He never allows any other women into his office, let alone being so intimate. Miya thought.
Though feeling hurt, Miya went over with a smile. "What can I do for you, Xenon? Is there something urgent you want me to handle?" She looked at his perfect-looking face and waited for an answer.
Xenon didn't even take a look at her. Tentatively, Miya explained, "I went for a drink in a small café in the neighborhood last night, and it started pouring down when I was leaving. A friend happened to pass by and offered me a lift and accommodation, though I did intend to stay in a hotel."
Xenon acted as if he didn't hear her. He kept his eyes on his laptop still.
The young girl put another grape into Xenon's mouth, then turned around to speak to Miya. She looked at Miya with disdain, though her voice was sweet. "I'm starving. Xenon said, you are a good cook. " Why don't you cook us lunch?"
Miya knitted her brows, annoyed by the girl's demand and disdainful look. "I work for Xenon, not for you." She replied coldly.
The girl pouted her lips, grabbed Xenon's arm, and said pitifully, "Xenon, I'm starving."
Xenon took her hand off him and said to Miya indifferently, "Miya, get lunch ready in forty minutes. Make something that Lucia likes."
Miya rolled her eyes, and reluctantly, she looked at Lucia and asked, "What do you fancy, Lucia?"
"You can cook whatever I say?"
  "I will try."
Lucia ordered a full course of various cuisines, none of which was anything easy and quick to prepare. Miya simply nodded. "What about you, Xenon?"
"Sandwich. The usual." Xenon said. He still wouldn't look at Miya.
Miya could hear Lucia talking cheerfully and Xenon offering a brief response now and then. Why should I also cook for the girl?! She thought angrily. She wanted to curse and smash the pots and plates a few times, but then she thought about her mother and reminded herself that she was, after all, just his possession.
Why do I feel angry? It doesn't do me any good. Why should I care who he's seeing, who he's good too, or how many women he wants?! It's just a deal between him and me. No, I won't cry. I can't cry! No, I don't feel upset! However, the more she thought about it, the more upset she felt, and soon tears filled her eyes.
About forty minutes later, Miya brought the food out and put it on the table. "It's ready." She said. "Is there anything else? If not, I shall leave you two alone." She tried to sound as calm as she could.
Lucia tried the food and said ungratefully, "It's not as good as I expected. I believe if I learn, I can make something better."
"Well, you should learn and cook for Xenon then. Can I leave now?"
"Hey, don't speak to me in that tone. I'm only making honest comments as an employer to their employees."
Miya clenched her fist, trying to restrain her anger. "Excuse me, my name is Miya, not Hey; also, I'm not your employee. I'm Xenon's legal wife. He's the one that pays me. My boss hasn't complained. Who are you to complain?" Miya said.
"You, you are..." Lucia jumped off the desk and stomped her feet angrily.
Miya went on. "Didn't you say you can cook better than me? I bet you don't even know how to use the stove. Why don't you cook dinner tonight for Xenon then and see what he says? I don't mind if you take my job. I don't want to ever cook for you again anyway."
"You, you are so rude!" Lucia stomped her feet again and turned to Xenon for help. "Xenon, how can she speak to me like that?" She said tearfully.
Finally, Xenon took his eyes off the screen and looked at Miya. All of a sudden, he stood up and kicked the desk over, the plates smashing onto the floor.
Both Miya and Lucia exclaimed and stared at Xenon In shock. Then Lucia went over and held onto Xenon's arm, looking pitiful and scared. Xenon took her hand off him and glared at Miya.
Miya had never seen Xenon so angry. Her heart was racing, terrified. She bit her lips, bent down, and started picking the pieces up quietly. A sharp piece cut her finger, but she didn't say a word.
