Alpha Draven POV

My eyes returned to it's normal color as I sucked in a a breath of cold air, Ryker fumed angrily as he hurriedly walked down the stairs, with the two elites guards behind him.

"What did he do to you? Why..."

"Baby..." My words were interrupted by his harsh gaze, the tears threatening to spill from his eyes shut me up. I chuckled internally, a powerful Lycan like me has been reduced to such state, of fearing a crazy outburst from his mate.

Ryker rushed to Elias side and hugged him tightly, crying desperately as he blamed himself, I clutched my hands angrily, unable to see the scene, I signalled at Killian but he merely struggled his shoulders but didn't do anything to stop them.

After a while of crying and hugging together, Ryker let go of Elias and stood in front of me, suddenly a large thud resounded in tbe hall and before I could register what just happened, Ryker was already on his kneels.

"Please stop, just stop already!" He said shakingly as his cute lips vibrated in pure shock and terror.

I immediately crunched to his level, I stretched my hands to his face but he dodged my touch, I could see him struggling to hold back his tears.

"I'm sorry baby, that...I didn't intend to do that to him." I apologized in the most soothing voice I could muster that even my guards and the entire people in tbe room was shocked by.

"I..I want to leave the pack house."

Boom!!

His words dropped a bomb that threatened to bring chaos, I glared at everyone present and they all bowed deeply and attempted to leave but Ryker stood up slowly with his head bowed.

"I need to find my sister, you wouldn't... wuwuwu..you..." Seeing he fear in his eyes, I knew what he was thinking, he...does he think I would kill his sister? Is that the reason he had been avoiding telling me that but instead going behind my back to ask that traitor for help.

I grabbed his trembling shoulders and hugged him tightly, rubbing back and forth his back calmly, my guards were as much shocked, even the pack Doctor, I never showed this side to anyone, not to any of my previous mates or pets.

"Come on, go in now, I have something to take care of, I will come back to you soon." I whispered sweetly to his ears, he nodded and I let go of him.

I turned to the guards, and they bowed out of guilt, I sighed, Ryker already turned back headed to his room when I stopped him.

"Why don't you go with him?" I said looking at the direction of Killian mate, but he seems in disbelief making me growl.

"Take the pack Doctor with you and have him examined properly." I scoffed as Killian suddenly appeared in front of me, his expression unreadable.

"My Lord, I need to treat my mate, we wouldn't want the mark to leave a scar." His words made me sigh internally, how could I let the dark wolf take control of me in this situation.

"Fine, have the pack Doctor treat him and my mate."

Immediately I finished, I walked out the hall, the guards instantly opened one of the car doors. Killian and Theo entered a different car and we drove straight to the mine.

Standing in front of the huge metal gate that covered everywhere, I released my Alpha aura and instantly the gate opened, mist covered the whole place, the workers is probably still at work.

"Alpha.."

"Your highness!"

"My Lord.."

Guards on duty immediately bowed when they saw me, I looked round me huge land space in here, some part, Omegas and slaves were digging and working, women served water and food to the men at work, would his sister be among those women.

"Take me straight to the supervisor office right now!!" I commanded and the guards hurriedly nodded and led the way.

"You good for nothing scumbag!! Is this muscle of yours useless or made solely for Fucking, why can't you do something properly!!"

Even from a distance, I could hear the arrogant taunting voice and curses of the supervisor. The guards leading us felt uncomfortable sneaked back peaks from time to time.

"What are you staring at? Is this the first time meeting his Majesty?" Killian suddenly snapped, finally seeing a scapegoat to let out his anger at.

"No no...of course not..Gamma." the guards hurriedly denied and before long I stood face to face with the supervisor, his hand paused in mid way, I looked to the direction of the hand was going, and was met with the doe like face of a young girl, my heart skipped instantly.

"What do you think you are doing? Did I appoint you here to abuse your power or to supervise the mining?" My voice hitched as the girl startled, I walked up to her slowly under the watch of everyone and knelt to her level.

"What's your name little one?"

She looked around and was even more frightened, trembling she stood up with much effort and with the speed of light, she ran away, leaving me in utter disbelief.

"Tsk...tsk...how dare her move when you his Majesty is asking her a question, such lowly cat do....."
My glare interrupted him and he shut his mouth.

"Look into every record of the female slave Omega brought in to the mine and see if there's any record for Ryker sister."

"Yes my Lord."

I turned to leave but suddenly paused in my tracks, I turned to the terrified supervisor who was shaking in fear and my face darkened.

"Hear me out, he is to be demoted, stripped of any position in the pack and sentenced to two month in the dungeon." I said darkly, if the girl he was abusing really turned out to be Ryker sister, how do I put up with him.

"Take me back to the pack house." I said to tbe driver but was mindlinked by Theo that a small war just broke out between the very crazy rogues and my warriors.

"They are death men? They won't stop until they drop dead." Theo mindlinked with a worried tone.

"Capture at least give alive and take them to the dungeon, I need to get answers." Even though the Prophetess said the Huswolf Clan isn't involved, I need to know who is behind them, the Alpha who is trying to plot treason and ascend to Lycan.

"Take me back to tbe pack house for now."



I stepped into the room to see Ryker all cradled up in bed, the pack Doctor and Elias no where here, his back faced me and his tiny waist made me gulp.

He suddenly turned when he noticed my presence, the way he looked at him seems kinda different, his emotions is more stable now, this is the first time I'm seeing an unfathomable look on his face, he is someone who couldn't even hide his emotions.

"How was the test baby? Are you feeling better?" I asked gently as I took more steps closer to him.

But surprisingly, he ignored me totally and walked into the bathroom, I followed behind him and grabbed his waist, careful not to hurt him and kisses him fiercely, he didn't fight back nor did he respond to the kiss, when I held his cheeks, his eyes was anywhere on my face.

'what happened just now' my wolf whimpered as he asked within me, I held Ryker and pinned him to the wall, he said nothing nor did he do anything, when I let go of him, he moved away and went to the sink, without even saying a word to me.

I grabbed the nearest glass antique cup and scattered it on the floor in frustration, Ryker body trembled small but he didn't let out not even a sound of whimper, unlike him before.

"Why are you ignoring me?" I asked as my eyes slowly started to turn red.
