Chapter 135
Chapter 135
I stared at him as he still had that smirk on his face. So much for a dick head to actually keep smirking like that, but I didn't think he was young?? Was my father older?
"Well l would love to get to know you more Emma." He said with his
teeth showing as he smiled.
"Sorry Boss, but she's too young for you and way out of your league." Levy joked as he chuckled.
"Oh really? How old is this young lady?" He still kept looking at me, studying every inch of my body.
"She's only 20. She's still young for you Boss." He nodded slowly.
"l don't think that's bad. She's old enough to be with someone like me."
He chuckled as I rubbed my arm and looked down on the floor, "would
you care to have a drink with me?"
I was beyond speechless right now. He's my uncle for goodness sakes! Is he literally hitting on his niece, well I mean.. doesn't know that so I guess he's clueless.. I looked at Levi and Owen desperately as they nodded. I sighed and decided to agree.
"Great. Let's go." He said as he wrapped his arm around my shoulder
and lead us to some other place.
I looked back at Levi and Owen as they gave me a good look. They
nodded at me as a sign that they wanted me to at least be strong about. But Owen slowly followed us, in case l'm ever in need of protection, he's there to help.
"Um where are we heading.?" l asked as I looked around, catching
peoples attention.
"We'll be heading into my office for some drinks and some private place to talk. People here are already talking about you so I figured you wouldn't want that?"
"I see.." I said as we walked up the huge stairs and made it to some hallways.
They had some statues in both sides of the wall that we pass along to with paintings that seemed old and some rooms.
But finally, we stopped by this dark red colored door and he opens for thanked him and went inside as I looked to see a huge
me to enter. I thanked
The Alpha's Princess king sized bed, a couch, fireplace, a coffee table near the couch and fireplace, bookshelf, a table filled with papers that's was neatly stacked and a laptop, some pot of plants, and two chairs across his office table.
I heard he closed the door behind me and locked it. I looked behind me to see him just leaning towards the door, arms crossed and a smirk on his face
"Um this is your office.?" I questioned feeling uncomfortable as he
nodded.
"Yeah, my room is where I do work, My actual office is downstairs hut it's occupied since there's some pool table and a bar there. Important papers stays up here.!" He stopped leaning against the door as he walked towards me.
With every steps he took, I began to step back.. I tried reading his mind, but it was no use. I wasn't sure why, but it's not working.. Or maybe it's just not working with him?
"So are you a hunter?" He questioned as he kept walking towards me.
After to hit his office table
"Um 1-I suppose." I stuttered.
"Why can't I read his mind?' thought with frustration.
"Really? Are you good at hunting?" He said as he was finally close to me, but I still pressed myself towards his table to keep a little bit more distance between us.
"It is?" He whispered in my ear as his lips gently brushes across my cheeks.
I felt his hands going close to my butt that I began to grab his wrist and the back of his neck, rotating his arm behind his back and myself to the side, pinning him down swiftly.
I pressed down hard, hearing him grunt, "good job. You're practically a good hunter with those kind of skills." He chuckled as l let go, backing up.
"Pardon me?" l asked raising an eyebrow as he stood up, stretching his arm
"Testing you. You did well, I just wanted to see if you'll do something about it and you did. Maybe too much, my shoulder sort of hurts." He grunted again as he rotated his arms.
"Oh.. -I see." I said playing innocent as he smiled and grabbed us some wine and two glass
"You drink?" He questioned as he poured his wine and I nodded.
'Be strong.' I told myself.
He poured the other empty glass, filling it up before handing it to me. I politely took it and smelled it first, it didn't seem harmless? I took a sip to find out it still wasn't. That was good to know.
"So Emma, tell me about yourself?" He asked as he guided us to his
couch.
We sat down while I still haven't said a word. He looked at me strangely and nodded his head, "l guess you are really shy?"
I looked down at my wine while he sighed, "let's start with this.. Do you?have any family? Favorite color? Food? What are your hobbies?"
I still kept staring at my wine and answered, "no, I don't have blood?related family, but yes I do have friends who treats me like l'm part of the family, red, I eat anything, and reading."
"That's something? I'm glad you have friends who's like a family. Your, likings are one of a kind and not complicated. I have a bookshelf filled with any kinds of books. Even old ones, feel free to grab any whenever you visit" He chuckled
I looked up at him and nodded, but I then decided to ask a question,
"I'm not like the rest. But I wanna ask the same thing."
"Same thing?"
"Yes. Same questions you've asked except, it's you who answers this
time.."
He paused for a minute, but decided to speak anyways. "Yes, I have a family. One, but I'm still finding the child.. Turquoise and I also eat anything. My hobby is obvious. Hunting?" He chuckled.
I furrowed
"I'm sorry, a child.?"
"Yeah. Well l'm not sure anymore.. l know for a fact the child is growing Maybe teenage years?"
"Did you. Um lose the child.?"
"Not me. My older brother was some place else when his wife gave birth to the child. I wasn't aware with the situations because I was with my grandma. l found out later no more than a year that all of them died except for that child. I always hoped the kid was still alive and well"
I looked at his expression as he saddens, "you don't know the child, but you seem awfully affected by it?"
"It's a child. The last of my family, I'm desperate to have a family member who's my blood to be beside me. I'm the only one standing and so is that child. Being reunited together might just make me happy. I'd even grant my brothers wish."
"What wish is that?" He chuckled taking a sip of his wine as he looked at me straight into my eyes. We had the same eye color.
"He's always told me that if he ever had a child, he'd leave the hunter life for the child to live it peacefully. To take the child away from the curse and have normal one while it's still early. It's not too late if that child is still a teen.. There's still a chance for that child to live in peace."
I stayed silent as I drank down my wine, not leaving any drops behind It's hard to believe him because i know nothing about this man. I can't even read his thoughts for me to know the truth.. I'm probably becoming weak for now.
"You know, it's hard to keep that child's life to remain peaceful. If it's fate you're against with, you'd probably lose." I spoke truthfully knowing my situation. I knew too much to have a normal life, but I feared that if I did live normally. My fate will still come, like how my parents disliked me becoming a hunter or a werewolf and yet l'm both and still living that life. I can't live normally now. I've already accepted my fate.
"How so?" He questioned, raising an eyebrow at me.
"Wel.. Let's say that the child did end up living a normal life with you. But the more normal that child's life gets, the more fate gets closer to him or her. That child's fate will come around once that child knows the truth. That child will find out sooner or later about who he or she truly. That'll hurt the child knowing the peaceful life the child lived was a lie. You cant stop that and that'll cloud up that child's mind preventing him or her to think straight. That might as well lead him or her to something crazy or even death.
He looked at me quite amused, "wise words. I could really use a sharp huntress like you. I've heard something's about you from Levi, but I haven't officially met you?"
I smiled and nodded as he took another sip of his wine. I began to think that led me to ask further questions.
"Do you think that child will believe you??" l asked and truthfully, at this moment l really just wanna hear his response to everything I question
"Perhaps, but I know the child will have a hard time believing and
understanding." He sighed as he chugged down his wine to a complete
finish and poured another glass in.
I held his hand and some whispers began to come through. I guess I was just weak? Why was I weak.?
But the surprising part about this was that he meant it all. No lies were being told, but I can't even seem to trust my own ability. Is this man deceiving me?
"It's fine dear. I don't need pity from anyone. I just wish that when I see that child, hopefully that child could believe me." He sighed as I felt my heart ache.."l'm growing soft. Why? I don't like how much l'm changing into someone different.. Or is this how l actually am?" l gave a sigh as well as we both sat in silent, 'maybe I'm still just to blind to see who I actually
am?'
"You okay? Did I upset you?" He asked worriedly as he held my hand
tighter. My attention looked down to our hands and then up to his eyes, pulling away from his grip.
"Oh um no sorry. I think the wine probably got to me heh..
"No more wine for you then." He chuckled as he took my glass, setting it down on the coffee table.
"Um hah." I laughed as my head began to hurt and my vision started to run out.
"It seems like you've also lost your way of words." He chuckled as I held my head as it felt like it's pounding right out of my skul.
"What was on that wine??" I asked in pain as it kept pounding harder that made me yell.
I fell on the ground, curled up like a ball while I kept holding my head, gripping onto my hair. I looked up at him as he leaned back on the couch, drinking his own wine with a smirk right on his face.
'Does he know. ?' I thought.
He kept staring into my brown eyes until he smirked. He took off his mask and with the amount of vision I had left, it was still a bit clear for me to see when I focus on it, but when I don't it blurs out.
But as soon as he drops his mask on the floor, I looked at his face.
'D-dad.?
