"Kristina! Sweetie what's wrong?!" Her mom shook her shoulders back and forth. Kristina was wearing a towel-dress now, and couldn't get herself to open her mouth; her face was very pale and her heart was thumping loud and hard like a stereo. She was still petrified from the shock. Kristina knew that she couldn't tell her mom about the boy who entered the bathroom just now, he may had been the long awaited guest and just lost his way across the room. "A-A spider!!!" She yelled. There wasn't really a spider, she just used that as an excuse. "WHAT?! WHERE?!" Her mother jumped at the toilet bowl, hugging her legs. "It's gone!" Kristina said. "JACOB! HELP! THERE'S A PERVERTED SPIDER ON THE LOOSE!" Meanwhile back at the living room... "Daniel! Where are you boy?" Jonathan opened the back door. "Right here pops," Daniel said from behind with doe-like eyes. "Where have you been?" "Nowhere." He tried to avoid his father's eyes. Jonathan sighed in relief and sat on the living room couch. "Good. You had me worried back there." "Johnny?! Is that you?!!" Jacob hang his coat on the rack and entered the room. "Welcome back old friend!" "Jake!" he stood up and shook hands with him. "It's good to be back." As Daniel's father got distracted again, he went outside and breathed. "Who the hell was that girl?" he mumbled under his breath. He smelled the fragrance of the newly blossomed flowers at the garden. At that moment, he remembered his childhood days. He remembered how he always used to run and play around at that same garden, together with his playmate. *~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ In Kristina's room... "Mom! What is this?!" Kristina took the hangered dress from the closet. "There's no way I'm wearing this thing! And come down from the toilet! There's no spider anymore." Her mom looked left and right, then dashed into her daughter's room and bounced on her bed. "Aaaw but that dress is so cute." Now this was an unusual mom. Lizzy was very childish. She was still a romantic teenager at heart, and she wanted Kristina to be one too. Sadly, her daughter decided to be more mature than her mother. "It's not cute. It's too short," she complained. "I'm not wearing this." She threw the dress on the bed and grabbed her sweat pants. "No! You HAVE to wear this!" Her mom begged. "Please? Just this once? I went through a lot of trouble just to get this for you..." she acted all disappointed and teary eyed. Kristina groaned and took the dress from her mother's hands. "Alright fine! I'll wear this stupid dress." "Yey! Hurry, I'll fix your hair," Lizzy smiled. *~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ After they were done, they went downstairs and headed for the dining room. "Jacob! Sweetie come here!" Jacob entered the room and his jaw literally dropped. "Kristina?!" He exclaimed. "Is that you?!" "No, no. I am called Linda, ruler of the underworld. I have taken over your daughter's body." She said in a sarcastic tone. Her dad laughed and hugged her. "How are you able to say that with a straight face? Just kidding, you look beautiful hon." "Now that we're ready, where's the food?" Elizabeth asked. Jacob quickly opened the paper bag he brought home and prepared the Chinese food on the table. "Done," he said. "Seriously?" Kristina said. "You ordered take-outs?" "Never mind that," Elizabeth rolled her eyes. "Johnny! Daniel! Food's ready! Hurry hurry!" "Wait what did you say?!" Kristina looked surprised. "Uncle John and Daniel are here?!" Her mom smiled sheepishly. When their guests entered the room, Daniel and Kristina made eye contact immediately. "You!" Kristina said. "Happy to see each other again?" Jonathan grinned. He patted his son's back and Daniel replied, "Yeah. Ecstatic." The whole family and the guests were all seated on the dinner table. Kristina sat infront of Daniel. "Kristina, you've grown into such a fine young lady now. You look so pretty," Jonathan said as he started munching on the chicken. "Yeah. Um... Thanks, Uncle John." "You still remember my son don't you? Daniel, talk to her!" Daniel looked at Kristina and then turned away. Kristina's eyes widened and she blushed like crazy. The first boy to ever see her naked was sitting infront of her. Oh joy. "I'm sorry, I don't know him," she lied. There was a slight pause in the room and the adults exchanged glances. "Well... You both used to play a lot in this house when you were kids. You have to remember something. Anything," Lizzy gave Kristina a warning look. "Don't force her if she doesn't remember Aunt Lizzy," Daniel said. "She's probably forgotten about me now." "There you go, thank you very much," Kristina said in a rather angry tone. The atmosphere was getting heavier by the second. Daniel didn't touch his food. He stood up and excused himself from the table. "Where are you going? You're not hungry?" Jacob asked. "Nope. Maybe I'll step outside for a bit, I kinda feel uncomfortable here," he looked at Kristina. Finally fed up, Kristina also stood up and slammed both her hands at the table, causing the glasses to shake. "YOU UNCOMFORTABLE?! HOW DO YOU THINK I FEEL?!" She yelled. "Look I didn't mean it okay? It was an accident." Daniel said in a calm tone. "If there were these many ACCIDENTS happening in the world, then we wouldn't need the police!" "I said I'm sorry, OKAY?! I wasn't happy about it you know!" "What kind of a guy are you if you don't feel happy when you just saw a lady's naked body?!" Jacob, Jonathan and Elizabeth stood up. "WHAT?!" They all yelled in unison. "He walked in on me!" Kristina was practically screaming at the top of her lungs. She couldn't accept the fact that somebody actually saw her naked. She was the conservative type. "I did not!" Daniel protested. "Wait wait wait. Let me get this straight. That was the reason why you screamed earlier? You said it was a spider! A perverted spider!" Elizabeth said. "Y-Y-You saw my daughter naked?" Jacob added. "A little bit," he replied. Lizzy clapped her hands and shrieked. "This is great! Now we'll have no problems!" "Huh?" Kristina looked stirred. "This may not be the best time to tell them this..." Jacob said. "Um... Let me handle this. Daniel, son. Remember back then when I told you that we will return here because I had an agreement with Kristina's parents?" Jonathan forced a smile. "Yeah, so what?" Daniel looked disinterested. "Well..." Jonathan couldn't say it. Lizzy jumped at the middle with a grin so wide, it almost reached up to her pinkish ears. "You two will be engaged! How nice right?!" She looked so happy. Daniel and Kristina looked at each other with their eyes popping out of their sockets. Jacob was wiping the sweat quickly dripping from his face while Johnny was blinking rather fast. "Oh, and Daniel!" Lizzy added. "I really want three grandkids! Two girls and a boy you got that?" Kristina's mom said without embarassment. "P-Please be gentle..." Jacob said. "WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT?!" Daniel and Kristina yelled.
