Chapter 8 You're Already Addicted to Me
Valerie wanted to explain to Ethan, to prove her innocence, but she had already lost the chance, her reputation tarnished in front of everyone.
Outside the banquet hall, Ethan's car parked quietly at the door, he didn't rush to leave, seemingly waiting for something.
Not long after, the figure of Ava quietly appeared, she was like a graceful little cat, elegantly slipping into the car.
Straddling Ethan's lap, she hooked her arms around his neck. "Well, Daddy, are you satisfied with the gift I prepared for you?"
Ethan leaned against the back of his seat, his black eyes chilling.
"I didn't expect you to have the ability to dig up Valerie's private life from top to bottom." He indeed felt that he had underestimated this woman.
It wasn't Ava’s doing, it was Olivia, her good friend who provided it. But she couldn't let Ethan know, otherwise, her friend Olivia would be in trouble.
"I saved you. Otherwise, you would have ended up with a mess. Tell me, how do you want to thank me?" she reminded him.
She raised her eyebrows, her eyes filled with mischief, her face exuding an air of conquest that made men want to conquer her even more.
"So this is what you want all along." Ethan's large hand landed heavily on her pert buttocks, pulling her closer to him, their bodies pressing intimately against each other.
"Mr. Davis, it's not as enjoyable through the fabric." As she spoke, she suddenly thrust her hips forward, causing his pupils to shrink, and then he pushed her away and threw her back into the passenger seat.
He thought, ‘Damn it, after I get a bit close to her, I start feeling horny. I have been without desires for years. How is it possible that I am falling for this woman?’
Closing his eyes, he took a deep breath, the scent of her surrounding him, the impulse running wild in his veins, almost losing control again.
He asked, "What perfume are you using?"
Ava's heart skipped a beat, but she maintained her composure. This perfume was specially concocted by her, mixed with her own scent, making it impossible for him to detect.
She said, "Princess No.7." This was the latest perfume on the market. It was quite expensive and favored by many women.
He had indeed smelled it before, confirming that he was only interested in this woman.
"So, what do you want?" Ethan asked casually as if he had already guessed the answer.
"Help me take back the Smith Group." Ava's voice was filled with coldness, intense hatred emanating from her.
He turned his head, only seeing her smirk, a smile that was both cunning and charming as if the moment just now was just an illusion.
She added, "I know this is just a piece of cake for Mr. Davis, but it's crucial for me."
By now, the sky had darkened, the red light of the setting sun shining on her face through the car window, her bright eyes and lips even more dazzling than the evening glow.
However, Ethan's expression suddenly turned cloudy.
He thought, ‘This woman had approached me deliberately from the beginning, right? Is her goal to make me help her regain her family's fortune? What a cunning and deceitful woman.’
A faint smile escaped from Ethan's lips, but it was soon replaced by indifference.
He asked, "What makes you think I would help you?"
"Because..." She leaned in close, wrapping her arms around his neck, her voice warm as she breathed into Ethan's ear, her fragrance enveloping him, "You're addicted to me."
Ava suddenly pushed him away, opened the door, and got out of the car. Before leaving, she leaned down to send him a message. "Mr. Davis, I believe it won't be long before you come looking for me. Let's talk when we meet again."
Her eyes intentionally glanced between his legs, then she closed the door with a bang.
Soon, the sound of a motorcycle engine revving up filled the air. She was wearing a black tight-fitting motorcycle suit, like a cunning wild cat straddling it, waving to him through the window before zooming into the twilight.
Ethan's Adam's apple bobbed as he watched her disappearing figure.
He had been played, and he had willingly fallen for it.
But little did he know how much effort Ava had put into this scheme. She had spent half a year developing this unique perfume, which, when combined with her own scent, not only created a physiological dependence on Ethan but also a psychological one.
She was confident.
Night quickly fell, the streetlights on the bay shining brightly, illuminating the sea like daylight.
Ava threw the surfboard with force, her agile figure leaping forward, riding the waves like a beast seizing its prey.
The tide was unbelievably fierce. A few surfers were splashed into the sea and had to swim back to shore pitifully.
Ava’s graceful curves and slender surfboard merged into one, rising and falling with the waves, drawing screams from the shore.
