I reached a consensus with Howard. To please him, I made an extra effort at night.
I made sure Howard was comfortable and he was very pleased.
Early the next morning, Howard took me to the company.
Malcolm was handling things in his office. Hearing the commotion, he stood up.
"Mr. Wilson, Mrs. Wilson."
Howard nodded and then instructed.
"Malcolm, take Kathie to the legal department and pick a lawyer."
Malcolm was a bit puzzled but still took me there.
In the elevator, Malcolm spoke first.
"What does Mrs. Wilson need a lawyer for? Surely, you’re not planning to divorce our Mr. Wilson!"
Although he said this with a smile, I still felt uncomfortable.
"Your Mr. Wilson is wealthy and handsome, how could I bear to leave him."
During our conversation, we arrived at the legal department.
Sienna was not there, and there were only a few people in the legal department.
I glanced at their faces but didn't see anyone I particularly liked.
Seeing that I hadn't made a decision, Malcolm leaned down and whispered in my ear.
"Mrs. Wilson, choose the one in the corner, his name is Xavier Phillips, and he doesn't get along with Sienna."
I was surprised, I didn't expect there to be someone who didn't get along with Sienna.
Seeing my confusion, Malcolm kindly explained.
"Before Sienna came back, Xavier was always the chief legal officer of Elegance Fashion Design Company, but after Sienna arrived, his status plummeted. What kind of impression do you think he has of Sienna?"
I raised an eyebrow. Although I didn't know why Malcolm was helping me, it didn't matter. After all, they were all lawyers of Elegance Fashion Design Company, they wouldn't deceive me.
I walked over to Xavier and gave him a friendly smile.
"Xavier, would you mind coming with me?"
Xavier was a bit surprised when he saw me, but then he understood and followed me out of the company.
After getting in the car, Xavier asked me.
"Mrs. Wilson, where are we going?"
"StarBoost Media."
Xavier paused, somewhat incredulous.
"Is it the StarBoost Media I’m thinking of?"
I nodded.
"You're right, we're going there today to redeem someone."
Xavier hesitated.
"Mrs. Wilson, it's not that I'm backing down, but going up against StarBoost Media is not a wise choice. Over the years, they have always operated in a controversial area and have much more information than we do."
I glanced at Xavier indifferently.
"I only need one person, not touching their interests. Could it be, Xavier, that you think you can't get the person?"
I said, showing disdain.
"If I had known you were so timid, Xavier, I should have gone to Sienna."
Sure enough, all the concerns on Xavier's face disappeared, replaced by enthusiasm.
"Mrs. Wilson, leave it to me. There's no one I, Xavier, can't get!"
I subtly curled my lips. He really is a straightforward person!
We arrived at StarBoost Media, and after explaining our purpose to the receptionist, they quickly ran inside.
Soon, Terry came out.
As soon as he saw me, Terry's face was full of smiles.
"Mrs. Wilson, what brings you here! Please come in!"
We followed Terry to his office.
As soon as we sat down, Terry enthusiastically served me tea.
"Mrs. Wilson's visit really brings light to my humble abode."
I reached out and pushed the teacup forward, looking at Terry seriously.
