Chapter 132

Chapter 132

Scarlett never expected that Ella had become so capable.

She actually bribed the media to publicize her affairs, turning her into a rat everyone wanted to beat, someone despised by all.

Now she didn't even dare go out on the streets, only able to hide in this place, barely surviving.

Thinking that Mason was her only hope for salvation, even after being pushed away, Scarlett still desperately tried to get close to Mason, "Mason, everything was arranged by Ella. She's trying to harm me. Can you please get PR to take down all those news stories about me?"

Mason still avoided her, feeling angry inside, "Weren't you the one who insisted on leaving me and running off to the nightclub? How could Ella have arranged for you to go to the nightclub?"

This Scarlett was truly beyond help.

Even now she was still blaming Ella.

If she would just admit her mistake and beg for his forgiveness, he might still take her away and let bygones be bygones.

But the next second, Mason heard Scarlett's excuse again, "Why can't I blame Ella? She posted my video online and got the media to publicize that I worked with human traffickers to kidnap her. I never did that."

If Ella hadn't done that, she would have made quite a bit of money at the nightclub.

But now she had nothing, couldn't even find a place to stay. Who else could she blame but Ella?

Without Ella, she would have already married Joshua and become someone everyone respected.

Scarlett hated Ella to the core.

If she got another chance, she would make sure Ella was completely destroyed.

"If you hadn't gone to the nightclub and messed around with those men, Ella wouldn't have had any video to post online."

Mason really felt he couldn't talk to Scarlett anymore. He angrily threw out these words, "Since you still can't realize your own mistakes, you can stay here and reflect on yourself."

Mason turned and slammed the door as he left, walking away decisively.

Scarlett didn't try to stop him. She raised her hand to wipe the tears from her face, gritting her teeth viciously.

She wouldn't let Ella off.

She would make Ella pay a heavy price.

Two more days passed.

Seeing that the news about Scarlett was gradually cooling down, Ella continued to fan the flames.

She wouldn't let it go until she pushed Scarlett to the edge.

Because of this, Scarlett hadn't dared to see anyone for several days.

She didn't even dare stay in hotels.

Disguising herself, she hid alone in the suburbs at some family's place where people didn't go online.

Ella easily found where she was hiding and drove there herself the next day.

When she arrived, she saw Scarlett being bullied.

A middle-aged man in his thirties or forties was pressing her against the courtyard wall, molesting her.

Ella stood at the courtyard gate and called out, "Stop, the police are coming."

Hearing the voice, the man immediately let go of the disheveled Scarlett.

He turned to Ella fiercely, "Who are you? Mind your own business."

Ella held up her phone, fearless, "I've already called the police. If you don't run now, it'll be too late."

The man believed her and immediately picked up his clothes from the ground and rushed out.

Looking at Scarlett trembling and curled up against the wall, Ella approached her, looking down from above, "You probably never thought you'd have a day like this!"

Actually, Scarlett's luck had been good, but her heart was too greedy, and her desires destroyed her.

Otherwise, having grown up in the Lewis family with Mason liking her, becoming the Lewis family's daughter-in-law would have given her endless wealth and honor for life.

But she didn't value Mason, and even when desperate, she wouldn't admit her mistakes and make peace with him.

This kind of woman deserved to end up like this.

Scarlett slowly lifted her head.

Seeing that only Ella had come, and thinking that she had fallen to this state all because of Ella, her expression became twisted, her teeth clenched, "Ella, you and I are sworn enemies."

With that, Scarlett got up and lunged at Ella.

Ella frowned. When Scarlett lunged at her, she raised her hand and slapped her hard across the face.

This made Scarlett even more furious. As she tried to fight again, Ella sprayed pepper spray in her face.

Scarlett retreated in pain, unable to open her eyes, crying out in agony.

Watching her like that, Ella didn't feel particularly satisfied.

She asked Scarlett, "When you sent people to kidnap Aurora and caused my grandfather's death, you probably didn't think you'd end up like this, did you?"

Actually, these past two days Mason couldn't let go of Scarlett. He not only pleaded with Heath and Rhea, but also with her, wanting to take Scarlett to his villa.

She had agreed, but deliberately had Dorian keep Mason busy.

That's why Mason hadn't had time to take care of Scarlett.

Scarlett's eyes hurt so much she couldn't open them. Unable to see anything, she panicked and lost her rationality, shouting at Ella, "Your daughter and you both deserve to die, and that old bastard too. If it weren't for him blocking me, I would have married Joshua four years ago."

"They all deserve to die. Ella, you deserve to die too. I should have had them tear you apart back then."

Scarlett was afraid of going blind and not being able to do anything in the future.

So she desperately tried to open her eyes.

Ella quickly pressed her, "You finally admit that Aurora's kidnapping was your doing, and that you caused my grandfather's death."

Scarlett laughed loudly, "So what if I did? You probably still don't know who your child's father is!"

"Ella, you're a shameless woman who gave birth to a child without even knowing who the father is."

She really hated Ella to the extreme, but couldn't do anything to her, so she could only attack her with words.

Ella got Scarlett's admission. For a moment, she really wanted to finish her off right there and avenge Aiden and Aurora.

But thinking of Dorian, and how her own life was finally getting better, she couldn't let Scarlett ruin her.

Moving closer to Scarlett, Ella sneered and said, "Who says I don't know who my child's father is? You don't know this, but after Joshua found out the child is his, he's been pursuing me like crazy."

Having already gotten the video of Scarlett admitting to murder, Ella didn't want to waste more time with her.

She was afraid of losing her rationality and killing her with her own hands.

After saying this, she left the courtyard without looking back.

Left behind, Scarlett collapsed to the ground. Unable to see anything, her mind went blank.

What did Ella just say? She knew the child was Joshua's?

Joshua also knew the child was his?

So the three of them were going to reconcile and live happily together?

Scarlett couldn't accept that while she had become like this, Ella was taking the child to enjoy the Lewis family's love and getting back together with Joshua.

She refused to accept it. She quickly got up and fumbled around looking for water to wash her eyes.

After Ella left, she went straight to the police station and handed over the video of Scarlett admitting to kidnapping and murder.

Although her method of forcing the confession wasn't proper, the police didn't pursue it and were willing to reopen the investigation.

When the police went to arrest Scarlett, she was no longer at the original location.

Ella returned to the Lewis Villa.

As soon as she entered, Mason came up to her and asked, "Ella, you see, these past few days I've agreed to stay home with Dorian, teaching him to read and write. Can I go pick up Scarlett now?"

Ella's face showed no expression. She glanced around the house and, not seeing Dorian, asked, "Where's Dorian?"

Mason said, "Mom took him out."

Ella didn't mind and went to sit on the living room sofa for a drink of water.

Mason followed and continued to persuade earnestly, "I know you have a bias against Scarlett, but she's lived in this house for over twenty years after all. She grew up pampered. With such big things happening these past few days, she can't handle it."

No matter how bad Scarlett was, he still wanted to give her another chance.

He always felt that after suffering once, she would change for the better.

Ella still kept a cold face, staring at Mason with melancholy eyes, "Do you know I had a daughter who died?"

Mason paused and nodded.

He suddenly had an ominous feeling.

Ella continued, "My daughter was kidnapped by Scarlett, and eventually died from her injuries despite efforts to save her."

She asked Mason, "So with a woman like that, you still want to be with her?"

She had told Mason this before.

But Mason didn't believe it.

Even now Mason still didn't believe it and immediately denied it, "Ella, Aurora's death shouldn't have been Scarlett's doing. You reported it to the police before. If it was Scarlett, the police would have found her long ago."

Ella laughed coldly.

Was this really her own brother?

Mason had no place in his heart for her and Dorian.

All he had in his heart was Scarlett!

Ella didn't want to explain so much to him and directly threw out the video she had recorded.

Mason picked up the phone and clicked it.

When he saw Scarlett in the video, painfully covering her eyes and crying out, he didn't hear the dialogue clearly at all and immediately asked Ella anxiously, "Ella, what happened to Scarlett? Where is she? Is her eye injured?"

Ella reminded him, "If you can't catch the point, watch it repeatedly."

She really felt Mason was beyond help too. Not wanting to stay with him another moment, she got up to leave.

Mason watched the video again.

Seeing Scarlett admit to kidnapping Aurora and causing Aiden's death, he quickly got up and followed Ella, defending, "Ella, this can't be true. She must have been in so much pain that she admitted it out of spite. Scarlett is kind-hearted, she wouldn't..."

Ella really couldn't listen anymore. When she turned to face Mason, she raised her hand and slapped him hard.

That slap silenced Mason and froze him.

Ella looked at him with hatred, heartbroken and disappointed, "The evidence is right in front of you, and you're still making excuses for her. Mason, the one who died was your own niece. Why is your head full of nothing but Scarlett?"

Mason lowered his head. The phone in his hand was still playing the conversation between Scarlett and Ella.

It wasn't that he was unwilling to accept that Scarlett had killed someone.

It was just that if he accepted it, he and Scarlett would be impossible for the rest of his life.

In his heart, he still couldn't let go of Scarlett.

Ella didn't hide her purpose anymore and told Mason, "I won't let Scarlett off. I want her to pay with her life for Aurora. If you feel sorry for her and still want to help her, then Mason, you and I are sworn enemies."
