Chapter 227
Chapter 227
At the kindergarten entrance.
Jasper's face was flushed red as he called Clea, "Don't do that again next time."
Before leaving home, Clea had hugged him and bitten him. Was she a dog or something? The mark on his neck had been spotted by Nora.
"What did I do?" Clea didn't miss the chance to tease Jasper over the phone, "I just kissed you a little, and you're already upset? You said you'd make it up to me, that I could do whatever I wanted. I wanted to make love, so why did you say no?"
"You..." Jasper raised his hand to his forehead. He was really going to die at Clea's hands sooner or later.
Die of frustration.
How could she be so shameless?
"Tomorrow night," Clea said leisurely.
"I'm busy tomorrow," Jasper coughed lightly, looking away, very unnaturally staring off into the distance.
"What, are you a king or something? Do you need to pick a lucky day to sleep with your concubine?" Clea was getting angry, "Are you not capable or what?"
Jasper was really afraid he'd have a heart attack at such a young age because of her.
"I'm telling you, not asking you," Clea laughed a couple of times, "I said tomorrow, so it's tomorrow."
"We'll see," Jasper quickly hung up on Clea. This woman was too scary.
After calming down, Jasper looked down at the stones by the roadside.
"Uncle Jasper!"
School was out, and the teacher was bringing the kids out.
Samuel saw Jasper and ran over happily.
Jasper reached out and picked up a the little guy, then suddenly realized something was wrong, because Samuel was still standing by his feet.
So who was he holding?
He quickly looked and froze, "This is?"
"Uncle Jasper, his name is Milo." Jasper quickly put the other child down and said with a smile, "Uncle Jasper got the wrong person."
"Uncle Jasper, he's going to live with us," Samuel said happily, holding Milo's hand.
Milo looked at Jasper and reached out his little hand, "Uncle Jasper, are you mommy's brother?"
Jasper froze for a moment.
"He wants to steal mommy from me, keeps saying she's his mommy," Samuel was already used to Milo's bossy behavior.
Jasper looked at Milo carefully for a long time. For some reason, his heart ached a little.
Back then, Nora did give birth to twins, but because of Nora's poor condition, one child died at birth.
Afraid Nora would be heartbroken, Jasper never dared tell Nora that she had actually given birth to two children.
If that child had lived, he would be about Milo's age now.
"Uncle Jasper, are we going to your house?" Milo said happily.
"Yes." Jasper opened the car door and let the two little guys get in.
"Uncle Jasper, your car is so cool!" Milo had never seen such a beat-up car, yet he thought it was cool.
Samuel pursed his lips and said quietly, "Uncle Jasper, he's a rich kid's son, he's never seen a junky car."
Jasper was helpless, "I bought this car for five thousand dollars and fixed it up. How is it junky?"
Samuel counted on his fingers, "My daddy's car costs like five million dollars."
"Can we not compare with Michael?" Jasper rubbed Samuel's head, "I have my pride too."
"I still like Uncle Jasper's car better," Samuel said with a grin, "Because I don't get carsick."
Samuel got carsick. Luxury cars were too well-sealed and made him dizzy, but Jasper's car, with windows that wouldn't even roll up anymore, had good air circulation.
"You're flattering me," Jasper laughed too.
Michael's house.
Nora had cried herself hoarse before Michael finally let her go.
He didn't go too hard this time, because Michael had learned to be gentle.
After coaxing her to sleep, Michael got up and left the bedroom.
"I had someone pull Opal's hair," Marcus said on the other end of the phone, "We still need to confirm the relationship between Nora and Opal, in case Jasper isn't her biological son."
Michael's face darkened, "The chances of Jasper not being her biological son are very low."
"Is there a possibility that Nora is actually the real Adams family heiress, and Evelyn is Opal's daughter? Opal had an affair with Owen and gave birth to Evelyn, then deliberately staged this whole thing so her daughter could have a good life?" Marcus analyzed with Michael.
"Is Owen blind?" Michael thought Marcus's analysis was unreliable.
"You haven't seen photos of Opal when she was young. She wasn't ugly," Marcus took a sip of beer, "I'm serious, someone like Opal wouldn't be so good to Evelyn for no reason."
"Besides, when the whole real and fake heiress thing came out, only Owen and Evelyn did a paternity test. Nora never did one with Opal."
Michael leaned back on the sofa and took a sip of wine, "You have three days. Look into it."
"Three days! Michael, are you a tyrant?" Marcus protested.
"Shut up," Michael's face darkened.
If Nora really was the Adams family heiress, and Opal had schemed to make her suffer for six years, even cutting her into pieces wouldn't be enough.
"I redid the paternity test for you and Samuel. I've sent it to your email. Are you sure you don't want to look?" Marcus said mysteriously.
Michael took a deep breath and raised his hand to his forehead, "Don't mention this to anyone, especially not Nora."
Actually, even without that report, Michael had already guessed the result.
Marcus had sent the report to his email a while ago.
He just hadn't dared open it.
He didn't dare.
"Michael, don't be scared. Even though you hurt Nora six years ago, you were a victim too. Just explain it to her properly," Marcus couldn't understand what Michael was afraid of.
"You don't understand..." Marcus didn't understand what the trauma from six years ago meant to Nora.
Walter pretending to be Samuel's father was clearly crossing Nora's line.
Nora was too resistant to that night six years ago.
And Michael himself was also very resistant to it.
"Michael, you can't hide the truth forever. If it comes out one day, Nora will definitely leave you," Marcus sighed.
It was rare for a woman to make Michael's heart move.
If she really ran away, who knew what crazy things Michael might do.
"I won't let her run," Michael's voice was hoarse.
"Don't do things you'll regret. Women are meant to be cherished, not bullied," Marcus reminded Michael.
"Do I need you to teach me?" Michael was about to hang up.
"Michael, I still think you should tell Nora," Marcus was already getting worried.
"Shut up. You're dismissed," Michael hung up directly.
Throwing his phone aside, Michael leaned back on the sofa, his hands numb.
Samuel really was his son.
Crazy, this was really crazy.
Laughing helplessly, Michael poured himself a drink.
Should he call this fate, or punishment from heaven?
Just because six years ago he was too arrogant, thinking he'd been set up, and didn't find Nora sooner, now six years later, his wife and child were both by his side, but he didn't dare acknowledge them.
Sure enough, people have to bear the consequences of their mistakes.
Jasper's house.
Jasper was asleep, and so were Samuel and Milo.
The door was quietly opened. Opal carefully entered, looking around.
At night, Milo had a habit of getting up for water. Half-asleep, he came out for a drink when suddenly someone covered his mouth and nose from behind, and he passed out.
Opal looked around nervously, making sure she hadn't woken Jasper, then ran out with the child.
She had promised Walter she would secretly take Samuel away, creating the illusion that the child had been kidnapped.
Once Nora and Jasper failed to protect Samuel, the Wood family would have the right to take the child directly from Nora.
Nora naturally couldn't be separated from her child, so she would definitely return to his side.
