Nima looked into Emily's eyes, seeking an explanation for her sudden outburst.
Emily mentally groaned. She had acted out of line…. Damn it!
She suddenly shut her eyes and reopened them. Taking a side glance at the still perplexed Nima, she turned to face her and cupped her face in her palms.
Nima's tension eased, seeing her friend back to her former self. "You scared me." Nima said before Emily could talk.
"I'm sorry I shouted, but it was out of frustration that you weren't seeing what I could see." Emily said, taking a different approach in getting Nima and Joel to click.
Nima looked at her, confused, and Emily chuckled softly.
"My dumb friend." She said, and Nima pouted.
"To put it simply, I felt bad I couldn't help you solve your problem yesterday, and then today you are pushing away some hot guy that seems to be deeply interested in you." Emily said and saw Nima about to interject with a displeased expression, so she explained further.
"I understand you. His approach was too bold for you to consider it safe. But have you forgotten you are like a sex instructor?
It was like expecting a surgeon to refer to blood as red liquid to avoid grossing people out. They see blood and touch it for a living, so of course they wouldn't sugarcoat the word or expect the same from others.
Only I know you're innocent. Others would think you jump a hot man at first glance." Emily clicked her tongue, seeing that her words were finally getting to Nima.
She was listening attentively with her frown already settled.
"So babe, this guy seems interested in you enough to dig out all that and still apologise for his actions at the end, when he could clearly blackmail you.
If he had told you he would expose you, I know what this work means to you and could swear that you will sleep with him to keep it.
Why not try him and see what comes after? I think it is time you let in a third party in your life, Nima. You're so beautiful, and he sounds compelled by what he saw. He wanted to explore you, babe, so go get explored.
Sex is more fun than your imagination, babe. You should try it." Emily was done with her coercion.
Nima had just been given a reason to drop morality and swim the ocean of temptations.
She grimaced and let out a soft breath. "Gosh! This feels so awkward. Like, I will just call him be like…." She stood up and spread her arms, "come fuck me, handsome. I've actually been craving a man's body for a while now….. that sounds gross. I can't do this." She frantically shook her head.
Emily got on her feet and looked seriously into her eyes. "You can do it, Nima. You just have to let go and give it a trial. I mean…. The dude apologised, so just use it as an excuse to give him a chance. You could even get a man to be your co-host. He offered anyway." Emily wasn't giving her chances to wiggle out of it.
"I don't know how to do this. I need to digest the whole thing first." Nima concluded, but somehow Emily wasn't having it.
"Okay, how about you let me do the talking for you till you both reach a mutual ground. I am not the one he had uncovered her secret and want to be with. I will chat with him with a clear head." Emily proposed and Nima agreed instantly.
Reaching for Nima's laptop, Emily opened the chat and typed.
*You apologised and ran away. If we don't clear things now, believe me that this would be the end of our conversation for real. Take it or leave it.*
They waited for a few minutes but no response.
"He isn't online. Let's just forget this." Nima said with her heart feeling unsettled.
She find the whole thing weird, but her mind couldn't stop reliving the moment she opened his video.
His body looked so perfect. Damn!
"Just calm down. We've got this.," Emily said, trying not to be too pushy.
Nima waited anxiously as Emily typed once again.
*You can hack me all you want, but you cannot force me to reply to your messages. I'm telling you it's now or never.*
"Oh yeah. So, all the self unlocking was due to him hacking me. God Emily, he's so weird. I'm not so desperate for sex, so why not let forget this." Nima's uncertain voice rang in Emily's ears and it irritates her.
If only they weren't separated, Nima would try marking the man at first glance. Damn it!
Emily mentally chided herself. She cannot lose her cool. This is why they were here and Nima is just a human now.
Her heart fragile and like every other lady that feared outside world, she has insecurities and anxiety issues.
She was about to find a befitting reply, when Nima pointed at the screen, "He's typing, he's typing!" She exclaimed.
They both concentrated at the screen and then turn to look into each other's eyes after reading the contents of his message.
Joel: "I don't know who you are and neither do I care, but don't talk on Nima's behalf. Will appreciate if you could help me convince her though. My approach was rash, but I was serious."
Taking it as a challenge, Emily typed.
Emily: "Seriously about wanting to fuck her and shove your manhood down her throat?"
Joel: "Yes"
Nima facepalm. "He's crazy. Now you're seeing for yourself." She said to Emily.
Another message followed.
Joel: "For now, that was my intention, but I'm single and ready to see if we could click other than sexual interest alone. "
It was Emily's turn to give Nima a knowing look.
Nima blushed hard.
Emily: "I'm her friend and rest assured that she's here with me. Consider yourself chatting with both of us. Each message you read will have her consent before they reach you."
Joel: "What's your name."
Emily: "The name is Emily and I will like to confirm a few things with you to ease the creep awareness you gave my friend.
