You can't be serious

You can't be serious
Him.
Shit.
I blinked. Then I laughed. "You can't be serious."
No one jumped in to say 'joke' and jazz gestures.
Shit.
They really were serious.
No.
"Is this some kind of blood cult, a group of vampire wannabes or something?", I asked, clinging to the hope that maybe they were just deluded.
"I'm sorry, but no, "Bonnie said bluntly. "It took a while to sink in, and I'd already been with them for two fucking years when they told me."
"But that's not possible..." And yet... something was going around in my head telling me that maybe it was.
Maybe, just maybe, Harry had some kind of compulsion ability that had erased my memory. Maybe I had overlooked the possibility that they were moving faster than I could process when they were chasing Bladimir .
And maybe my world had gotten a lot bigger.
And scarier.
And holy hell.
"Vampires are real."
"Yes said Bonnie as she approached me, blood dripping onto Damon's plush carpet . I was hoping the guy had a good cleanup." But I'm still human. Acheron is a glorified wizard and..."
"Shut up "Ackles growled at Bonnie .
My God, those two fought worse than a couple of teenagers.
I looked at Damon , who was lying on the couch. He was pale as death and looked more like a fresh corpse than a vampire. Was this really possible? Was the man in front of me a bloodsucking nocturnal creature?
Fuck, was he grunting? That really didn't convince me. I also couldn't get over the feeling that my heart felt like lead in my chest. Like it had sunk to the bottom of the ocean without Damon there to help me navigate whatever was between us.
I looked at Harry and swallowed saliva to get over the lump I felt in my throat. "What do I have to do?"
He smiled warmly. "Well, first you need to..."
"Stop beating around the bush," Bonnie moaned . She lunged at me, knife in hand. I recoiled instinctively, but she grabbed my wrist and slashed the black cloth, cutting my skin in the process. Blood began to gush instantly from the cut, glistening against my pale skin. It was a few moments before I felt the sting, which meant Bonnie's knife must have been razor sharp. I couldn't say I was surprised.
"Bonnie!" shouted Harry .

I was pushed towards Damon and Bonnie manhandled me until my arm dripped blood over her lips. It was almost as if he was stunned, watching me from another perspective.
Time stood still as I waited, my heart in my throat and my body trembling with anticipation. A part of me still thought this was all crazy. That it couldn't be real and that the fact that I was feeding someone my blood was evidence of my own psychotic break.
But then Damon flinched and my heart raced.
"Put your wrist down to her mouth," Harry said , pushing Bonnie away and helping me get more comfortable. He got me a chair to sit in so I wasn't kneeling on the floor, and he came to sit next to me. I had to admit that having the giant beside me was strangely comforting. Harry had a quiet, unassuming strength. Like he was on your side and willing to help you if you needed it. And boy did I need support right now.
"Will it hurt?" I asked.
"It's possible " Harry replied . "I don't know how bad Damon is." Normally, feeding him is a pleasurable experience for both of us, but he's badly injured, so I can't predict how it will affect him.
"Oh. "My stomach churned, was I doing the right thing?

"I'll stay, Hanna " said Harry ." I won't let him hurt you or take too much from you."
"Thank you," I said gratefully and a little relieved.
"Axel , help Bonnie find the Doc and if you see Ackles , tell him to stay away," ordered Harry . They grumbled and whined about it , but followed his orders .
Axel looked over his shoulder towards the door. "Let me know if he's okay, Harry."
Harry nodded and Ackles closed the door softly behind him.
"Why did you send them away?" I asked with a frown.
Harry's warm gaze held my gaze. "Because feeding is an intimate thing, and I didn't think you'd want others to see you."
"Oh "I said not knowing what to think." I have lots and lots of questions."
"I know and I'm sure Damon will answer them all." And if he doesn't, I'm sure....
I screamed as immense pain welled up in my veins. It was as if lava was coursing through my blood, searing my insides, and I was surprised, as I looked down, that my skin wasn't melting.
Damon had dug his fangs into my wrist and his hands held me down. His gulps as he swallowed my blood were loud, how much was he taking?
I shot a pleading glance at Harry and was glad to see he was sitting on the edge of his seat, ready to intervene if Damon endured too much.
I watched in horror and fascination as the jagged wounds on his chest rebuilt themselves. "Gee!"
"It shouldn't be much more now," Harry said .
But it didn't seem to hurt so much anymore. The pain began to fade into a warm buzzing sound that ran across my skin. Like little vibrations that set my soul on fire.
It was unsettling and delicious at the same time. My clothes were too tight, hell, my skin was pulling too tight. My mind began to wander, and I wasn't sure if it was the feeding or the blood loss, but I understood why people could obsess over the idea of a vampire bite. The whole sensation was intensely blissful.
Damon slowed down and finally stopped. He licked my wrist and let go. It was now a more normal color and the only sign that it had been injured was the dried blood on his skin. When I looked at my wrist, there wasn't a mark. I guess some vampire legend was true. Suddenly, I wondered what else might be true.
I absently rubbed my wrist as I watched Damon sleep.
"He probably won't be well for a while," Harry said as he texted someone. Probably Ackles to let him know Damon was okay. He envied them all a little. He had no one but Mery , and he couldn't even contact her because he thought she was on a bloody cruise.
"Can I stay?"
A warm smile came over the tank's face. "Of course. I'll get you something to eat and drink."
"Do I get a cookie for making a nice donation?", I said with a snort.
"Something like that " he said with a smile. He patted me on the s
houlder as he passed. "Thanks, Harry."
