Chapter Thirty-Six

My NEW Journal.

Saturday.

My plan not to see HIM backfired. He showed up at the dorm tonight. And he was pissed off. He had to pay for our room at the resort when I no showed, and I feel like a total jerk, because I didn’t even think of that. But once he calmed down—and apologized!!—we actually had a good conversation. More than a conversation if you know what I mean. And weirdly…it wasn’t weird. Just amazing. Who would’ve guessed that a guy like him could kiss like that? I’m sure every person I know would laugh at the idea of me and him being a thing. We couldn’t be less suited to each other. And I know all the stuff that the girls say about him. I know what You-Know-Who thinks about him, too. And speaking of him. He showed up here and asked me to have a coffee. And olive branch, or something. He for sure thought I was going to say no. I could tell. He looked downright confused when I said yes instead. I just played it cool the entire time. Talked to him like an old acquaintance. Maybe he’ll finally get the hint. He can’t control me. Onward and upward, like Mom always said.

Love, Me
