The mysterious Alpha
The mysterious Alpha
MEANWHILE....
Pyrrhus Cole strolled into his artillery room searching for a special black cactus dust which was one of the most poisonous substance in my room.
He grabbed three arrows each specifically for a target. Going through his poison rack in order to poison the arrows, he searched for Cactus powder but alas it was nowhere to be found.
He furrowed his brows and was about to storm out of the room in case Little Phoenix had came there, His footsteps trailed off as soon as he noticed a gold button from the dress Mila was wearing.
He in swift movement, he made for the kitchen. He could hear as she poured a substance into a plate but he liked away when she sighted him.
As he locked her in the dark room, she could hear her screams.
"No!! No don't leave me here!, I am afraid of darkness Pyrrhus please don't leave me here"
With a smirk, he left the doorstep angrily, "She really thought she could poison me after knowing that her mother got an heart attack?" He mumbled to himself.
He was about to settle down and dish another plate of non poisoned food to eat, then he felt a pair of small hands hugged him from behind.
“Little Phoenix?” he called.
Hugging his neck tighter, the little lad pleaded “Father please let mother out of the dark room”
Pyrrhus Cole freed his neck from his grip and faced his son, “Little Phoenix, Mother will be freed as soon as she had reflected on her actions and repent”
As if on clue, the lad burst into sobs and began to create ruckus. “I will not stop crying until you release mother”
Pyrrhus faced him with sharp expression, “I am telling you Phoenix, if you don’t stop crying because of Mila, I will deal with you mercilessly”
“I want to see Mother” the lad cried on not minding his father’s threats.
“Go to sleep Phoenix!!”
The lad remained obstinate as he left his father's presence to continue his rampage.
“Damn!” he groaned under his breath as he looked at the direction of the room her had locked Mila in.
He hated to see Phoenix cry for anything. Sometimes he wished Phoenix was no longer a child so he could understand the things of this cruel world.
Considering Little Phoenix, he walked into dark room with the leftover prune porridge which she made and placed it in front of her.
“Eat”
“I'm not hungry” She replied as she tried to suppress her tears. Pyrrhus frowned deeply.
“I'm not giving you a choice and I'm not going to poison you like you did”
Standing up and walking towards the direction of his voice blindly, she poised a question at him, “Why don't you just kill me and get on with your life? Why don’t you just let me rest and enjoy your blood thirst life? Just kill me already?!!”She cried out with her chains dangling.
With a voice filled with no expression, he replied coldly, “I wont kill you but you will live to pay for your father’s sin”
After that, he left the room. Mila fell to the cold floor and cried. “Why did you do this father? What did you do to his family that I must suffer for?”
She cried helplessly ignoring the food on the tray before her.
While Little Phoenix insisted on sleeping in her room for the night.
Next Morning, Mila woke up under the warm covers of her bed and Little Phoenix sleeping peaceful in her arms.
She was surprised to find herself in the room because she remembered falling asleep on the cold floor of the dark room.
Then remembering who else might have done this except for Pyrrhus she smiled. “What a big devil” She mumbled.
“When you’re done cussing at me can you get up from bed?” his cool and serene voice rang from the door.
She looked towards the direction and saw him standing arms akimbo against the door.
She stood up and walked towards him, “Why did you bring me to the room? Are you not mad at me again?”
Walking into the room to get Little Phoenix who had by now sleep walk from his position almost falling down, he remarked, “I understand that as a Princess you lack respect but were you taught to greet people with questions?”
As he picked Little Phoenix, the little guy stared awake from his slumbers, as he sighted his father, he released himself from his grip and rushed towards Mila’s outstretched arms.
“Mother!!” he called with enthusiasm in his voice.
Mila knelt down and hugged him more tighter, “Did you sleep well baby?”
“Mother are you alright after sleeping in the dark room? Should I help you get revenge on father?” he asked.
Mila smiled at his ignorance and carried him up her arms and left the room leaving Pyrrhus to gawk at their show of affection. “Little Phoenix didn’t have the power to take revenge on father now, so we shall do it together when Little Phoenix has the power then we will deal with father together”
Pyrrhus Cole watched the show of affection between the two buddies.
Phoenix looked happy just like how he had always be whenever he was with him. Looking at them acting cockily with each other made him wished that Mila was Little Phoenix’s real mother but she can never be.
He walked over to them and muttered, “Get dressed”
“What for?”
Putting on his cloak, “We're going to the market”
Mila dropped Little Phoenix and walked up to him...
"Market?" Are you going to use for slave trade now or what?"
"You talk too much Mila!" He yelled
"And you talk too much in parables Pyrrhus, I never understand what you say, are you a monk in your past life?" She yelled after him.
Pyrrhus was surprised. Mila yeller at him? Isn't she afraid of getting locked up again?
"Change Little Phoenix's dress too, he'll be coming with us" he replied Making
for the door.
With a resigned submission, she sighed.... "Ohh Pyrrhus you're so mysterious!"
