Chapter 2: Curse Of The Living
Andrew
At this time of year, the days would never go by without her constantly being on my mind. It just got worse every second, every minute. On Valentine’s Day, she would consume my thoughts entirely. The softness of her hair, velvety touch, the giddiness her laugh brought me, and the sweetness of her eyes. The gift she had gotten me on the day she died, made it worse. On the Valentine’s Day prior to her death, I had given her a specially designed day collar to symbolize my lifelong commitment to her, within the community that we held so dear, exploring BDSM together, opened the communication between us as we explored ourselves and each other. Our bond grew to what I thought was unbreakable, even beyond death. Tonight, I decided that I was returning to her the gift she had bought for me.
I removed the day collar from around my neck and placed it around the neck of my wax imitation of her. It now cradled the day collar I had previously given her, as I wished my arms could cradle her once more. Just one last time. I would give anything to feel her touch, smell her hair, and kiss her sweet lips again. As I caressed the cheek of my wax wife, I lit a candle. I kissed her waxy lips and said goodbye to everything that once was. I held the flame under her chin and started melting my wax wife.
I couldn’t bear the curse of living without her any longer. I decided that, once my wax wife has melted, I too, would say goodbye to this world. Life was not worth living alone. We all needed the other half of ourselves to feel whole. The other half of my soul has been empty for far too long. I have grown bitter towards those around me. I have pushed all my friends and family away. I even arranged for our pets to be adopted. I couldn’t love anything anymore without feeling her love by my side, and would rather not live at all.
Slowly, I started moving the flame over my wax wife. I moved it from head to toe. Back and forth several times. The repetitive action became almost soothing, until I was about to melt her face and noticed something strange. There was something within the wax. I knew there shouldn’t have been anything there because I made her. How could there be something now? I came to the conclusion that I must have been hallucinating. Maybe it was from the poison I ingested before I started this whole process.
