Chapter Fifty-Four
I knew he was right, but that didn’t make it any easier. He stood, buttoning his shirt up before helping me slip on my sandals. We walked to the door, every step reminding me of the plug in my ass and the egg that sent pulsing vibrations through me.
When we got down to the lobby, Derrick was waiting for us. “If you two would like to head to the private beach. Dom is waiting for you.”
I nodded my head, thanking him again. I looped my arm through Kane’s, leaning my body against his as we made our way outside.
The sun was low on the water and soft flickering lights illuminated our path. I quickened my pace as Dom came into view. His back was to us. It didn’t take away from the way that he looked in his pressed, charcoal gray slacks hugging his ass in all the right places. A soft blue button-up shirt finished his outfit, the material tight across his arms and chest. His hair moved in the breeze and I was reminded again of how handsome he was as he turned to face us. His lips spreading into a smile that would have given any model a run for their money. He lifted his hand up, looking at his wrist watch. “Right on time.”
“We couldn’t be late.” Kane chuckled, letting me slip away from him.
I looked away from Dom, taking in the lighted arch that framed him like the scene from a move. My heart beat faster as I got closer to him.
“Dom?”
“Sarah, will you be mine?” He asked.
“Dom-” My voice shook. He knew that I was already his. Well, his and Kane’s.
“I know it’s a big thing to ask, but I want you to be mine. Well, ours.” His hands shook as he reached into his pocket, pulling out a velvet-covered box. Dom got down onto one knee and my heart beat faster. “Kane and I picked this out together. Will you marry us?”
I felt Kane move behind me as Dom opened the little box. Nestled in the fabric was a garnet on a simple silver band. It was the type of ring that I’d always wanted. Something unique, just like the three of us.
“Yes, I’ll marry you. Both of you.”
Kane wrapped his arms around my waist, hugging me from behind as he kissed my neck beneath the collar where he’d claimed me.
Dom slipped the ring onto my finger before standing up and pulling me into his arms. Lifting me off the ground to kiss me as he spun around. “Sarah, I promise that I’ll always take care of you.” He said, sitting me back down.
“I’ve got something for Sarah to give you.” Kane said. I looked over at him. His hand was outstretched, the glint of the key catching the flicker of the lights from the arch.
“Kane?”
“Only if you want to be his too.”
I took the key from his hand, holding it close before turning to look at Dom. His eyes moved from my hand to the collar and I knew that he wanted it, that I wanted it too. I was theirs, and it didn’t matter what anyone would think. We all belonged together. They were my future, and I couldn’t imagine it without either of them.
“Dom, I’m yours.” I said, holding out the key to him.
His face lit up, his wolf-like eyes staring me down as he took the key from my hand. “And I’m yours.”
He tucked the key into his pocket before his hands went up to the buttons on his shirt. I looked at Kane to see him doing the same thing. “Guys, not that I don’t mind having a threesome on the beach. But-”
“We’re not.” Kane chuckled behind me as he pulled off his pants. He turned, walking away from me. “We’re shifting, we wanted you to see us. Well, our beasts.”
Gulping, I nodded as a breeze blew. Making goosebumps rise over my skin. Was I ready to see this part of both of them? Logically, I knew that they were shifters. Now I’d be seeing it first hand. There was a popping sound like bones breaking. I watched Kane stretch. His skin taking on a dark blue color. Scales moving along his body that was becoming bigger than a house. When he was finished, a dragon stood where a man had been. Flickering light playing off sapphire blue hide that I knew would be rough to the touch. He looked at me with dark eyes, dipping his head almost as if he were beckoning me closer.
“Kane.” I whispered, my eyes going wide. How could a beast this size live inside a man? This is what legends were made of, what fairytales spoke of. Only I didn’t want anyone to slay the dragon. I stepped closer to him, bringing my hand up to touch one of the scales. It was smooth, like well worn leather beneath my fingertips. He nuzzled his long snout against my hand, and I giggled. The breath tickling my palm. “You’re pretty.”
I felt the brush of fur under my other hand as Dom pressed himself against me. A tawny wolf stood beside me with amber-colored eyes. He was bigger than a normal wolf, but I knew that it was him. I could feel it, see it in his gaze. Dropping to my knees, I buried my hands in his fur. Hugging him close to me, he sat down, pressing his great furry body closer to me. “It’s so soft.”
“You’re both amazing.” I whispered, still in awe that both of the men that I loved weren’t human. That they were the things of legends and myths. The popping sounded beside me, and I felt Kane’s hand on my shoulder.
“I love you, both of you.” He said, bringing his hand up to pet Dom.
Dom let out a little whine before he stepped away from me. His bones popping as the fur receded back into his skin and human eyes looked back at me. “We should get upstairs.”
