CHAPTER 25
MELISSA QUIZON
"I have a confession to make."
Shit!
"No, Wright…" I murmured. I was anxious about what was happening, while Reid also seemed confused about what was happening.
Wright took a deep breath and smiled. "I just want to tell you that Kiss N Tell will be disbanding."
Wait. What?
"Yes. We have agreed that this will be the last concert we will do," Leon added. He approached Wright and patted him on the shoulder. Wright smiled sparingly at him.
Fier also stood up and approached Wright. The sadness could be seen on their faces. Whispers were the only sounds heard inside the arena.
I looked up at Reid as he took my hand and caressed my skin with a rose. He didn't understand what was going on, which was okay with me. I adjusted the color of his polo shirt, which was slightly crumpled.
"And also…" I turned to Wright. He was looking at me. His eyes twinkled as he stared at us. I held my breath. "I already have a family of my own."
Family?! What was he saying?!
He approached the stairs and went down.
No.
His dark eyes glimmered with passion. His sensual mouth was set in a firm line; his defined jaw was tight.
Oh. No.
I'd never seen Wright like this before. Raw masculinity seemed to ooze out of his pores.
I gulped.
He held out his hand to me. "Come."
What to do? What to do?!
He tilted his head to the side. My lips parted as he smiled at me. I didn't know what to say. He touched the microphone against his lips, bent down, and whispered to me. "I told you. I'd do anything for you to take me back, baby."
Wright!
He moved to Reid and picked him up. He also whispered something to Reid, but I couldn't hear it. I stood up because of that. Just now, I felt the trembling of my knee. He touched my waist.
"Meet my wife, Melissa Agoncillo, and my son, Reid Mikhail Agoncillo." Pleasure could be heard in his voice.
Wife?! Me?! NO!
Everyone was upset. The media had become more aggressive. They were greedy for photos. Security personnel came out to protect us. Reid hugged Wright and pressed his head against his father's neck. I stooped as I walked, carrying my annoyance and anger at Wright.
"This is all your fault," I hissed at Wright as the media continued to press around us.
"Blame me all you want, but I will never regret what I did, Melissa."
We gasped as we reached backstage. Just a few minutes later, Leon, Fier, and Racky joined. All of them were confused by the media. Wright lowered Reid, and Reid immediately hugged me. He was scared of what had just happened. I knelt to hug him.
This is all your father's fault, baby.
"Is this your son, Wright?" I was shocked by Fier, and so was Reid. "You look just like that fucker. I mean, you enjoy it the most!"
"Your mouth, Fier. There is a child here," Racky said, and she also knelt across from us. When I saw her face, the memory of what had happened to us came back. Se smiled at us. "Hello, Little Wright." Reid moved his head to the other side as if wondering if he should greet Racky. She giggled. "So cute! Can I hug him?!"
Reid immediately came over to her and held Racky's hand.
My son was like that, just like his father—kind to any woman.
"Man, are you all right?" Leon said.
I saw Wright sitting in a chair while sniffing. He was breathing fast as if someone were chasing him. I approached him, leaving Reid with Racky.
Were my suspicions correct?
He stood up when he saw me. He sat up and smiled as if he felt nothing.
You can't fool me again, Agoncillo.
I touched his forehead and was shocked.
"Wright! You're too hot!" I shouted.
He had a fever! I was right! The reddish cheeks. The heavy breathing. Everything was confirmed!
Wright took my hand, which was resting on his forehead, and kissed it. "I'm aware, baby."
"You have a fever," I repeated. Damn him!
"Yeah.." He tried to stand up but lost consciousness.
