“My sweet baby, I fucking missed you so much”
Darius had said that for like the millionth time since I was back here and alright. Right now, we were lying in bed, cuddled up in each other’s arms.
I turned to face him, and he kissed me softly on the lips. I felt a flutter in my chest, and my heart swelled with love for him “I missed you even more babe”
"you are my angel” he muttered, his voice barely above a whisper.
We lay there in silence for a moment, enjoying the quiet intimacy of the morning. Then, I began to speak, the words pouring out of me like a river.
“You never really told me what happened to you” he said.
I looked up at him, confused “why are you asking?”
He heaved a sigh “I just hate it… I hate the fact that I am not fully able to relate to all that you had been through, I just want to understand, I want to be able to bear your burden with you” Darius's eyes were fixed on mine, his expression attentive.
I smiled at him and placed my hand on his cheek "You are precious to me baby "I said, my voice gentle.
He placed his lips softly on mine “I love you babe”
I took a deep breath, the memories flooding back. "Thorne is a fucking monster you know that right?" I asked.
Darius eyes turned serious “what the fuck did he do to you?”
I contemplated whether or not I would tell him the full truth of all that happened.
“You can little one… trust him” Val said.
“When I was stuck there with Thorne, he hurt me really badly, there was no bed, no light…. He only gave me water and a piece of stale bread once everyday” I said.
“Fucking bastard” Darius muttered…. He looked so angry on my behalf and it made me really happy to know that.
“The day he tried to touch me-”
“He what!!!1” he bellowed. I placed my hands on his hand “please Darius let me finish” I said.
He nodded and held me tighter to himself, giving me time to collect myself, before I was able to continue talking “I felt so disgusting Darius, I felt like I was doing you wrong, that you would hate me… but I promise you babe, I did not want that”
Darius hugged me close to himself immediately “I know you babe… I know that you would never do that to me” he said and kissed the top of my head. I wrapped my hands tightly around him and cried loudly.
Darius was whispered sweet nothings into my ears caressing me. I sniffed “anyways I ran away and I was in the woods for quite a while, and that is where I found out that I was pregnant… I was almost killed by some rouges and that is when I was saved by the Lost Moon Pack”
I looked up at him.
Darius's eyes shone with tears, and he squeezed my hand.
"You' are so fucking amazing Ayla” he said, his voice filled with emotion. "Like literally, you are the strongest, most beautiful perfect fucking person in the entire world” he kissed me on the lips “and I am s fucking thankful to the goddess for giving you to me”
I smiled up at him, looking at this beautiful human that I called my mate…. Thank the heavens for forgiveness, because I don’t know what my life would be like if I never had to forgive Darius.
He was a literal light.
And I was so fucking in love with him.
"I wouldn't be here without you, Darius," I said, my voice trembling. "You've been my rock, my safe haven. You've helped me find my strength, and my heart…. And I will always love you for that"
Darius's face softened, and he pulled me into a gentle kiss.
"I love you, Ayla," he whispered, his voice filled with so much love.
I hugged him back, just as tightly and we lay back down just basking in each other’s presence and just enjoying our own warmth.

Later that day, we gathered with the Lost Moon Pack in the hall.
They had been here for a few days, recuperating, since the war had taken a toll on us all.         
"Hey there, Ayla," Rae said smirking at me... me and her had become pretty good friends, and she reminded me so much of Kevin, Alpha Kalen really had his hands full with this one.
Speaking of the devil, Alpha Kalen walked over to us and embraced Rae “how can I help you Ayla?” he asked.
"Darius and I have been talking, and we've decided to offer you an option."
The pack's eyes were fixed on me, their expressions curious.
"You can join our pack," I said, my voice clear and strong. "You can become part of the Blood Fang Pack, and we'll welcome you with open arms."
The pack looked at each other, their faces uncertain.
Alpha Kalen spoke up “thank you for asking Ayla, it is really good to know that you really do care about us” he said “but we will have to decline”
Rae nodded “our pack has gotten this far because of our principles and we will always stand by that no matter what” she said
 I nodded, understanding “I can respect that” I said.
Rae smiled “but we will keep in touch though, you are far too enchanting or us to stop keeping in contact with” she said.
I folded my arms “so you are using me?” I asked.
She shrugged “you could say that”
I chuckled “well I give you permission to… anything that you need, just say the words and we will help you in any way that we can” I said.
The pack smiled.
"Thank you, Ayla," they said.
“But we can’t let you leave without a party” Darius said “just something small to show our appreciation”
It was a fun party, nice night full of celebration, and the next day it was time to assay goodbye.
It was such a bittersweet feeling.
"You're an amazing person, Ayla,"
Darius wrapped his hands around me…. His voice was so husky and I felt a nice sensation running through me.
I smiled at him "I'm happy, Darius," I said, my voice barely above a whisper. "I'm happy with you, and with our pack."
Darius kissed my cheek.
"I'm happy too, Ayla…. You have no idea”
And as we stood there, wrapped in each other's arms, I knew that I was exactly where I was meant to be.
