Chapter 537 Everyone Is Happy

Chapter 537 Everyone Is Happy

Allegra walked up to them just in time.

Ambrose froze for a moment when he saw Allegra, then quickly remembered this was her event and tried to lead Kenna away.

But Allegra pulled out a small red gift box.

"You know what's inside, right?" Allegra asked Ambrose.

Ambrose's heart skipped a beat.

Of course, he knew. It was the engagement ring he had prepared for Kenna.

He had put a lot of thought into this ring.

He had it designed by a world-renowned designer, making it one of a kind.

"Take it," Allegra said, handing it to him.

Ambrose took the ring with trembling hands.

He slowly opened the box, revealing a dazzling five-carat diamond ring that caught everyone's eye.

It was blindingly bright.

Ambrose took it out and looked at Kenna.

Kenna had been watching him the whole time. Ambrose got down on one knee.

Kenna covered her mouth, afraid she might actually cry out loud.

The scene she had dreamed of was finally happening right before her eyes.

"Kenna," Ambrose's voice was choked with emotion.

Kenna nodded vigorously.

"I know I was a jerk before, but I swear I'll change. I'll be a good husband, and I'll be a good..." Ambrose paused, "I'll be a good father!"

Even if the child wasn't biologically his, he would accept it.

As long as it was Kenna's, it was fine with him.

"Okay," Kenna couldn't hold back her tears.

"Will you marry me?"

"Yes," Kenna didn't hesitate.

She placed her hand in front of Ambrose.

Ambrose took the ring and tried to slide it onto Kenna's ring finger.

It wouldn't go on halfway.

Ambrose frowned. That couldn't be right.

He had secretly measured her finger; it was supposed to fit.

He applied a bit more force.

"Ouch," Kenna screamed in pain.

Ambrose quickly pulled back, "I'm sorry, I don't understand... why is it too small?"

He was at a loss for words.

"It's because I've gained weight from the pregnancy; it's not your fault," Kenna explained.

Ambrose looked at Kenna and asked after a moment, "What should we do then?"

"Let's wait until I lose the weight," Kenna suggested.

"Oh," Ambrose was a bit disappointed.

He had dreamed of seeing Kenna wear the custom ring he had made for her.

But it was okay. They had plenty of time. The most important thing was that Kenna was marrying him.

Ambrose stood up, and as soon as he did, people around them started chanting, "Kiss! Kiss!"

Kenna's face turned bright red.

Ambrose could see Kenna's shyness and didn't want to make her uncomfortable.

Even though he really wanted to kiss her right now.

That night, when Kenna got drunk and ended up in bed with him, he couldn't stop thinking about it.

He often found himself washing his underwear in the middle of the night, reminiscing.

Just as Ambrose was about to lead Kenna away, he felt a soft touch on his lips.

Kenna had kissed him, right on the lips.

Ambrose's heart pounded like thunder.

He looked at Kenna in disbelief.

Kenna had kissed him, in front of everyone?

Ambrose was so stunned by Kenna's kiss that he didn't know what to do.

Nico couldn't help but tease, "Ambrose, did that kiss make you dumb?"

Ambrose took a deep breath.

He didn't bother with Nico. Why argue with a single guy?

"Ignore him," Ambrose said, "Let's go. Mmm."

Ambrose's eyes widened again.

This time, Kenna kissed him again, but she didn't pull away like before. She kissed him deeply.

Then her little tongue started to explore.

Ambrose's body went rigid, his heart racing wildly.

He couldn't control himself, he really couldn't.

Ambrose wrapped his arms around Kenna and cupped the back of her head.

Kenna was so petite in front of him, even though she was pregnant.

He deepened the kiss, taking back control.

Rose petals started to fall around them, adding to the romantic atmosphere.

They kissed for a long time, completely lost in each other.

Nico couldn't help but whisper, "So this is what it feels like to finally be in love."

"You, a single guy, have no right to mock Ambrose," Allegra shot back, always quick with a sharp retort.

If Nico were any more sensitive, Allegra's words would have killed him.

"But aren't they kissing for too long? Is this party still happening?" Allegra was a bit exasperated.

"Ah!" Hazel suddenly cried out.

Allegra turned, "You can't watch this anymore either?"

"No, it's not that," Hazel clutched her belly, "I think I'm going into labor."

"What!" Allegra exclaimed.

George's face turned pale.

But he remained calm and composed.

Before anyone could react, George had already picked up Hazel and was heading out.

Allegra didn't hesitate to follow.

"Allegra, this is our event," Lucius reminded her.

"I don't care," Allegra said, "Have my mom and the others entertain the guests. I need to be there for the birth."

Lucius hesitated for a moment, knowing there was no reasoning with Allegra, and followed her out.

Ambrose and Kenna also sensed something was wrong.

Reluctantly, they pulled apart, just in time to hear Nico shout, "If you're done kissing, come to the hospital. Hazel's in labor!"

Hearing that, Kenna immediately wanted to follow.

Ambrose grabbed her, "Slow down. We'll make it."

A bunch of people left the hall in a hurry.

Allegra's second child's birthday party ended up being hosted by the baby himself.

After all, his parents were quite unreliable. The group quickly arrived at the hospital.

As soon as they got there, Hazel was rushed to the delivery room. Her water had broken, and the situation was urgent.

George was visibly anxious.

Even someone as calm and composed as him couldn't stay calm with Hazel in the delivery room. He paced back and forth outside.

Allegra couldn't stand it. "George, can you calm down? You're making everyone more anxious."

George glanced at Allegra.

Lucius tried to smooth things over, "Don't worry, it'll be fine. When Allegra gave birth, it took a while, too. Everything will be okay."

But when Allegra was in labor, Lucius was even more frantic than George.

He had wanted to rush into the delivery room to help Allegra himself. Everyone waited outside.

They could hear Hazel's painful cries from the delivery room.

George's fists clenched tighter and tighter.

Everyone could feel the tension.

It was nerve-wracking. Ambrose suddenly reached out and held Kenna's hand.

Kenna was taken aback.

Her attention was still on Hazel's labor.

Ambrose was just thinking that it wouldn't be long before Kenna would be giving birth too. Would it be this painful for her?

He felt a mix of emotions he couldn't describe. Time seemed to drag on.

Hazel's cries grew weaker.

George was at his breaking point. He turned to a nurse, "Go check on the mother and the doctor. If necessary, do a C-section."

"Sir, don't worry. Our doctors will decide the best course of action based on the mother's condition."

"I said, go check!" George's voice rose.

He was trembling.

The nurse didn't dare argue and quickly went into the delivery room.

After a while, the nurse came out, looking nervous.

"What did they say?" George asked anxiously.

"The mother said, um, she said, don't distract her from giving birth," The nurse said, summoning her courage.

Allegra couldn't help but laugh.

The only person who could control George was Hazel.

Just as everyone was immersed in the joy of the new arrival, George's phone rang. He looked at the unfamiliar yet familiar number, frowning.

After a long pause, he slid his finger across the screen. A sweet voice came from the other end. "Marvin, I'm back. You haven't forgotten me, have you?"

George's eyes turned cold. He replied in a low voice, "Ariana, what do you want?"

"I'm not planning anything. But don't you think I deserve something from your child for what you and Hazel owe me?"

As soon as she finished speaking, Ariana hung up. At that moment, the sound of a baby's cry came from the delivery room.
