Chapter 142
Three days before the wedding, the morning was bright and promising. Landon found Sienna in the kitchen eating breakfast and talking with Victoria about final wedding details.
“Come with me,” Landon said, appearing behind her with his hands on her shoulders, gentle and warm.
“Where?” Sienna asked, turning to look at him, curious and amused by the mystery in his voice.
“Surprise,” Landon said, grinning like a child with a secret. “But you have to wear this.” He pulled out a black silk scarf, soft against the skin.
“Blindfold?” Sienna asked, eyebrows raising, skeptical but playful.
“Trust me,” Landon said simply.
“Always,” Sienna replied, standing up and letting him tie the scarf around her eyes, blocking her vision and leaving her in darkness, in his hands, in complete trust.
Victoria watched, smiling, knowing what was coming. She’d kept the secret for days now.
Landon led Sienna out of the kitchen, through the mansion, to the garage and into the car, helping her sit carefully, always protecting her belly, always protecting both of them.
The drive took about twenty minutes. Sienna tried to guess where they were going, using sounds and turns, using everything to figure it out. But she failed, lost completely, trusting him to lead her somewhere good, somewhere safe, somewhere worth waiting for.
The car finally stopped. The engine turned off. The door opened. Landon helped her out onto pavement warm from the sun.
“Can I look yet?” Sienna asked, impatient and excited.
“Not yet,” Landon said, leading her forward slowly and carefully, up steps, through a door, into a space that smelled new and fresh and clean.
They walked through what felt like a large room, their footsteps echoing slightly in the big, almost empty space. Then they stopped. Landon stood behind her, his hands on the blindfold, ready to reveal everything.
“Okay,” he whispered against her ear, his breath warm, his voice nervous and hopeful. “Ready?”
“Yes,” Sienna breathed, her heart pounding, anticipation building.
Landon untied the scarf and pulled it away. Light flooded in. Vision returned.
Sienna blinked, adjusting to the brightness. Then she saw it. Saw everything. Saw a dream made real.
A mansion. A beautiful one. A huge one. In the heart of the city, like he’d promised once, long ago.
The foyer was massive, with marble floors gleaming under sunlight streaming through tall windows that went almost floor to ceiling. A grand staircase swept up to the second floor, its railing elegant dark wood, polished to perfection. A crystal chandelier hung above, sparkling like captured stars brought inside.
“Landon,” Sienna whispered, turning to him, eyes wide, disbelief written all over her face. “What is this?”
“Our home,” Landon said simply, surely, finally. “This is where we’ll build our family.”
Sienna stared at him, processing his words, understanding the meaning, realizing he’d bought this for them, for their future, for everything.
“You bought a mansion?” she asked, her voice shaking, emotions too big to contain.
“I bought our forever,” Landon corrected, taking her hand and leading her further inside. “Come see everything.”
He showed her the living room first, spacious and comfortable, with windows overlooking a private garden in the middle of the city, rare and beautiful and theirs. The kitchen was next, modern and equipped with everything, marble counters and stainless appliances and an island in the center big enough for family meals and memories and life. The dining room was elegant, with a table seating twelve for family gatherings and holidays and shared love.
Then upstairs. The master bedroom was enormous with a king sized bed and an attached balcony with a breathtaking view of the city skyline.
But he wasn’t finished yet. More to show. More to see. More to love.
Landon opened a door at the end of the hallway. The room was flooded with natural light from north facing windows, perfect for art.
“For you,” Landon said, gesturing inside. “Your art studio. Big space like you always wanted. Like you deserve.”
Sienna stepped inside, seeing easels already set up, shelves for supplies, a table for projects. Everything she needed. Everything she’d dreamed about.
Tears started in her eyes. She was overwhelmed by his thoughtfulness, by his love, by him knowing her so well.
“There’s more,” Landon said gently, excited, nervous for this part, the most important part.
He led her to another door right next to the master bedroom, close but separate, the perfect location. He opened the door, revealing a room that made Sienna gasp, her hand flying to her mouth as tears spilled over.
The nursery. Beautiful. Spacious. Made for their baby.
The walls were painted a soft cream color, calming and soothing, perfect for an infant. A crib sat in the center, white wood carved delicately, with a mobile hanging above showing stars and moons, gentle and beautiful. A rocking chair sat by the window, cushioned and comfortable, for late night feedings and lullabies and bonding. A changing table stood against the wall with drawers underneath for clothes and diapers and everything the baby needed. A bookshelf was already filled with children’s books, toys on the lower shelves, stuffed animals arranged carefully.
Everything was ready. Everything was prepared. Everything was waiting for the baby to arrive, to fill the room with life and love and purpose.
Sienna broke completely, sobbing now. Not sad tears. Happy ones. Overwhelmed ones. Grateful ones.
“You did all this?” she asked through tears, looking at Landon, at the man who thought of everything, who planned for their future, who made dreams real.
“For you,” Landon said, wiping her tears gently. “For us. For our family. For the life we’re building together.”
“When?” Sienna asked, needing to know when he’d found time, when he’d planned this, when he’d made magic happen.
“I’ve been working on it for weeks,” Landon admitted. “Since before everything happened with Isabella. I wanted it ready for after the wedding. I wanted to bring you home to our home.”
Sienna threw her arms around him, holding tight, not wanting to let go, not able to express everything she felt in words. Only in touch. Only in love.
“Thank you,” she whispered against his neck, breathing him in. “Thank you for this. For everything. For loving me like this.”
“Always,” Landon promised, holding her back just as tight. “Always and forever.”
They stood like that in the nursery, in their future, in hope made tangible and real and theirs.
Then Sienna pulled back, looking at him. Her eyes were still wet but shining with something else, something deeper, something needing.
She kissed him, urgent and passionate, pouring everything into it. Gratitude. Love. Desire. Everything.
Landon responded immediately, kissing back, his hands going to her waist and pulling her closer despite the belly between them. Despite everything, he wanted her, needed her, loved her.
They stumbled out of the nursery and into the master bedroom across the hall, still kissing, still touching, still completely connected.
They fell onto the bed together, gentle and careful of the baby, always careful, but still passionate, still intense, still real.
Their clothes came off slowly, savoring each moment, each touch, each kiss.
Landon touched her belly first, where the baby grew, where life existed, where their future lived.
“I love you,” he said to her belly, to the baby, to both of them.
Then he looked up at Sienna, at his almost wife, at everything he’d ever wanted.
“And I love you,” he said to her. Only her. Always her.
“Show me,” Sienna whispered, need in her voice, in her eyes, in everything.
And he did. He showed her with his body, with his touch, with everything he had, everything he was, everything he felt.
He made love to her slowly, gently, passionately, all at once, celebrating the house, celebrating their future, celebrating them.
Sienna responded, meeting him, matching him, loving him back with the same intensity, the same passion, the same everything.
Their bodies moved together in a familiar dance, but new every time, different every time, perfect every time.
Whispers of love, of forever, of always passed between kisses, between touches, between moments of pure connection.
Until they both reached their peak together, holding each other through it, calling each other’s names, lost in each other, lost in love, lost in everything right.
Afterward, they lay together, tangled in sheets and in each other, in complete happiness.
Sienna rested her head on Landon’s chest, listening to his heartbeat, steady and strong and hers.
“This is real?” she asked, needing confirmation, needing to know it wasn’t a dream.
“This is real,” Landon confirmed, kissing the top of her head. “All of it. The house. The baby. Us. The wedding on Saturday. Everything real. Everything ours. Everything beginning.”
Sienna smiled against his skin, believing him, believing in them, believing in their future, finally and completely and wholly.
Three days until the wedding. Three days until forever started officially.
But in this moment, in their house, in their bed, in their love, forever had already begun.
