If I only had a sister or perhaps a brother.

Maybe life wouldn't have been this sorrowful for me. It feels like a misdirection…or what I would living like a routine eater.

Sometimes, I want to just leave but then where would I go to?

Roberto's comfort was shaky. Today he is sweet, tomorrow is a beast I don't recognize.

I smiled as I stare at Aria and Joanne as they laid beside each other, deep asleep.

At least it's better I am stuck with them here in this room. It was spacious and full of goodies that could make one fat within seconds.

He literally gave them everything they would want, for their belly of course.

But I doubt the girls rally had time for those sweet candies and all. Thy obviously want more of a motherly love.

Aria opened her slightly and whispered…”Come and sleep beside, Katherina..”

“Oooh…okay, baby girl,” I whispered back.

I went over and she rested her head on my knees and dozed off…or so I thought.

Shortly after, I heard Aria mutter some words but they weren't clear enough. “Why aren't you sleeping, Aria?” I asked in a soft tone.

“I can't. I want to watch the party,” she whispered.

“The Mafia celebration? Oh, come on, you and I know that's a dangerous thing to think. Its not for kids, Aria so you are not allowed to be in there,” I replied.

“But we can….we did that last year when Mom and Dad was at the party. I know a secret route,” she said.

A secret route? Wow….tell me something I don't wanna know.

“And how do you know this place?” I asked out of curiosity.

“Joanne actually got to know about it. I don't know how but she found it and showed it to me. We should wake her,” Aria suggested.

“Uhm….can we get there without waking Joanne?” I voiced and she nodded in response.

Even though it sounded fun and dangerous at the same time. I wasn't just about checking out the party. I wanted to get those documents from the bathroom.

I've been a little bit curious about the burth of Aria and Joanne. Everything feels like they are not Roberto's children but I i can only ascertain if I could get my hands on the document.

“Are we going?”

“Uhm…we have to leave a note for Joanne…” i said.

However there was a big problem. There was a bodyguard standing right outside the door, one of those hefty ones.

“I don't think we can do this, Aria. The bodyguard outside isn't gonna allow us…” I said.

She giggled.

“Nope…we won't have to go through the door. There is a basement that leads to Daddy room and from Daddy room, we can get to the Upper Room..” she explained.

“Wait, what? Are you serious about this?” I smiled.

What a discovery. This just made everything easier for me.

“Let's go…” I said and she gave me a tight hug. “Yku are the best mom I want to have..”

I paused for a moment and I felt emotional that a tear almost dropped down my eye.

What would happen if they ever find out they aren't the parents children??

We went quietly through the basement as planned and in few minutes, we got to Roberto's room.

“Erm…you have to give me a minute,” I said as we came outside through the vent just by the corridor that shows the bathroom.

I rushed and pushed the bathtub aside, and in a flash, took the exact document I needed and kept them hidden underneath my dress.

The plan was to go through them whilst we watch rhe party from wherever.

We entered back through another basement and in the twinkle of an eye, we busted out right on top of what looked like the Upper Room. 

The whole ground was vibrating with the noise from speakers on the inside.

“Over there, we can watch from the top glass and see everything,” Aria said in a her little bird voice.

“This is splendid. You girls are really something, I must say..”

“We have to be careful so we don't get caught…”

It was a peak view. The top of the Upper House was made of a see through glass as its rooftop so one could sit and watch the entire room just from the top.

It was indeed a scene.

Not something I should allow Aria watch but I needed the distraction so I could carefully go through the documents.

Whilst she watched and smiled at the whole thing going on, I brought out the files slowly and skimmed through them.

Soemthing about the Glorious Orphanage.

Another about a change of name from Reah to Lucia.

Then I suddenly stumbled upon a paper record that shows that Reah had a condition that had destroyed her womb hence her inability to give birth.

I kept on looking through then I flipped to a page that shows a pregnancy test which came out positive. 

“This was obviously forged then,” I voiced out loud, forgetting Aria was just few steps from where I was.

“What? What is that Katherina? “ Aria asked.

“This is nothing. Just some files of mine I needed to read through. I have been meaning to but the time and place has been an issue,” I stuttered in her presence. 

She didn't see to be no longer interested in what I was saying after a short while.

“But I thought we were here to watch the celebration, Katherina. You seem distracted by that thing,” she said.

“Oh sorry, darling. I'm here now…Let's  watch together,” I said in a haste.

Too late. I didn't realize one of the file had slipped out from the folder and right on it was written Roberto and Reah's name with their appended signatures.

“What is this and what is adoption, Katherina?” Aria asked the minute she saw the paper out.

Fuck….

Erm…..

Shit, what do I say?

This is trouble.

“Aria, its nothing. Its just some business ideas your dad and mom did some years ago. Erm..I'm trying to know how the business went sonI can do something like that too, do you understand me?” I said with a chuckle.

Hopefully that buys her off.

“Hmmm..okay….” She said.

A sudden vibration around me like it was coming from a phone nearby.

That isn't mine…

“Where is that coming from?”

“Its mine….” Aria said.

“You have a phone? I didn't know that..”

“Its Joanne….if she calls once, it means she needs me..if it's twice then we have to go cause it means trouble!” 

My heart pounced.

The phone vibrated.
