Thalia's POV
I scoffed while I stared at the figure laying on the bed. I walked closer to the mattress and yanked the bedsheet off her.
My eyes widened when I saw she was in only a thong and a shirt. She squinted her eyes at me, as she placed her hand to cover her body.
“Thalia!” I heard my name, followed by Rhys coming and pulling the bedsheet, covering Savena’s half-naked body.
I shifted back. What the hell?
How was she able to put on a black shirt so quickly?
Or was she was not the one?
no.
It cannot be. I shook my head.
I had seen white clothes, or was I mistaken? I stared at her face, but she did not look at me.
“Can someone explain what’s going on here?” Rhys shifted, facing all of us.
But we all kept mute. I eyed her for a moment longer before walking out of the room.
I honestly, had a lot to say. But there was no way I could say it because…
I walked to the living room.
I paced the room, laughing sarcastically as I pulled my hair. I wanted to yell, hit something, do anything to ease my frustrations right now.
Stupid me had held hope, thinking I would catch her and expose her so Rhys would see who she really was, and now? I did not think I could anymore. I had just made a typical fool of myself.
“Thalia,” I heard a calm voice behind me, making me halt my frustration stroll. I turned, facing Blaze, who stood a few steps away from me.
I blinked, staring at him, “Blaze, did you see that? She fucking played us!” I whispered-yelled as my eyes welled up.
I pointed at myself. “I failed, Blaze,” I hiccupped. “She won once again,” I whispered as a single tear fell from my face. “Now Rhys thinks I'm a trouble maker. A liar.”
I really wanted to save my Rhys from her, and now I felt like I had failed the one person who had always cared for me.
“Come here,” Blaze murmured, folding his arms.
I sniffed as I walked sluggishly towards him. Blaze opened his arms wide when I got to where he stood.
With tears in my eyes, I placed my head on his chest. I felt Blaze’s hand wrap around my back, patting me gently.
“You don’t have to feel bad Thali,” I heard his low voice, that kind of sent soothing energy to me.
I raised my hands and wrapped them around his waist as I continued sobbing.
“I noticed she didn’t have a scent either,” Blaze said.
I pulled away instantly, staring at his face. “You see, I wasn’t lying. I fucking knew it.”
He nodded. True thalia. True.
“But what does that mean?” I asked Blaze, who wore a frown on his face.
“It was a rare case. I had never witnessed that. I would have to ask Father about it,” Blaze said as he looked down at my face.
He raised his hand and wiped my tears. “You don’t have to cry. We will figure this out together, okay?” Blaze said with a calm voice. As his hand cupped my chin.
I nodded as a small smile laced my face. But before he could move, I wrapped my hands around his waist, stopping him from leaving. I never knew Blaze could be sweet too because I had only seen him as authoritative, commanding and rigid.
We didn't stay in the same position for too long before the other two boys walked in, clearing their throats.
I pulled away from Blaze, I smiled at them. I saw Milo sit on the sofa, while Jax went to get his laptop on the table.
I was pulled by Blaze, who took me to the chair and let me sit beside him.
“But I could have sworn I heard a sound,” Milo was the first to speak as he stared into space.
“Me too,” Jax said with furrowed brows.
I sighed. “We all heard the sound, and I’m sure it was Savena,” I said as I clenched my fist tightly.
“We have all seen she wasn’t who we thought she was. We need to act fast,” Milo murmured as he placed his hand on his head, staring at our faces.
“But Rhys…” Jax said as he massaged his head.
Well, that was the fucking problem. We all found out about Savena, but Rhys is still in the dark about all this.
“I will call Father. I’ll find out what Savena could possibly be, but before that I will have to send Rhys to Father,” Blaze said calmly as he placed his hand on my clenched fist.
We all nodded. Then Blaze stepped to the other side, making a call, while Milo just played on his phone, and as for Jax, he was glued to the laptop.
I breathed heavily. Ever since Savena came into this house, we had not had a single peace of mind.
Suddenly, Blaze pulled me out of the couch. I was about to ask why he pulled me up when we heard Jax’s voice.
“Guys! I think I found a witch,” Jax blurted, staring intently at the screen on his thigh.
My heart skipped. I totally forgot about the witch stuff. “Really?” Milo asked surging behind him.
Blaze left my hand as he sat on the couch, while I just stood my eyes glued on Jax.
“Ask if we can meet up with her,” Blaze uttered, staring at Jax. Then he turned towards me. “Sit,” Blaze said, patting the space beside him.
Without paying too much attention to his somehow clingy gestures, I sat beside him.
I watched Jax, who typed aggressively on the keyboard. Then he breathed heavily as he smiled at all of us.
“She agreed,” he uttered, staring at us before he placed his laptop back on the table.
“Okay, that’s nice. When do we meet?” Milo asked, sitting up and staring at Jax. Even I was curious, so I shifted my full attention to Jax.
“Tomorrow,” Jax blurted as he scratched his neck with a sheepishly smile.
My eyes widened. “Tomorrow??”
He had just met the witch today, and he had already scheduled the meeting for tomorrow.
I could already feel my hands sweaty. I rubbed them on my thighs.
“You don’t have to feel nervous,” I heard Blaze’s cool voice in my ear, making my body jump as I snapped my eyes toward him.
Our gazes locked. “We will all go to meet her together tomorrow,” Blaze said as he shifted away from me.
“What about Rhys?” Milo asked with a low voice and a sigh.
We all fell into silence once again. That was another problem, because if we took Rhys with us, there was a chance he would bring Savena with him. And leaving them alone at home was a big NO!
“I will come up with something before the day ends, but for now,” Blaze paused as he stood, “Thalia, come with me,” Blaze said, dragging me out of the living room.
My eyes widened. “Why… where are you taking me?” I asked as I struggled to match his pace.
His steps halted as he turned towards me. “Have you forgotten what we planned on doing today?” he
asked, staring at me with a serious gaze.
My brows furrowed in confusion. What did we plan on doing today? I don’t fucking remember.
Blaze just shook his head, then he gave me a light knock on my head. “We were going to train, dummy,” he said as he continued dragging me out of the room.
