Chapter 194 194
Chapter 194 194
Lorien POV
“What did I miss?” I asked, breathless, as Auren marched straight past his siblings and into the pack house. I wasn’t complaining being wrapped around him was the last thing I’d object to but I hadn’t expected to learn that he’d thrown his own best friends into the dungeon. No matter how much I despised them, it was still shocking.
“I protect what’s mine,” he said simply, carrying me up the stairs without a single hint of struggle, like my weight didn’t even register.
A cold knot formed in my stomach. “Did they hurt someone?” My first thought was Lior. Rion had said he was sleeping and doing well, and that should have calmed me, but fear had a way of ignoring logic. Had Lior finally woken from the curse? I’d have to wait until morning to know for sure.
“Not yet.”
His fingers tightened on my ass, and his arousal pressed directly between my legs. A shiver shot down my spine. Goddess, I wanted him desperately but beneath all of that hunger, there was something else. Concern.
It couldn’t have been easy to imprison Lucen and Lysandra. If he’d done it, they must have crossed a line so unforgivable that even their history didn’t matter anymore.
“Then why” I started, but the question dissolved the moment he spun us into our bedroom and pinned me back against the door. His mouth brushed mine, warm and demanding, and my racing thoughts turned to smoke.
“You’re mine,” he growled, voice rough, primal. “I protect what’s mine.”
I didn’t understand what they could’ve done to me while I’d been unconscious but right now, confusion drowned beneath the surge of heat rushing through me. His possessiveness didn’t scare me it ignited something deep, something wild.
My bare core slid against the damp fabric of his pants, and I felt myself throb, aching for him. My hands tangled in his hair as he rocked his hips forward, slow but deliberate, pushing pleasure through me in waves. He braced one palm against the door beside my head, breath harsh, body fever-hot.
“Yours,” I whispered.
“Fucking right.” His eyes were black taken over by his beast and his voice was barely human when he spoke again. “We’re not leaving this room until I’ve made you mine in every way.”
A helpless sound escaped me as my head tipped back, panties long gone, thighs tightening around his waist, trying to pull him closer, needing friction needing him inside me. His desire for me was intoxicating, a drug I couldn’t resist. Part of me wanted to sink my teeth into him and mark him as mine in return.
I’d settle for anything, as long as he didn’t stop.
“I don’t like you wearing another man’s scent,” he snarled, eyes dropping to the oversized shirt one of the Fae had given me. His fist closed around the collar and with one brutal tug, he tore the thin fabric clean off.
A chill swept over my skin, goosebumps rising everywhere but I couldn’t tell if it was from the air or the raw, feral hunger burning in his eyes.
“Then maybe,” I whispered, pressing my breasts to his chest and kissing along his jaw, “we should go take a shower.”
His breath hitched. “I don’t know if I can wait that long, Little Fairy.” He thrust his hips forward, his cock grinding against my clit perfectly, ripping a moan from my throat.
“I’m not asking you to wait,” I breathed. “Take me in the shower.”
That was all it took. He turned immediately, carrying me into the bathroom. I dragged my mouth along his neck licking, kissing, biting the places I knew made him growl.
I tugged at his shirt while he switched the water on, ripping the buttons open and running my hands over his chest, his abs, every hard line of him.
“Lorien,” he groaned, grabbing the back of my head and pulling me into a kiss that stole the air from my lungs. His tongue met mine, hot and hungry, and I whimpered into his mouth as the steam filled the room and his body pressed me tighter against the shower wall.
