The alpha's decree

Leah's POV

I was overwhelmed with desperation as I dropped to my knees, my hands joined together in a pleading gesture. "Alpha, I beg you please," My voice shaking with emotion. "I have to go. I haven't seen or heard from my parents for a month now. I have to see them, make sure they're okay."

For a moment, I thought I saw something flicker in his eyes—doubt, hesitation, perhaps even guilt. But then it was gone, replaced by the cold, unyielding Alpha I’d come to know.

Keal's face remained unchange, his eyes still fixed on me with an unnerving intensity. "You're not going anywhere, Leah," I've told, his voice firm and unyielding.

I felt a surge of frustration ignite within me. "But I'm done with my job," I protested, trying to keep my tone even. "I've healed your wounds, helped you recover. You don't need me here anymore."

Keal's lips curled into a slow smile, his eyes sparkling with amusement.

“You think you’re done with your job?” His voice was calm, but there was a threatening bite on it that made my stomach churn.

"You're not done with your job, Leah," he said, his voice dripping with condescension. "You still have a lot to do. And you'll leave only when I feel you've satisfied me, when you've performed your task to my satisfaction."

I felt a chill run down my spine as I held his gaze, my mind racing with confusion. What did he mean? What task was I supposed to perform again? "What is it?" I asked, my voice barely above a whisper.

Keal's smile grew wider, his eyes gleaming with a sinister light. "From now on, Leah, you'll be my personal servant," he said, his voice dripping with authority. "You'll attend to me, do everything I want, whenever and wherever I want it. You'll be mine, completely and totally mine."

I felt as if  I'd been struck in my stomach, my breath caught."What do you mean?" I asked, my mind spinning in horror.

Keal's eyes seemed to burn with an inner fire as he leaned forward, his voice dropping to a mere whisper. "I mean you'll obey my every command, Leah. Everything. You'll be my servant, my slave, my plaything. You'll have sex with me anytime, anywhere, and anyhow I want it. You'll be mine, body and soul."

I felt a wave of shock wash ove me, my mind recoiling in fear.

I couldn't believe what I was hearing, couldn't believe what Keal was asking of me. I felt like I was trapped in a nightmare, with no way to escape.

And then, something within me broke. I felt a rush of anger and defiance, a determination to resist Keal's demands, no matter what. I rose from my knees, my eyes locked on Keal's, my voice strong and determined.

The words hit me like a slap, and I froze, staring at him in disbelief. “What?”

“You heard me,” he said, stepping even closer until I could feel the heat radiating from his body. “You’ll attend to me. Do everything I want. Everything I want.”

“No,” I whispered, shaking my head. “You can’t—”

“I can,” he interrupted sharply. “And I will.”

"It's not possible," I said, my words full of determination. "I refuse to do it. I won't be your servant, your slave, your plaything. I won't have sex with you again, not now, not ever."

Keal's gaze drilled  into me as I stood firm, my chest heaving with the intensity of my resistance. His jaw tightened, and for a brief moment, I feared I’d finally pushed him too far. But instead of lashing out, he took a slow, deliberate step closer, his lips twisting into a smirk that made my stomach churn.

“You started this, Leah,” he said, his voice low and threatening, like a hunter stalking its prey.

“What?” My voice wavered under the weight of his statement.

He leaned closer, his eyes locked on mine.  “Don’t play innocent with me. What are you trying to deny? Do you want to deny that you don't feel it too? That spark you ignited the moment our eyes met. Do you even know what you’ve done to me? And now—” his voice rose, anger mixed with something I couldn’t quite place, “—now you think you can just walk away? Just like that?”

“I have don't know what you’re talking about,” I shot back, my voice shaking but steady enough to convey my disbelief.

His eyes narrowed, and for a moment, I thought I saw a hint of weakness, but it vanished quickly,  replaced by that same infuriating arrogance. “Don’t lie to me, Leah. You felt it too. That connection, that pull. It’s why I can’t let you go.”

I recoiled, shaking my head in denial. “Is that why you forced yourself on me the first day I got here?” My voice faltered under the weight of the memory, raw and unhealed. “Is that why you think you can turn me into your plaything now?”

His jaw tightened, but he didn’t flinch. “I don’t care,” he replied.

“Whatever it is, I will find out what that spark is all about.”

“You’re out if your mind” I retorted, the words spilling out before I could hold them.

He moved so quickly I didn't have time to react. In an instant, he was inches away, towering over me, his presence was overwhelming. “Careful, Leah,” he warned. “Do not test my patience again as you just did.”

I opened my mouth to reply, to scream, to cry, to do anything that would match the storm brewing within me, but he cut me off with a single, commanding gesture.

“That’s enough,” he said, his voice sharp and unyielding. “Get out of my office. Now.”

I stood still, my feet glued to the ground as his words sank in.

His eyes darkened, his lips curling into a cold smile. “And Leah,” he added, his voice dropping to a near whisper that sent chills down my spine, “get prepared for me tonight.”

The room felt like it was closing in on me, but I forced myself to keep my head high as I turned on my heel and walked out, each step heavier than the last.

I could feel his gaze burning into my back, the weight of his unspoken threat following me long after I left his office. My hear raced in my chest, the realization settling in: whatever spark he was chasing, it was about to ignite a fire that could consume us both.
