Chapter 81: Save her soul
Logan’s pov
“I will need Logan for that” she said pointing at me and I looked at her confused.
“The spell Amber used on you; it is linked to her magic. If her magic is gone then you can be killed” she said, and I looked at her confused.
“What does that have to do with brother?
Amber has already made brother someone who can’t be killed.
He will only die when the lifespans of all the people Amber killed ends” Amy said.
“Yes the last part is true, but him not being killed is linked to Amber’s magic.
I would say that her magic is his shield, if she loses it then the shield will disappear” she explained.
“That does make sense, she did it so he wouldn’t be able to kill her.
Because if she died then you could be killed,
it was her insurance policy but why not mention it when I was taking away the magic?” Reene asked.
“Wait you have already taken away her magic?” Eliabeth asked and we nodded.
“It was probably her way to get revenge, to let me walk around thinking I can’t be killed” I said, and Amy scoffed.
“To get you cocky and get you all killed” Amy said.
“Sounds like something she would do, but what does Logan have to do with Reene?” Harry asked Elizabeth.
“Well since you can be killed and she can’t, I want to link you two” she said but before she could finish Amy had gotten up.
“What the hell is wrong with you?
First Reene wants to die and now you want to kill Logan?
Am I the only one who thinks this is ridiculous?
Why are we even entertaining it?” Amy asked.
“I agree with Amy, you must have another way. Please tell me you do; it shouldn’t involve Logan” Reene said.
“I am sorry, there isn’t another way, I wish there was” Elizabeth said.
“Listen Reene, you are my daughter and I know I didn’t raise you.
But I do love you and care about you.
That is why I left you with mom, because I knew she would take care of you” she said with tears in her eyes. “I thought that if you were raised by her and not us then you would have a better life.She would be able to give you so much love that will suppress the darkness” Elizabeth said.
“She did give me love, she did support me and for the longest time I was able to suppress the darkness” Reene said to her.
“I don’t care about her so life story, find a way that will help Reene and Logan not kill them” Amy said.
“Relax Amy, Logan wont agree to it” Harry said, and everyone looked at me.
“Hell, no Logan, even I don’t agree with this. You aren’t considering this are you?” Reene asked me.
“I am not considering it” I said and heard everyone sigh in relief.
“I am going to do it” I said, and Reene looked at me and shook her head.
“We need to talk” she said and rushed to my office, and I followed her.
“No, no, no, no, no. I am not letting you die with me. never Logan do you hear me?” she said, and I looked at her.
“What? What happened? What’s wrong?” she asked me.
“When you died I couldn’t eat anything for weeks.
I couldn’t get out of bed, when I woke up I had to remind myself how to breath” I said.
“I wished I had died with you that day. I hated you for unlinking us because I wanted to die with you” I told her.
“You were dead, and it felt as if I was nothing.
As if I didn’t exist,
I cant go through that for another moment and I don’t want you to do through that” I said and then held her hands.
“Reene till death do us part” I said, and she started sobbing.
“What is wrong with you? You can’t die, why don’t you want to live?” she asked me.
“Because I don’t exist unless you do, please Reene lets die together” I said, and she sobbed even more.
Even I couldn’t hold back my tears.
“I don’t want you to live in pain” she said and kissed my forehead.
“Then let me do this for you, I agreed to let you die. So please let me die with you” I said.
“Fine” she said, “really Reene? You let his little speech tug your heart strings?” Amy asked as she opened the door.
Everyone else was waiting with her outside listening to our conversation.
“We are not going to let this happen, tell them guys. Tell them that these two should look for another solution” Amy said.
“Yes, lets look for something else” Sean said while Alexa nodded.
They all looked at Harry who shook his head.
“I agree with Logan, I have lost the love of my life and went through what he did.
It kills me to know that I still have to live even for a long time now.
I am counting down the days for when I can finally die” Harry said.
“What? You agree with this?” Amy asked looking at Harry.
I looked at Sean.
“had you been in my shoes, choosing to save Alexa’s soul or your own life. What choice would you make?” I asked him.
“I would save her soul no matter what” she said and then looked at Alexa who looked at Reene.
I noticed that Reene was looking at them with a smile.
“Fine, fine save her soul okay” Amy said and then broke down crying.
“Can I talk to her just alone?” I asked them and they nodded and left.
“I love her, and I love you, you have lived for me for so long.
We have lived for each other for so long and now I have met someone who I want to die for” I said.
“Yes I understand brother, but it still hurts and is hard to accept” she said, and I smiled.
I took her hand in mind.
“now I want you to live, you heard her.
You only have a few centuries if not one left, I want you to fall in love.
Have kids, live, and have the time of your life.
Dream of the dreams you have dreamt all those years ago” I said.
“Do you think I still can do it?” she asked me, and I smiled and hugged her.
“I think you can do anything, now go out there my dear sister.
Be the Lycan Queen, lead with kindness and fix all our mistakes” I said, and she nodded.
“Now go out there and save her soul” she said, and I nodded as we went downstairs.
I found Elizabeth and Reene hugging each other.
“thank you for forgiving me” Elizabeth said.
I guess they talked it out.
“I want to call Viola first, then we can do the spell” Reene said.
I gave her my phone and she dialled Viola’s number.
“Reene is that really you?” Viola asked crying and Reene started sobbing as well.
“I am sorry for what I did” Viola said.
“it’s okay, you wanted to get revenge for your parents.
And Amber probably got into your head, I forgive you.
But you also need to forgive me for falling in love with the man who killed your mother” she said.
“You don’t choose who you love, the heart wants what it wants” Viola said.
They spoke for a few more minutes and when Reene hanged up she looked at me.
“Are you ready to save my soul?” she asked me. I realized why she and Amy are saying it like that.
Because when you say it like that it sounds positive.
I smiled at this, and we sat down as Elizabeth prepared the spell.
“Remember what you told me that day? About if you were born human?” I asked Reene and she smiled.
“The beach house, the pouch swing, lots of flowers and a door with lavender flowers on it” she said with a smile.
“Do that, I will search every island and all the places near the beach, and I will find you” I said, and she laughed.
“You said to narrow it down, probably somewhere with lots of rain. I love rain” she said.
“That sounds like a really horribly bright house” Harry said, and everyone laughed at this.
“I looked outside; shall we at least watch the sun set?” I asked her and she smiled.
We walked to our picnic spot.
“I can’t watch” Amy said.
“Goodbye everyone, take care of each other okay?” Reene said.
“Please find Connor, and please save his soul as well. He is my little brother; I feel bad that I didn’t save him” I said, and they all nodded.
They left us and we sat down, I held Reene in my eyes, and we just sat in silence.
“I hope the universe doesn’t hate us as much as it did in this life” she said.
“It doesn’t matter, I will come to you even if the universe tries to stop me” I said, and she chuckled.
I took the knife and placed it to my heart, Reene looked at me and smiled.
“Thank you for saving my soul and keeping your promise, find me in the next life dear husband” she said.
“I will find you no matter where you go little frog” I said, and she smiled, and her eyes went dark and soon after so did mine.
