CHAPTER ONE HUNDRED AND SIXTY-FIVE
AURON'S P.O.V
"If you say so." He shrugged, leaning back on his seat, "But if you need any help, don't forget to reach out to me.."
"Us. Reach out to us, Kieran." Lucian gritted at him. Kieran just rolled his eyes and pointed at him.
"What he said. Are we done here?" He looked at Aurora, she nodded with a shrug.
"Yeah, pretty much. We just have to send them off today." She pointed at Mirabel.
"And me too." I added.
She looked at me, her eyes wide.
"You want to leave today?"
"Babe, I think its best he gets this over with. Stalling is not going to fix it." Lycian told her.
She nodded slowly, still staring at me, I gave her a weak smile.
"Fine, but remember, if you need us you call. In fact, call us even if you don't need us, I won't allow you to handle this alone."
"I'm sure he was handling his life perfectly before you found out so this will not be a biggie to him." Lucian muttered, she cleared her throat and glared at him, he immediately shook his head in panic. "But then again, who knows when something crazy might just happen, he definitely needs to call us. Make sure you call us." He made the last sentence to me in a desperate voice.
"No problem."
I nodded, definitely not about to argue against her lest she settles that scary glare on me.
"Okay, I'm off to bed now. I'll miss you guys, have a good travel back home, we'll see each other again. " Kieran stood up, bidding his unenthusiastic goodbyes to Mirabel and her family while making his way out of the dinning room. Kale let out a tired sigh and stood up with a forced smile.
"He's a delight, isn't he? My life. I'm going to miss you guys so much, I had so much fun with you all. I hope to see you guys next time. Gotta go check up on him." He waved then hurried after him.
"He's going through so much with him, huh?" Griffin remarked, the first thing he was saying since I came down here.
"What can we say? He choose him as his best friend and he"s the beta, he has no choice but to manage him."
"Mmm." Griffin hummed, "Just like I manage you and your excesses." He took a sip of his coffee, looking away from him with side eyes.
"You know what you did." Lucian growled, flicking bread crumbs at him which he just brushed off with his hands.
"We'll go take our shower and get ready to leave. The elders are already expecting us to be there before the end of today." Mirabel grumbled.
"Sometimes, I wonder who is the alpha, me or them. With they way they pressure me too much, one would think they have all the power in the pack." Eli grumbled after her. Ariel chuckled and caressed his hair, letting it scatter through her fingers.
"You said they are your subjects and you want to keep them happy if you want to have peace."
"Urgh! I'm tired of trying to keep them happy. They never get satisfied no matter what I do."
"Then why don't you show them who's the boss you are their alpha, they should answer to you, not you to them." Lucian shrugged, finishing off his coffee.
"I can't do..." Eli made to argue with that bit then he paused, tilting his head to the ceiling as if he was thinking about it. Then he snapped his fingers, a bright expression on his face.
"Yeah, you're right. I'm the alpha, I'm not the one who's supposed to be stressed, they are. Gosh..." He laughed, shaking his head, his face slightly with inspiration."...I've been so busy and occupied with trying to win their favour and making them happy that I forgot I am the alpha. The overall supreme leader of the pack. My father was well feared and respected because he took no nonsense from them, and I will show hem I can be like that too. This marks the end of their tyranny. Mirabel, Shawn, Jake and babe, prepare, for we have some lesson to teach the elders." He stood up energetically and pulled Ariel along with him.
"Really? All it took was you saying something?" Shawn suddenly blurted, a look of annoyance on his face as he stared at Lucian then glanced at Mirable. "I've been telling him that ever since he became alpha but he never listened to me. And he suddenly listens to you?"
Lucian winked at him, crossing his arms on his chest.
"That's because I'm an alpha, I know the ropes. No hard feelings there, Shawn."
He sighed and rested against his chair, shaking his head.
"Its no big deal, at least he's going to work in the elders, that's a good sign. Come on Mir, let's go prepare too."
"Let's go." She agreed and let him pull her up, I watched silent as they left.
Jake finally stuffed all the remaining bread in his mouth, swallowed with difficulty.
"Alright, I'll go prepare too. See ya." He ran off.
"That child has the mibd of a young boy still in his adolescence." Eleanor smiled as she watched him, "Isn't he cute?"
"Yes mom, he's cute but I'm also here. Your son and I'm cute too." Lucian pouted.
"You are cute my boy, stop being childish." She scolded while still smiling at him.
"But I thought you said you didn't like being called cute?" Aurora asked with a smile, he blinked at her in a way that was meant to look sexual, she blushed.
"Because to you, I want to only be a sexy beast in your eyes." He growled.
"Lucian!" She squealed, hitting his arms while blushing red, they stared at each other with heat in their eyes.
I couldn't help grinning at the sight, even though it made me a bit uncomfortable to think that my sister was already having sex, isn't she too young for that? Oh wait, we're twins, she's old enough. I stood up, feeling the need to be alive for a while.
"I'll be going to my room to get ready too, see you later."
I bade them bye, that's if they were even paying me any attention, Talia and Griffin at least smiled and waved back.
"Okay honey, don't mind these two lovebirds over here." Eleanor called out with a grin. "At this rate, my grandkids will arrive soon."
I almost stumbled as she said that, I never thought of that. If she gets pregnant and gives birth, I'll...I'll be an uncle! How exciting that would be!!!
