Chapter 7 Stolen Tastes
Kaizer left the room, even the other two guys. And when the three of them had completely left, Astrid spoke again.
"It looks like we have no choice, we will stay in this room together until you fully turn into a vampire. We can't let you be alone with Kaizer, you probably heard our conversation?"
I just nodded at them. It's embarrassing, when we were just talking earlier, I almost rejected Kaizer. But if they hadn't come..
"It's going to be dawn, we probably need to sleep too."
I immediately peeked out the window. The sun is starting to rise.
"What about me? I won't be able to sleep," I said to them, who were starting to lie down on the bed.
Astrid quickly pulled me, and I found myself in the middle of the two of them. I was also lying on the bed.
"You'll also be carried away by sleep, day is night for vampires. While we're awake at night. Yes, we can not sleep, but I guess we're used to it like this," Enid explained to me.
"Don't worry, we won't burn in the sun of this world. It doesn't fully rise, the morning here is just like afternoon in your world."
There's a lot more I want to know about the new world I'll be living in. Even if I don't accept it, there's nothing I can do.
"What is Kaizer saying about years? Isn't it just one year that he looked for my blood?" I asked, wondering.
"It was 7 years, Saera."
I immediately got up at Astrid's answer.
"Kaizer was chained for seven years?! What the hell? You left your brother in that dark place?!"
The two of them lazily pulled me to lie down on the bed again.
"We'd rather have him chained in that dark place than have him sentenced to death by the council because of his thirst for your blood. His thirst is no joke, Saera, so you should understand him."
What is it about this mark that it has this effect on Kaizer?
"If that's the case, how old is Kaizer?" I asked them. The two women laughed at my question.
"We don't count our age anymore. One year in your world is seven years here. Maybe if we count, he's just 21 years old in your world."
I just pouted at what Astrid said. What if Kaizer was in our world? What would he be? He must be a goddamn hot bachelor item, who women would be fighting over. A sexy businessman? Too common; maybe it's more fitting for him to be a dentist. Oh damn, sexy dentist.
"We're several times older than you, Saera. And the moment you fully become a vampire, you won't count your years anymore," Enid said, laughing.
I got lost in our conversation because of what I was thinking about Kaizer.
"Can I visit my grandmother?" I asked them.
"Talk to Kaizer, he hid the mirror," Astrid quickly replied.
"I have a lot more questions."
I thought the two of them would still answer when I noticed that their eyes were closed.
"Dimitri will explain everything to you," Enid said softly while her eyes were closed.
I waited for them to fall into a deep sleep before I thought of getting out of bed and leaving the room. Even though it's almost morning, the whole castle is still very dark.
"Where are you going?" I almost jumped at Elliot's voice, who was standing near the door.
"I need fresh air," I replied briefly.
When I tried to take another step, I cursed when I was suddenly hit by a very cold wind that I didn't know where it came from. I tried to fix my messy hair because of the strong wind. Shit, what is happening? I looked for the nearest window to close it, but Elliot's red eyes were what I immediately noticed. It's coming from him.
"Stop it, stop it, Elliot."
When I said this, the wind hitting my body suddenly disappeared.
"What else do you need?"
Why are the vampires here like this? I can't understand their temperaments. Their actions are changing, I thought Elliot, who is Enid's twin, was just serious and didn't care. Why are they like this? Is this how the vampires I'll be dealing with are?
"You must be hungry. Follow me."
He started walking, which I followed. I couldn't stop the hairs on my paintings hanging on every wall I passed from standing on end, they seemed like they would move unexpectedly.
"Where is Kaizer?" I asked him.
"My siblings are calming him down," he replied briefly.
When we arrived at their huge dining room, the uniformed staff immediately bowed when they saw Elliot, and when I entered, they all suddenly knelt as if I were a goddess who needed to be respected.
"You may leave."
Before I could blink, the people who were kneeling earlier suddenly disappeared from my sight.
"Sit down," he said coldly, which I immediately obeyed again.
He didn't say anything until our food arrived. And I was very grateful that I wasn't seeing the innards I was thinking of now. To be honest, I'm also getting hungry.
"Eat."
I just nodded at what he said. I thought I would like the food served to me now because of the hunger I was feeling, but I seemed too lazy to eat because of the eyes watching me now.
"Why aren't you eating too?" I asked him. Is he just going to watch me eat?
"I'm full."
I couldn't answer him. What else should I say?
I was about to focus on my food again when I caught sight of two vampires in front of me. The newly arrived vampire's feet were currently on the table while he kept moving his chair like a rocking chair. I can't explain why I have a bad feeling about the bread knife that his hands are playing with.
I suddenly got nervous, this isn't good. Kaizer..
"Kaizer seems crazy when he tasted that woman's blood. I wonder how her blood tastes."
I just gripped the spoon and fork I was using tightly.
"I think, I need to go.."
When I was about to stand up, I just gasped when I felt a pain from my right cheek.
My eyes widened when I saw that the bread knife that the new vampire was holding was gone. My hands were trembling when I touched the small pain on my cheek. And when I looked at the hand I used, I immediately saw the blood from my cheek.
Fuck. He threw the bread knife at me.
My chest started pounding; I was feeling a different kind of nervousness. When I looked at the two vampires, they were gone from their seats. Where are they?
I couldn't say anything when someone covered my mouth. I was struggling, but the vampire currently holding me was too strong.
"Let me wipe that blood for you," he whispered to me.
I just gasped when I felt his tongue on my cheek. Damn. Kaizer… Kaizer, where are you? Help me. Save me.
"Chase, don't drink too much," I heard Elliot say, who was currently holding my right hand.
He's gonna bite me!
I felt the vampire named Chase tilt my head. I even felt Elliot’s tongue.
Damn. No. No. No.
My tears were falling as I struggled against them.
Kaizer, help me…
