Chapter 18 Snow Storm Moments
I woke up because of the cold I was feeling. Why is the weather so cold?
Cold? I immediately got up and went to the window and the moment I opened it, I was greeted by small drops of snow because of the wind blowing here.
I quickly closed the window again. Why is there a snow storm? I hurried to the big cabinet to get thick clothes for myself. Is Kaizer behind this again?
When I left my room, two servants greeted me.
"Your breakfast is ready."
Breakfast? Isn't it night again? Anyway, the day and night here are different. We arrived at the kitchen again, and my grandfather was currently eating.
"How was your sleep, granddaughter?" he greeted me.
"It was okay, is the snow storm real?" I asked, surprised.
"Only the second prince of Wisteria can create such a strong snowfall. Did you argue, dear? He told me to teach you how to cut off your ability to talk in your minds. Is that true?"
I nodded slowly. But my forehead furrowed when my grandfather laughed.
"You are really Luciana's granddaughter, she also cut off our communication before. I can't blame you for wanting to because it's not natural for people to talk in their minds."
I hope Kaizer also understands that.
"You can shut the link easily, dear. Just control your mind."
What?
"Control my mind? How? I don't know," I said, confused.
"You will learn on your own, dear. I can't really teach you, I don't even know why the naughty prince is ordering me. I never wanted that prince for you, Saera."
Why are they so angry with each other?
"I want him, Grandpa.." I whispered softly.
"Yes, I know. There's nothing I can do, he is your mate. Now eat."
I just nodded to my grandfather. I thought that vampires didn't eat human food, but it seems like there's no difference except that we just drink blood.
A servant approached me and poured fresh blood from her glass pitcher.
"You can also drink blood that is not from Kaizer, dear. You can also not eat, blood itself can make you survive. But because you lived in the world of humans, maybe you will never lose their food."
I nodded at what my grandfather said.
"What about you, Grandpa? Were you also born in my world?"
He shook his head at me.
"I see, but how did you get used to our food?" I asked, surprised.
"Because of your grandmother."
"Grandpa, why did you and Grandma separate?"
He put down his spoon and fork here. He smiled softly at me, but it didn't reach his eyes.
"I don't want to talk about it, dear. I'm sorry."
Fuck. Did I ask the wrong question?
"It's okay, Grandpa, I'm sorry."
My grandfather stood up and said goodbye to me.
"Eat a lot, dear, and the moment you see the second prince, please tell him that the king of Aetherio will also show up soon because of the non-stop snowfall throughout the empire, he might be sent back to Wisteria with his brothers."
"I'm sorry, Grandpa."
My grandfather didn't answer me before he disappeared. Damn, I shouldn't have said anything about my grandmother.
After I finished breakfast, I started walking around again to look for the Lancasters. Where could those siblings be?
I went to the terrace where I saw Kaizer yesterday, but when I arrived, there wasn't even a shadow of him. I tried to call him using my mind, but I couldn't get an answer.
I noticed that the snowfall was gradually weakening, and the wind wasn't that strong anymore. I just rested my chin on my hand on the terrace while looking at the vastness of the place full of very white snow.
"Good evening, my lady."
"Kaizer!"
I just screamed when he lifted me up. He was currently standing where he was sitting yesterday, and it seemed like he was planning something.
"Don't tell me.." I screamed completely when he jumped off the very high floor.
He's crazy! I felt like my stomach was turning upside down because of the height he jumped from.
"Kaizer! You're going to kill me! You shameless vampire! I don't like you anymore! I hate you!"
I heard him laughing as I kept stomping, but I wasn't hitting anything. Why does my back feel so cold? When I opened my eyes, I could only see the dark sky with a few stars.
I was currently lying on the very thick snow. And I couldn't see the stars anymore when Kaizer, smiling, slowly blocked them. We're in opposite position.
"I made a snow storm for us to play and cuddle."
I just closed my eyes when he kissed my forehead.
"The entire Aetherio was hit by a snow storm, Kaizer. You're so impossible.." I said and just rolled my eyes.
"Am I?"
I screamed again when I felt my body slightly roll along with his. He's too fast, just a while ago we were in opposite positions. Now he's smiling and staring at me, and he's slowly brushing my very long hair.
"You're so beautiful.."
He was staring at me tenderly, as if I was the most beautiful fanged woman in this world. I never thought that I would have such a handsome flirt in my life. This heart of mine, Kaizer, is slowly melting because of your words and looks.
"Aren't you cold, Kaizer?"
My voice was almost trembling, not because of the cold, but because of what he was doing to me.
"No. Saera, I'm sorry about that-"
I stopped him from speaking.
"Sshhh, I know I'm the one who's wrong, Kaizer. I don't know your way of life to say such things. I'm so irrational, I'm so sorry. I am no longer living in my world. I should learn to adopt your culture. I should adjust."
"But I forced you, I'm so sorry, Saera."
I closed my eyes again when he kissed the tip of my nose.
"Look around, I made numbers of snowman."
He remained blocking me above, so I only moved my head to see.
"Can't we stand? Or we're just lay here?"
He shook his head at me.
"I want to see your beautiful hair spreading on my snow. I want your body on my snow."
Damn. Doesn't Kaizer know what he's doing to me? When I looked away from him, I finally saw the number of snowmen he was making.
"Oh, Kaizer.."
I quickly put my hands on his nape. How can I stay away from a man like him? How can I still think about going back to the world I grew up in? if this prince always does this to me.
"Do you know the 'human kiss'?"
He raised his eyebrow at me.
"I don't know."
I pouted at his answer. The snow prince is lying.
"Can I teach the dear prince how humans kiss?"
I really wanted to pull him closer to me when he slightly bit his lip. Damn, Kaizer Alaric Lancaster. You're so hot with your ice around you.
"As you wish.." he answered with a smile.
"Now, close your eyes. I'm shy."
"Seriously, Saera?" he was still laughing at me.
"Just close your eyes," I insisted.
"Alright."
When Kaizer closed his eyes, I started to lift my head. We haven't kiss yet, as far as I remember.
When our lips were just a hair's breadth away, I was surprised when he suddenly opened his eyes. His eyes were red, but it was very different when he wanted to drink my blood. His eyes were blazing.
I quickly disappeared from my lying position because he lifted me up again.
"What's wrong?" I asked Kaizer, surprised, whose jaw was tightening. What the hell is happening?
I immediately saw Randall and Travis on either side of Kaizer and me.
"Seems like we have some visitors."
I was almost stunned when Gavin suddenly appeared holding a rose. He quickly winked at me, but Kaizer's flying snow immediately greeted him.
"I'm not the enemy here," Gavin said, irritated, as he dodged Kaizer's snow.
My whole body was trembling, and I could only hold on tighter to Kaizer's arm when I saw the group of black wolves.
"Kaizer.."
They were destroying Kaizer's snowmen one by one. And my heart pounded even harder when I saw their total number.
There weren't just ten black and big wolves currently surrounding us now.
"What are… they?"
I'm scared of their eyes.
"Werewolves."
