Chapter 106 Chapter 106
That was answer enough. Later, I walked the edge of the Infernal Sea, where the flames run black and gold. The waves hiss with the memory of her fire. Every ripple carries her signature red laced with celestial white and gold. Even Hell itself refuses to forget her. “She’s not coming back,” a voice said behind me.
Baltazaar. Of course. He always appears when I least want company. “Careful, General,” I said without turning. “There are better places to test my temper.”
He stepped up beside me, wings folded tight, his armor scarred. “You already know what she’s done.”

“I watched it,” I said flatly. “From here. The sky above Hell turned to flame. My own legions fell to their knees. Even the devils stopped whispering.”
“And?” he asked. “And I’ve never been prouder,” I admit. “Or more afraid.” He didn’t respond, just stared at the horizon. The golden cracks in the air shimmer faintly, remnants of the fissures she tore through the realms. “Michael told me he’s preparing judgment,” Baltazaar said at last.
“Judgment?” I scoff. “Of her?” He nodded. “And Azrael.”

My hands curled into fists. The air around us darkens, and the sea responds, waves rising, licking at the rocks. “He dares condemn them after everything they’ve endured?”
“You know how He works,” Baltazaar said calmly. “Balance must be restored.”
“Balance,” I spit. “He calls it balance when He rewrites memory, strips will, and erases love, and when my daughter defies that law, it’s blasphemy.”
Baltazaar didn’t answer. He didn’t have to. “She will burn Him out of His own throne if He tries,” I say softly. “She’s not bound by His light or my darkness anymore.”
He glanced sideways at me. “Then why are you afraid?”

I stared at the molten horizon for a long moment. “Because power without direction becomes destruction. And if she destroys Him… what’s left for her to rule?”
He said nothing. Because we both know the truth: Geminia was never meant to rule. She was meant to feel. And that feeling, that impossible love, has become something even the divine can’t measure. Hours later, I was sitting on my throne, the fire dimming to embers. The silence has weight now a world waiting for its queen.
I reached for her crown. The flame leaped at my touch, recognizing me but not obeying. It flickered in defiance, her spirit bound in gold and heat. I closed my fingers around it anyway, ignoring the burn.

“Come home, Gem,” I whisper. “Before He makes me your enemy.” The flames pulsed once like a heartbeat, then faded.
Michael returned before dawn. This time, he doesn’t hide his urgency. “They’ve taken him,” he said. My grip tightens around the armrest. “Azrael?”
He nodded. “The chains of the Deep. Even the seraphim can’t hear him.”
“And she?”

“She knows,” Michael said grimly. “She’s already moving.” The words were a blade. I rose slowly, the throne flaring with each motion. “He chained one of His own in the pits of my dominion?”
“It was the only place even Heaven couldn’t reach.” A low, humorless chuckle left my throat. “Then He’s forgotten whose realm He trespassed in.”
Michael stepped closer. “Lucifer...”

I cut him off. “No, Michael. You don’t get to beg for caution now. If He thinks binding Azrael in Hell will keep her from him, He’s a fool.”
“She’s already torn through Lillith’s dominion,” he admitted. “And the Seven are preparing to strike back.” I looked toward the ceiling , where faint echoes of her wrath shimmered. “Let them try.” Michael’s expression softened pity. “You could stop her.”
I meet his gaze. “Why would I?”

“Because if she keeps going, there will be nothing left to rule.” I smiled a bitter smile: “Then maybe that’s what she’s meant to do.”
He looked away. “You’d sacrifice your realm?”
“For her? Always.” The admission tastes like blood.

The fires of Hell rose as her fury spread. I felt it even from the throne, the tremor of collapsing dominions, the dying screams of the Seven Princes as she tore through their empires. Each one fell like a star extinguished, their power consumed in the wake of her rage. Michael watched, jaw tight, wings trembling. “She’s becoming something beyond us.”
“She always was,” I murmured. “You just refused to see it.”
“She’ll come for you next.”

“Of course she will.” I stood, the crown still burning in my hand. “She’ll have to if she wants to reach the chains.”
“And you’ll let her?”
“I’ll face her,” I said, turning toward the gate. “Not as her enemy. As her father.” Michael’s voice was quiet. “And if she kills you?” I glanced back, smiling faintly. “Then at least it’ll be family business. When she finally came, the realm shuddered. Flame met flame hers gold-red, mine obsidian-blue. The towers bent, rivers boiled, and the sky split open. She stepped through the infernal gates like a storm given form, eyes blazing with wrath and love intertwined. The sight steals the breath from every demon watching. “Father,” she said.

Her voice was calm, but the air shook.. "Daughter,” I answered, bowing my head. “You’ve made quite the mess.” Her lips twitched, almost a smile, almost sorrow. “Move aside.” I met her gaze. “If I do, you’ll destroy everything.”
“If I don’t,” she asked, “he keeps him chained.” For the first time in eons, I hesitate. And that’s when I saw it: the fire in her eyes, it wasn’t hatred. It was grief. It’s the same grief that once drove me to rebellion. “You love him enough to burn eternity,” I whisper.

“I do.” The silence between us crackled. Then, slowly, I stepped aside. “Then burn it,” I said. “Show Him what His perfect order costs.” She brushed past me, leaving fire in her wake. The gates collapsed. The throne ignited. And I, Lucifer, the Morning Star, fall to one knee, watching the infernal crown melt into ash.
Because for the first time since I was cast down, I’m witnessing something purer than rebellion. Love, unbound.

Michael

Light used to mean peace. Now it felt like pressure. Every step I took through the corridors of the High Choir felt heavier than the one before it. The once-blinding halls of Heaven are dim now, not from lack of radiance but from restraint. The light itself trembled, afraid to draw attention. Because the Source is awake.
I can feel it in the air, vast and unblinking. Every pulse of divinity ripples with judgment. Every whisper in the wind asks the same question:
Where is the Archangel? I stopped before the great dais, where the Throne burns brighter than stars. The voice that greets me is not thunder, not warmth, just quiet inevitability.

“Michael.”
My name shakes through every atom of the realm. I bow my head. “Father.”
“You have disobeyed.”
My throat tightens. “I followed balance.”
“Balance is not yours to define.”

The light flared, and I flinched as visions flashed before me: Geminia tearing through the veil, Azrael’s chains cracking in the dark, Lucifer stepping aside, and the flames of Heaven and Hell touching for the first time in eternity. All of it woven together, unstoppable.
