Chapter 131: Catherine is Our Treasure
In the night, Catherine's profile was carved with extraordinary elegance, like an exquisite painting.
His eyes were filled with unmistakable affection, as if he wanted to melt the Catherine before him!
Catherine gently turned her face away, the corners of her mouth slightly lifted, but her tone was somewhat cold.
"Got it."
Alexander vigorously ruffled her hair and let out a helpless laugh.
He'd said all that, and this was her reaction?

Annie drove in silence.

Marcus sat in the main seat, having been craning his neck waiting for ages. When he saw Catherine and Alexander walk in hand in hand, his stern face immediately broke into a smile full of wrinkles!
"Grandpa, we're back. We had to handle some things at the gallery this afternoon, so we're late."
"What happened at the gallery? Samuel, why did you give Catherine a problematic gallery?"
Samuel looked completely confused!
"How did I give Catherine a problematic gallery? That gallery is the biggest one in all of Imperia City! I prepared it the year Catherine was born, planning to give it to her when she came of age!"
Even though he hadn't managed the gallery much over the years, it was only because he really had no business talent. But he'd hired a professional management team to run it!
Plus, with Charles keeping an eye on things, what could go wrong?
Charles stared at Catherine and Alexander's clasped hands, feeling extremely annoyed!
He knew Alexander wanted to compete with him for Catherine! Definitely up to no good!

Charles pulled Catherine away, forcefully taking her with him.
"Catherine, come sit by me. I've sent over all those materials you needed for the gallery, and arranged for a construction team to go there too."
Bethany worried that Catherine might be bullied by those people at the gallery and quickly asked, "Catherine, what happened at the gallery? Do you need my help?"

Felix frowned, looking at Alexander.
"How are you taking care of Catherine? How could something happen at Catherine's gallery? Next time, just go to work with Catherine!"
Alexander looked helplessly at the unreasonable Felix.
He would love to go to work with Catherine, but she probably wouldn't want that!
"If Catherine is willing to go to work with me, I'll arrange my schedule tomorrow and commute with Catherine."
Charles: "Who wants to go to work with you? Mr. Howard has such a big business empire - better manage your own affairs first."
"Thanks for your concern. Everything at the Howard Group is running smoothly. I heard you're also interested in that piece of land from the city government?"
Charles perked up. "What do you mean? Have you gotten news about that land?"
Alexander took a sip of water and smiled without answering.
Richard: "Catherine is still young and doesn't need to go to work every day. When she's free, she can go out and have fun with us. No need to trouble Mr. Howard."
"Taking care of Catherine is what I should do. I heard you've been wanting to invest in some entertainment companies recently? I wonder if you're interested in EchoVerse Entertainment."
Richard's eyes widened as he forced himself to stay calm.
"EchoVerse Entertainment? That's a major company. You have investment connections?"
"As it happens, EchoVerse Entertainment is a subsidiary of the Howard Group."
Richard was shocked!
He knew the Howard Group was big, but he didn't expect it to be this big. Controlling a company like EchoVerse Entertainment, Alexander could just lie at home and still have endless money to make.
Philip: "Even if Mr. Howard's investments are doing well, you and Catherine aren't married yet. Until Catherine clearly states she's willing to marry you, please keep your distance from Catherine."
"I understand."
Alexander unbuttoned one button of his suit and sat down next to Catherine, looking at her with deep affection.
"That's why I'm pursuing Catherine. Until Catherine agrees to marry me, I won't overstep any boundaries."
With this statement, the Windsor family members felt reassured.
Catherine looked at him with some surprise, meeting Alexander's eyes that sparkled like stars.
He was willing to explain to her family for her sake, just to put the Windsor family at ease. This was something she hadn't expected - that he would take such small matters to heart.
Catherine sipped her soup in small mouthfuls, and her heart seemed to warm up like her stomach, heated by the hot soup.
Bethany took the big soup ladle and knocked each of her three sons on the head, scolding, "What are you all saying? Alexander and Catherine have a good relationship. If you're jealous watching them, go find your own wives!"
"And George too - we said it's a family dinner, where is he!"
George stood at the front door, looking travel-worn, carrying a bunch of gifts in his hands.
"I'm back late. I brought gifts for everyone."
Aurora immediately stood up and walked to George's side, looking him up and down.
"George, where have you been? Why are you covered in sand? And you've gotten quite tanned too?"
George and Charles exchanged glances, and several of them knowingly exchanged looks.
"Mom, I went out to do research. I rushed back to make it for dinner, but the car broke down on the way, so I ran back. Let me go change clothes first, I'll be right back for dinner."
Hearing it was for research, Aurora felt relieved.
Catherine's nose twitched slightly.
She caught a faint smell of blood in the air, along with the scent of medicine. It seemed George was injured, but the wound had been treated.
George himself was a genius doctor, so she didn't need to worry about that.
When George returned to the dining table, the family finally started eating.
Although Marcus didn't say anything, everyone tacitly waited for George, and only when the whole family was gathered did they begin the meal.
Charles was just about to peel shrimp for Catherine when he discovered his job had been taken by Alexander!
Watching Alexander naturally take care of Catherine, Aurora could barely hide her smile!
Bethany also seemed to see herself and Aurora when they were young and in love - just watching felt sweet!
"Catherine, I heard you dealt with the pest at the gallery? That person embezzled so much money from the gallery, and Catherine discovered it all. How is Catherine so amazing! I think all the Windsor family businesses are saved now!"
The whole family perked up as Bethany, with great embellishment, told the story of Catherine dealing with Jennifer, with such dramatic flair and emotion.

If Bethany ever lost her job, she could become a public speaker!
Samuel decided on the spot: "Tomorrow at the exhibition, our whole family will go! I want to see who dares to bully Catherine!"
Marcus strongly agreed. "Finally, you said something sensible. Our whole family will go to support Catherine! We must go!"
The family started discussing excitedly.
In the corner, the housekeeper Lucy quietly filmed the scene and sent it all to Esme.
"Esme, I'm afraid there's no place for you in this family anymore! You need to work hard!"
