Stuart closed the bedroom door before answering the front door.
"Doris?" he asked with a smile. "Aren't you asleep yet?"
Stuart had dinner with her and then said he had work to do.
Doris knew he was a workaholic and didn't dare to disturb him.
She guessed he was almost done with his work, so she dared to come over.
"Stuart," Doris said gently, "there seems to be a problem with the hot water in my room, but I haven't taken a shower yet."
Stuart's voice was also gentle. "You can call the staff and have them come and take a look."
"But I'll have to wait a long time," Doris said as she looked inside. "Can I take a shower here?"
Stuart closed the door and stood outside with her. "I'm still working. Let's go to your room, and I'll make the call and keep you company."
Although her plan was interrupted, Doris felt valued that Stuart would put down his work to be with her.
The next day, Josephine woke up feeling sore all over, and even the slightest movement of her legs felt like they were tearing apart.
She struggled to get up and looked down. Sure enough, there were bruises where Stuart had grabbed her last night.
She got out of bed and sat in the wheelchair next to it, only to find that she was the only one in the suite.
Stuart was nowhere to be found.
Just as Josephine was about to leave, she heard a sound at the door.
The next second, she saw Doris coming in, humming a tune.
Doris had been pacified last night, thinking that they would still be in this country for a few more days, so she wasn't in a hurry.
Today, she had breakfast with Stuart and watched him being surrounded by his subordinates as he went to work. Doris went to the nearby flower shop, buying a bouquet of flowers, and happily returned. She was ready to put the flowers in Stuart's room.
Doris thought she would be able to move in smoothly tonight.
Instead, as soon as she entered, she saw the person sitting in a wheelchair.
She thought she'd seen a ghost and almost screamed
Josephine looked at her, then at the flowers in her hand, and said expressionlessly, "You're here too."
Doris was just a new secretary. There was no need for her to accompany Stuart on his business trip.

"How did you end up here?"

She had someone take a photo of Josephine and another man entering the hotel, and at that time, she didn't know that Josephine had also come to this country.

Doris thought she was with another man in another hotel.

She thought, 'How could Josephine come here?
She must be chasing after Stuart!

Josephine didn't intend to say more, she manipulated the wheelchair and wanted to leave.
Doris suddenly saw a faint hickey on her neck.
She appeared in Stuart's room early in the morning, filled with the laziness and casualness after sex. There were still hickeys on her neck.
Doris couldn't maintain her calm. She asked coldly, "When did you come to this hotel?"
Josephine smiled, "Last night."
Looking at Doris's angry face, Josephine suddenly wanted to tease her. "Stuart personally came to pick me up. Men, like greedy children, can be quite annoying sometimes."
She was alluding to something. Doris was just pretending to be stupid, she wasn't really stupid. She certainly understood.
"Don't be smug!" Doris was so angry that she was about to go crazy. "Stuart is only interested in your body, he just sees you as a tool for his pleasure!"
Josephine raised an eyebrow. "Is that so? Then, he's not interested in your body, is he?"

"What are you so proud of? Stuart doesn't love you at all. If someone loves another person, they will restrain their desires. In front of me, if I say no, Stuart wouldn't force me."
Josephine looked at her and said, "Doris, have you ever thought about why Stuart found you so special at first sight? Or do you think you have the power to make him fall in love with you at first sight?"
"You don't need to sow discord between us. You will never understand Stuart's feelings for me!"
Josephine supported her chin, her elbow on the armrest. "Why don't you continue to pretend to be pitiful and kind?"
Doris was angry. "You're the one who's pretending! You always have this noble and innocent look. But in the end, when you hurt your foot, it was me that Stuart held in his arms!"
Josephine smiled. "You don't have to target me like this. You also said that he doesn't love me. So, what threat do I pose to you?"
Doris was stunned. It seemed like Josephine was right.

"Then who is?" Doris blurted out and immediately regretted it.
"But the one who refuses to leave Stuart now is you! He doesn't like you, and if you have any self-respect, you should leave him!"
Josephine looked at her and said, "Are you even proud to be a mistress? Since he loves you so much, how can he bear to let you be interloper? You should make him divorce me and marry you."
Doris felt humiliated because she knew Stuart would never do that.
She had known Stuart for a short time, and she hadn't even figured out his personality. Although Stuart now doted on her, Doris always felt insecure.
She urgently needed to grasp something real to feel at ease.
And she had always dreamed of becoming Stuart's wife, she was even willing to play tricks.
Josephine said again, "And, don't you really want to know why he found you so special?"

Doris also smiled, "Josephine, do you really have no feelings for Stuart?"

Josephine lowered her eyes and said, "I also hope you can be smarter. Don't end up not being Stuart's wife and getting dumped by him."
Then, she manipulated the wheelchair and left the suite.
When Stuart came back, he only saw Doris, and Josephine was gone.
Doris stood up, holding his arm, and said, "Stuart, Josephine said some strange things to me just now, and then she left."
