Blood on the Blade

In a city carved by loyalty and lies, one love dares to defy the odds. Nico Valenti thrives in the shadows of Chicago’s mafia, a 29-year-old enforcer who knows the cost of weakness. Enter Luca Moretti, a 25-year-old barman with an innocent glow that Nico can’t resist—a forbidden flame flickering in a world that crushes softness. Their secret romance unfolds in stolen whispers and desperate touches, a lifeline neither expected to find. But secrets have a price in the Valenti family. When cash disappears and rival families linger at the gates, Nico’s love becomes his weak point. His sister Gia watches too closely, her sharp edges hiding a threat he can’t yet see. A chilling message cuts through the night, promising blood if their bond doesn’t break. Caught between the family he serves and the man he’d die for, Nico’s world teeters on a razor’s edge. Will their love outlast the storm—or shatter under its weight?
