Chapter 75 Bethrothement

Chapter 75 Bethrothement
The sun was high up in the sky already, and it sunny glow gave the entire penthouse a golden hue, especially in the kitchen where Kael was cooking.

“Good morning” Misella stretched behind Kael.

He stole a glance at her and took his eyes back to the toast he was making.

“What are you doing??” Misella arched her brows.

“Fighting off rogues” Kael rolled his eyes.

Misella hissed.

“I mean, what are you doing in the kitchen?. I'm sure I saw a bunch of maids when I arrived yesterday” Misella had a perplexed look on her face.

“I'm making breakfast for Elara” Kael smiled.

Misella scoffed.

“Eewww!!. You're joking, right?” her eyes almost bulged out of their sockets.

Kael quickly glanced at her, but with a smile.

“I'm home today and want to do something nice for her, so I told the maids to have a rest” he was grinning from ear to ear.

Misella couldnt believe what she was hearing.

Kael Draven in the kitchen.

“You hate being in the kitchen more than anything else in this world, Kael. You would rather die than make a toast to quench your hunger” Misella was confused and shocked now.

“Well..I guess people do change”

She now has her arms folded above her breasts.

“I want to believe this is a joke” She scowled.

Kael ignored her and went on to dish out the meal perfectly on a plate.

“Breakfast in bed, seriously?” she hurled after him as he left the kitchen.

It wasn't even 8 yet.

Misella went back to the kitchen and started pacing to and fro.

So, Kael loves her? She thought.

It was so evident and he wasn't even hiding it.

She had heard rumours from the spy she placed in Crescent Ridge to watch Kael and when she was told Kael had brought home a girl, she wouldnt believe it.

Kael, the selfish and pompous, future Alpha cares about someone else? Totally unbelievable and laughable too.

It would be faster for aliens to go extinct than for Kael to develop a heart.

She knew she had to act fast. She didn't like how things were developing and she definitely wasn't going to let it develop any further.

She went back to the room Kael had told one of the maids to prepare for her the previous day, and began thinking of what to do.

Suddenly, an idea came to her.

Misella smiled, danced cooly for a while and went to get dressed.

Kael gently pushed the door open and went inside.

Elara was still fast asleep. He knew she would be. She had nowhere to go and nothing to do.

He smiled and placed the tray on the bed close to her.

He sat on the bed too and watched her sleep.

He had been secretly doing that sometimes since she came, but would never let her find out because he wasn't quite sure how she would react.

She mumbled and turned gently, and he smiled.

He tapped her softly and she mumbled gibberish again.

This made him chuckle.

How cute!. He thought.

Slowly, Elara’s eyes shifted slowly and slowly opened, carefully adjusting to the brightness of the room.

She was shocked to find Kael sitting on her bed smiling down at her.

And when she sprang up and sat on the bed, she was even more confused at the tray besides her.

“W…whats going on??” she wondered out loud.

“Just breakfast. I wanted to do something nice for you” Kael informed her.

She smiled.

“Thank you”

They both sat in silence for a while.

Kael staring at her, and she staring down at her finger.

“Okay, do whatever you have to. I'll be downstairs” Kael suddenly got up, breaking the silence between them.

Elara smiled shyly and watched him leave.

When she was sure he had left, she happily carried the tray and placed it on her thigh.

She picked up the toasted bread and took a bit- it was so good. Then, she moved to the scrambled eggs and then the tea which was made to perfection she had a hard time believing Kael had made it.

Perhaps, one of the maids had helped him out with it. She thought.

Meanwhile, Kael was grinning from ear to ear, overjoyed it had gone well.

He didn't know what to expect because Elara always seemed so uptight.

They've been on a lot of dates and had even kissed, but this was the first time, he actually felt like he was doing something for her because he was doing it for her.

Not necessarily to compete with the other team members, and not necessarily to win her over.

He genuinely wanted to do that for her.

And that was…different.

The gigantic building towered with strong powerful presence and even more brittles, irons, soldiers and fire.

Guards lined up each intersection and each section leading to various doors and parts of the building.

People buzzed in and out, the pack currying with people who looked busy and appeared even busier.

The guards wasted no time in letting her in.

And she marched in with all her grace and elegance, that she was known for.

One of the guards alerted the Alpha of Misella’s presence, and he stumbled out, beaming with smiles all over.

“To what do I owe this pleasant surprise?” He grinned as they shared a light hug.

“It's been what now…almost three years” Alpha Draven beamed with smiles as he took his seat and gestured for her to take hers too.

The majestic chamber had beautiful lights and just the right amount of decorations and designs.

“I've come to ask for your help” Misella went straight to the point.

Her father is the East Lycan King and the Alphas best friend. She knew nothing she would ask for would be rejected by the man seeated in front of her.

“What has you so troubled, that even your beautiful smile is nowhere in sight?” Alpha urged her.

“I came yesterday to visit Kael and found a girl in his house”

Alpha shif
ted uncomfortably on his chair.

“I want to be mated to him. I ask that your bethrothe us” Misella dropped.

A Bethrothement.

All of a sudden.
