Chapter 74 Misella
Chapter 74 Misella
ELARA
I watched as kaels expressions went from surprise, to puzzle and then anger.
He seemed to come back to his senses and pushed her off him.
She doesn't look surprised. Almost like she has anticipated it or had experienced it before.
“What the hell are you doing in my house??” Kael yelled, his eyes burning with anger. His fist clenching.
Okay…not what I was expecting.
She scoffed and rolled her eyes, then went back to the couch.
“That's not a nice way to welcome a visitor and you know it, Kael”
Kael..I didn't like the way she dragged the letters at the ending.
“You've got some nerves Misella, showing up at my house unannounced, uninvited!!”
Oh, man!! It's been so long since I experienced Kael's anger that I actually forgot what he was like when angry.
Misella…what a beautiful name.
I held the rails on the stairs and watched as the drama slowly unfolded still confused as hell as to what was going on.
I thought she was his sister but apparently, I was wrong.
If she wasn't his sister, then who the hell is she?.
“You need to leave, and I mean like right now” Kael barked.
She tilted her head to look at him.
“You can't be serious. You seriously want to throw me out of your house after I came all this way just to see you” disbelief was all over her face.
“You should have thought about that before coming,” Kael shouted.
“Woah! I didn't know I needed an invitation to come see you. Why? Is it because of her?” She pointed towards me and that was when Kael realized I was actually standing there.
He unclenched his fist and ran his fingers through his hair, something he does when frustrated.
He backed her, his hands on his waist.
Then, he started walking towards me.
“Let's go upstairs” he whispered to me, avoiding my eyes.
“Who's she?” I asked, ignoring his words.
He held my wrist and dragged me to follow him upstairs but I refused.
“Who's she, Kael?” I asked again, this time more seriously.
“Go ahead Kael, tell her who I am” Misella dared, in a mocking tone.
“She’s no one important. Let's go” he tried to persuade but I was just as stubborn.
I angrily wriggled my wrist out of his hold and stormed off.
He can't even tell me who she is. What exactly do they have between them? And why does he look so guilty?.
I got to my room and made sure to lock the door.
His countless knocking soon filled my door but I wouldn't open up.
I sat close to the window, staring at the green beauties in front of me.
I watched as two butterflies danced beautifully in the garden.
I watched as they played carefreely and went wherever they wanted with no one holding them back.
I was so angry. Angry at myself for letting Kael treat me this way. Angry at myself for feeling the way I do. Angry at myself for getting jealous when I don't even know who she is.
For fuck sake, how hard can it be to tell who a person is…to introduce a person?.
I heard creaking sounds and before I realized what was happening, Kael was standing inside my room.
How dumb can I be? I've forgotten this was his house. Of course he has spare keys.
He barged the door shut after he got inside and came close to me.
I ran to the bed and covered with the duvet, hiding from him.
“Seriously? You're not gonna talk to me?” He asked, his voice calm and cold.
“No. Go away” i yelled.
I didn't hear anything for some seconds, until he started dragging the duvet and trying to get it off me.
I held on tight and we started dragging.
I made sure to fight him off with all the strength I've got, but I was no match for Kael.
He was soon able to get the duvet off me, but I still wouldn't look at him.
He sat on the bed, very close to me, while I buried my face on the bed, refusing to look at him.
I heard him take a deep breath.
“ Misella is just a childhood friend,” he started.
He was fussing so much over just a childhood friend.
Interesting!.
“ We grew up together. Her father is the East Lycan King and he is very close to my father and Uncle. That's all” he explained.
I waited for more but he said nothing else.
Reluctantly, I sat up, my disheveled hair all over my face.
He chuckled and tried to help get them off but I slapped his hand off.
“Ouch!” He winced.
“Serves you right”
“You know that's not fair. I already told you all there is to know” he pouted.
“Well, I still don't believe you were acting that way over just a childhood friend” I made sure to gesticulate and rounded off with an air quote.
“its really not that serious, I promise “ he grinned widely.
I had successfully gotten all the hair away from my face.
Kael took my palm in his.
“ She's really just a friend,” he assured me, in a serious tone.
“She didn't seem that way to me” I told him.
His brows arched.
“Did she say anything to you?” He asked angrily.
“No, no. It's just the way she acted around you…like...like you were her property” I let out and noticed his countenance changed.
“Have you eaten??” Kael beamed.
Okay…he changed the topic.
So she does like him.
And why did he change the
topic. Did he like her back? Were they a thing in the past?.
What's their history like?.
And why does it bother me so much?.
Oh, Kael!!.
