Chapter 73 A new girl
Chapter 73 A new girl
ELARA
I had gotten quite used to the princess treatment, although I had to admit, Kael was really pushing it.
I missed school. I missed Sonia and Sophie and wondered how they were doing. I missed the teachers and I missed Rowan and Jace and how he always made me laugh.
Ohh!!.
“I still don't know why you won't let me go to school?” I confronted Kael again, on yet another morning.
He was dressed and ready to leave and I was blocking his way, huffing.
“ Don't be surprised if you can't find me when you get back” I heaved and slumped on the couch behind me.
His face turned pale, making my ribs almost burst out.
“You're gonna make me get security” he gritted, his eyes breathing fire.
“Relax!” I assured him, laughing.
He sighed.
He picked up his jacket and adjusted his collar.
“Make sure to eat” he groaned.
I rolled my eyes.
He gave me a smile and walked out.
‘Make sure to eat’ is that the only thing I'm meant to do in this house.
Just sit around all day, eat and do nothing. I was seriously sick and tired of it.
He wouldn't even tell me what was going on.
How do I know I've not been kidnapped?.
Goodness!!.
I went back to my room because I wasn't really hungry.
I started looking for what to keep myself busy with.
I had gotten into knitting- one of Kael's crazy ideas.
Why should I even complain? I'm not going to fail, all thanks to him.
I was knitting a sweater because it will be winter soon and I wanted to give them to all my friends.
I had knotted about three so far, and had about four more to go.
The weather was a bit hot, so I had only a singlet and shorts on.
The maids he brought were doing a really great job taking care of his penthouse.
I wouldn't have been able to manage it all by myself.
Kael promised to bring Sonia and Sophie to come visit and I was holding him by his word.
I wondered why neither of his friends had come to visit because I was hoping to ask them about Sonia and Sophie
I would especially ask Luca about Sonia because I know she's always hovering around him.
Oh, my! The look on his face would be one to die for.
Just the thought of it almost made me laugh out loud, if not for the knock on the door that interrupted my thought.
The knock faded just as quickly as it came that I was sure I must have imagined it.
I loved my room. The window showed me a direct view from outside with all kinds of flowers and tall trees, making it windy, greenery and extremely cozy.
It was not until I heard another knock at my door that I knew I hadn't imagined the first one earlier.
I adjusted my shorts and walked to the door.
One of the maids was the one at the door.
I smiled at her, because apparently that was my way of asking why she was at my door.
“Someone is downstairs,” she informed me.
“Who?” I arched my brows, confusion clearly evident on my face.
I wasn't expecting anyone and Kael would have informed me if someone was coming.
“A young girl,” the maid said simply and turned.
A young girl? Hold on…could it be..
Without thinking, I ran out of my room and ambled to the living room.
My smile disappeared the moment I came face to face with this beauty.
She was stunning. Her long hair flowed down her back, and the short black strapless dress she wore made her look like she belonged on a magazine cover.
Her jewelry glittered under the immaculate white light dangling above us, that illuminated the entire living room.
I gulped.
Who was this goddess??.
It took her a while to notice my presence, and she got up almost immediately.
“Well, well, I guess the rumors are true then” she clasped her arms above her breasts, circling around me like she was investigating me.
I suddenly feel so small in my short and common singlet.
She looked so beautiful dressed that way and I…I looked so…so small.
Who the hell was she? And what did she mean by rumors?.
She stopped hovering around me and came to stand in front of me.
“Who are you?” My voice came out lower than I intended.
I prayed she wouldn't hear my rapid heart beat.
“i should be the one asking you that? Who the hell are you?” She growled.
Okay…she isn't very nice!!.
I gulped, my palms turning sweaty, and head light.
“I didn't believe it at first when I heard Kael of all people was keeping a girl at his house. Unbelievable!” she scoffed and went back to her seat on the couch.
Kael! She knows Kael. Of course she does dummy, she's in his house.
Hold on…is she…is she Kaels sister??.
I took my eyes to her again but could see no resemblance.
Well, maybe they don't look alike, but they sure have the same meanness.
I don't really know much about Kael or even his family.
“ You must be tired. Why don't you freshen up and I'll ask the maid to get you something to eat "I tried to appeal to her.
She looked up from playing with her eyes and shot me a cold glare.
I felt like a bucket of cold water was drenched on me.
After standing there for like a minute with no response from her, I realized she was never going to answer me.
“Alright then” I batted my eyelashes and took the stairs upstairs to my room.
My mind was occupied with the girl downstairs.
She didn't even have the decency to introduce herself or even bother to know who I was.
Can't believe Kaels sister is meaner than him.
About four hours later, the high stringed noise told me Kael was back home.
I hurried down the stairs again just as he opened the door and got in.
The look on his face when he saw her told me they were nowhere near siblings.
She hurriedly got up and happily flung herself around hi
m, while he froze in space.
My heart skipped a beat, and I found myself struggling to steady myself against the rails of the stairs.
Just who is she??
