Epilogue

I am currently staring at the magical mirror that is the be-all and end-all. The thing that connected me to this world was the mirror through which I first saw my beloved prince.

I couldn't help but caress this glass as my hot tears flowed. I will never forget the first time I saw the snow prince in these glasses. with her chained hands and her beautiful body illuminated by the dim light from the candles.

He was like a chained angel, sleeping calmly with bruises on his body. When I first laid eyes on him, I was already impressed by his elegance. He was a real, powerful, and pure blooded prince.

A prince who chose to sacrifice his own life for a former human being.

I bit my lip as I looked at myself in the mirror.I just hugged myself as if feeling the hugs of my prince. I couldn't help but remember the first time he hugged me in front of this mirror, the first time our eyes lit up together and our lips touched. We witnessed my magical mirror.

console mirror. We were always together in front of this mirror. Not even once did he let me face this powerful mirror alone. He's always there, hugging me from behind, kissing my shoulders, and endlessly whispering his undying love for me.

Zen..

Zen has incorporated my heart, my ability to smile, and the life in my eyes. I'm losing the will to live. No more, nothing more.

I am lifeless without him. How can I live in this world if the only reason I fight in this cruel world is gone? No more reason.. No more Claret.

"Zen..."

"Zen." My voice cracked again.

"Zen." I can't count how many hundred times I've called his name with each passing day. The pain, the pain, the pain, the pain, the pain, the pain, It's been a month since Zen melted in my eyes. I was unconscious for three weeks because of the frostbite on my body. And as soon as I woke up, I faced the biggest nightmare of my life.

A nightmare that I will never wake up from.

how many times I regretted why I still woke up and why my body still fought. I just want to sleep. I just want to close my eyes to forget the pain. I just want to sleep forever. I don't want to feel pain anymore. The heart is very hard. It's hard with non-stop pain.

It wasn't just me and the Gazellians who mourned the loss of the prince of the snows; even the entire Parsua Sartorias and several neighboring empires I can hardly look into the eyes of the Gazellians. I am the one they expect to disappear; I am the one they expect to dissolve in this world, but why the prince of the snows? Why Zen? Why their brother? Why the man I love?

I should have dissolved. I should have dissolved. It's all my fault; I should have just agreed when they put me in the mirror. I should have just let them throw me in the mirror. It's all my fault.

"Zen..."

"Zen." I slowly sat down in front of the mirror. I want to go back. I want to go back. I have no reason to stay in this world anymore. Gone..

I'm finally sobbing again when I cry.

"Zen..."

"Zen..."

"Zen, answer me, please. Answer me, please, baby." My forehead was resting on the mirror as if at any time Zen would answer from it.

I heard a soft knock. I didn't bother him.

Look back or find out who from the Gazellians came in; I'm sure they're sick of seeing my teary eyes. Every day I cry, every day I stare at the mirror, and every day I am like this. I don't know what to do anymore.

"Claret, we'll all be waiting for you at the ceremony," Harper said softly. Where else can I get the strength to attend the ceremony he is talking about? I want to be alone forever. I just want to stay in this room with my prince forever.

"Can I just stay here? I don't want to attend Harper. I don't want to." I almost shook my head with my itchy voice.

"Claret, we've lost too. We've lost a brother; you're not the only one who's lost. You will be needed in the ceremony later; you are the most needed because we are talking about Zen's memory here." I remained without an answer to him. Does he not understand me? Zen is half of my life. My mate, my everything Where else will I find the strength to stand in front of the vampires who love him? Where else will I get the strength to face the whole Parsua Sartorias? I snatched them from the prince!

Harper didn't speak again until she finally left me in my prince's room.

With my itchy knees, I tried to stand up. I quickly went to bed and tried to wrap myself in my prince's blanket, where his lovely smell was left. I hugged his pillows tightly.

"Zen..."

"Zen." I don't care if it gets wet.

I have my tears on his pillow again.

Since I woke up, I didn't talk to anyone; my grandfather visited me several times; the appointed women, Rosh and Seth; even King Tobias and Lucas; and Adam even asked for help from Queen Almera so I could talk.

but I refused all of them. I can't talk even now; I want to be alone. I want to suffer alone.

Sometimes it occurred to me to revive Zen; the destined woman was still complete. They can do something to revive my prince, but suddenly Almera's words stuck in my mind. Their time is over; even if their blood is powerful enough to combine, it no longer has the ability to revive a vampire because I already have this ability and the women to come.

But when? Since when? In the next four hundred years?

How can I live for four hundred years without Zen? I'm going to die of sadness. I'm going to die of waiting.

I tried to wipe my tears and slowly got off the bed. I started walking towards the small trunk where my equipment was kept when I first came to this world.

But I was once again startled to notice that Zen's ice was melting little by little.

Zen's sculpture for me, my replicas—they're all melting.

I averted my eyes and continued walking until I reached the trunk. I didn't bother to use the key because I had already used my own magic.

to open it.

First, I saw my pajamas, my slippers, and my glasses. With my itchy hand, I took it off and started to put it back on.

I faced the mirror again while holding a sharp knife. I cut my very long hair little by little. I had short hair before, and I want to see myself as a person again.

With every cut of my hair are the drops of my tears. I didn't bother to remove my glasses, even though they were wet with my tears. I'm coming back. I'm coming back to my world.

I will only make myself suffer more if I stay in this world. I'll be back, Zen. I'll be back.

"You're still beautiful with your short hair, Claret." I stopped walking to the mirror when I heard Rosh's voice.

When I looked back, she was sitting on the edge of Zen's bed in front of her while she was holding a green rose.

Green rose?

He stood up and started coming towards me.

"What are you doing? Why are you here?" I started to back away.

"Are you coming back? Are you sure of your decision?" he asked me. I averted my eyes from him.

"What other reason do I have to stay in this world, Rosh? This isn't my world without Zen," I answered weakly.

"I know. And I won't stop you from leaving either; I know you'll come back too." I didn't answer what he said.

"Here." reached out He gave me the green rose he was holding.

"I don't like roses, Rosh," I said fatly. Her rose remained open to me.

"You will like it, Claret." He quickly approached me and grabbed my hand. He placed the green rose he was holding here.

"Green rose signifies cheerfulness and a new beginning, Claret. You're in the vampire world; death is not the end," he softly whispered to me as he fixed my hair.

"No, for me, it's the end, Rosh. No more. Zen is no more." My tears started to flow again.

Rosh immediately embraced me and hugged me very tightly.

"Another failure from me, Claret. I was there, I was there in that cursed palace with you, yet I was still useless. I let my most favorite rival in this world dissolve." I cried even more.

Rosh himself removed my glasses and started to wipe my tears.

"I didn't come here to stop you, Claret; I will definitely help you to come back to your own world, to ease all your pain, to rest, and to calm your heart." I nodded to what Rosh said.

"But you need to attend the ceremony, Claret. I know Zen will also want you to be here when the ceremony is done. I'll be there for you." I just stared at him.

"Rosh, why are you doing this?" He was not like this when I first met him. He's the most untrustworthy vampire I've ever known. Hey did try to kill me once.

"You're my first ever friend?" he answered me with a smile.

"Now fix yourself; I'll wait for you outside." I couldn't answer him because he quickly disappeared in front of me.

It didn't take me long to fix myself because I went out right away. Rosh was leaning against the wall when I saw him waiting for me.

"Everything will be fine." He smiled at me.

The world of vampires is full of ceremonies. I can't do anything about ceremonies that I don't even want to attend.

It wasn't Zen's funeral. Because we have nothing to bury. But for me, they will do the same.

Throughout Parsua Sartorias, there are eight different trees scattered in different parts of it that symbolize the Gazellian brothers. It symbolizes their lives; I can compare it to the mirror of the appointed woman.

and today the tree of my prince will be cut down. The tree that symbolizes the man I love the most I was put on Rosh's horse, and he rode quickly behind me. We need to get to the heart of the forest, where my prince's tree stands.

Rosh made the horse run fast until I could see the group of vampires surrounding a beautiful tree with pink leaves.

It's so beautiful. I was just stunned by the beautiful tree.

Immediately, a very strong wind blew, which is why it started.

Little pink leaves fall from my dear prince's tree.

Both of the Gazellians held blue fire cleavers as they stared at the tree of the Prince of Snows. On its side are three large vampires holding long swords that will cut it.

Rosh and I started walking towards it.

"Claret." I heard Lily call me. I also feel the gaze of all the vampires on me.

my human hair with my glasses. I don't care what they think anymore.

"Zen..." I started to step closer to the queen.

"May I speak before his tree is cut down?" The queen nodded at me. Even the Gazellians nodded at me softly.

I started walking forward, took a deep breath, and didn't bother to take off my glasses.

I want to speak to them all not as a vampire; I want to face them all as a person, someone destined to love a very handsome prince.

"Once again, the curse was not defeated," I said softly.

"It broke my heart again." My throat started to hurt as I held back my tears.

"I thought we—I thought the snow prince and I—would be the first to defeat the curse. I held him, I felt him again—his warm hugs, his caresses, and endless kisses from his lips. But it seems Fate was a traitor; she let the man I love melt away in front of me." I heard Lily, Harper, and the queen start to cry.

"I am the first predestined woman to come in this era, the person destined to love the one and only prince of the snows. I am a weak person, powerless to defend myself, and with a very fragile heart, but despite the qualities I have, the snow prince never got tired of understanding and loving me." I tried to smile at all of them.

"I've learned a lot in this world from being a vampire, from rules that I still don't understand, and even from past events connected to the present. From what I have witnessed and experienced, only three words run through my mind that make this world alive."

"We fight, we kill, and we betray one another. Endless battles between races and empires, endless slaughter of their twisted reasoning, and the cursed curse of all, the unstoppable betrayal of each other. Only these three make up the system of this world."

"Why is this? Why did you let your world live with these three words? It's already devouring the love we should have, and it's defeating the joy you vampires should have too. Everyone deserves to be happy, whether it's a human, a vampire, or a former person like me." I took a deep breath and rolled my eyes at them all.

"I confess to all of you that even then I will not embrace the crooked policies of this world, and seeing the beautiful tree symbolizing the man I love cut down is the last thing I will do."

This was the last thing I said before I decided to run very fast away from them all and away from the voices calling my name. away from my prince's tree, which is scheduled to be cut down at this time.

I threw away the glasses I was wearing while my eyes were crying nonstop. I couldn't stop running as my moaning continued to grow louder.

Didn't they think it was as if they were going to make me experience the dissolution of Zen again right before my eyes?

Damn these sh*t vampire traditions!

At the speed at which I ran, my foot hit the big root of the tree, which is why I started rolling until my body completely fell to the ground.

I just screamed because of the mixed emotions I was feeling. Sadness, anger, and endless pain "Zen..."

"Zen, please answer me." I called his name again and again.

And once again, my heart was squeezed when I felt something white fall on my cheek.

"Zen, I'll wait. I'll wait."

At the same time as my warm tears flowed, the gentle falling of natural snow came from the sky.

.

THE END.
