Chapter 68

I am currently leaning on my boyfriend's chest while he hugs me from behind. If only we could always be like this—no fights, no mess, and no misunderstandings.

We are now sitting on the white sand, watching the gentle lapping of the waves and dancing fairies lighting up the entire ocean.

His grandfather's ship, which played the biggest role in our togetherness, is getting smaller and smaller in our eyes.

Atlast, I am already married to the most gorgeous vampire of Parsua.

I chose to close the connection between our minds again, which Zen did not question.

"I couldn't thank your grandfather, Zen," I just said. He hugged me tighter, and I felt him kiss the top of my head again, which he always does.

"Let's thank him next time, baby; he needs to sleep again." I just stared at the ship that was starting to disappear.

"Then it will go back to where it came from?" I will ask.

"Yes, baby, he will sleep again." I was slightly silenced by Zen's words before I thought of something to say again.

To this day, I still have many questions about whether they are able to wake up a dead vampire through their blood. Why didn't the Gazellians try to awaken theirs?

father to help enlighten them on all events in Sartorias?

"I still can't understand. If you are awakening your grandfather with your own blood, why don't you do it to your father, the king? Why didn't your queen mother do it to talk to the king?" I asked him in surprise.

"They are in different cases, Claret; my father was murdered while my great grandfather was not." My forehead furrowed at what Zen said.

"I don't get your point. They both don't live in this world anymore. Can't you do the same thing you did to your grandfather to your father the king?" If they do this, they will be more enlightened about what really happened. If the queen knew the truth, their king knew it even more.

"Claret, the only ones we can wake up are the vampires who deliberately chose death." I was even more confused by Zen's words.

"What do you mean, Zen?"

"My grandfather had not yet clocked when he chose to die, when he chose to give the rest of his life to the blue fire. Why?" Why did he give his life to the blue fire?

"Why? Why did he want to die Zen?" Why can't I stop asking? I know it's beyond me, Zen, and I, but something pushes me to find out about this matter.

"To be with my great grandmother..." I was stunned.

said Zen. Then Zen's grandmother died first.

When I didn't answer immediately, Zen spoke again.

"Foolish?" he asked me. Since I couldn't agree with what he said, he answered his own question.

"Gazellians are foolish in love, Claret. Even death we pursue not to be separated from our partners. And if I were in the position of grandpa, I would give the rest of my life to the blue fire to be with you. After all, what is life without my Claret?" I felt that my heart was squeezed by what my prince said.

"Zen." I pulled his arms around me tighter.

"Even death can't make us apart, baby," he whispered to me, making my hair stand up. Even I can't be separated from Zen anymore, and I can't even think about it anymore. He is already part of me, and I think I will go crazy if I am separated from him.

We were silent for a few minutes before I asked him again.

"How did your grandmother die, Zen?"

"Damn curse, baby.." another curse? How many more vampires will fall prey to these curses?

"What kind of curse?" I asked again.

"She can't love a vampire baby. As soon as they have a vampire's child and it reaches its eighteenth year, our grandmother will die."

"In a drowning that is impossible to happen because she is a fairy of the ocean." That was cruel. What creatures can do this to their neighbor? Can't they not do bad things?

"But our grandmother hid it from our grandfather. She continued the pregnancy and raised their child well; that was our real grandfather, the father of our father king." I understand this. The vampire who married us is Zen's great-grandfather, so where is his real grandfather? Damn, the family tree of the Gazellians is really confusing.

"And when our real grandfather turned eighteen, my great-grandmother died. It was too late when my pirate grandfather found out about the curse." I bit my lip.

"This is where grandfather decided to give his life to the blue fire, and because the places where the souls of vampires and fairies go are different, grandpa chose to lock his soul in the ship where the ocean is near, in the place where my grandmother's memory is near." I immediately wiped the corner of my eyes when I felt it. "That was painful, Zen," I said softly.

"Yes, damn painful baby..." I was about to speak without any words coming out of my mouth.

I am so speechless. I thought vampire love was unbeatable. But why do I always hear this? from Danna's love to the king, the separation of my grandfather and grandmother, the unfortunate queen of Parsua Sartorias, and even the pirate who married us.

Why can't I see only painful love stories?

"It's never been a good idea to love another race, Claret; there are always conflicts and differences. The end of this is separation." I tightened my grip on his hand.

"Is that why you don't like the man set for Lily?" I heard Zen sigh.

"Let's not talk about it, Claret," he said to me seriously. I chose not to talk about it again; I didn't want Zen and I to argue on our wedding day.

"But how about that curse? Who did it? Witches?" I asked again. Were the rival witches still alive then?

"My great-grandmother's sister. Let's stop talking about this baby." I wanted to ask more, but Zen didn't seem to want to talk about it.

"The toughest enemy in this world is really just a curse," I just said.

Zen quickly brought my right hand to his lips.

"The entire empire of Parsua Claret will never again fear the curse. It was all because of you, it was all because of your power, baby. You can protect everyone, not just yourself, not just me, but also my family and this whole empire. No one will ever fall victim to the hateful curse again because you were given away.

"A glass to cut it," Zen said, making me even more silent.

"There is no power in this world greater than the power you have, Claret." I bit my lip while listening to him.

Something my prince doesn't know is that the power I have will never be able to protect me. Yes, I can protect him, his family, and his entire empire. But my own power can never protect me.

I seem to understand why I want to know what happened to his grandfather and grandmother's love. Is this what the fairy felt before? He didn't want to make things more complicated. Is that why he chose to hide the curse he had?

Will I let Zen think hard when he finds out that whatever curse landed on me, I can't get rid of myself? Or will I just do what the fairy did and make it my own?

I took a deep breath before speaking.

"I am also very grateful, and this power was given to me by the blue flame." I smiled bitterly as I said this.

It seems that I am also like a fairy; the only thing I can do is keep a secret from the man I love.

We were both silent again, but Zen couldn't stand it either and spoke again.

"Are we going to just sit here all day, Claret? Talking and talking?" I frowned at what he said.

"We are watching the dance of the Zen fairies." I heard him softly.

cursed at what I said.

Zen and I were the only vampires on this small island, and his grandfather only left us a small boat that we would use to return. I don't even know the name of this island.

"Claret, Casper told me something else. What do people do after they get married? Just watch the dance?" he asked me fatly. I just grinned at what he wanted to happen; I thought he had already forgotten.

"We're eating delicious food, Zen." I bit back my reply to hold back my laughter.

"Then?" he said quickly.

"Guests give gifts," I answered him.

"Shit, then?" He was starting to get irritated. Damn, my prince is so funny.

"The newlyweds are speaking to thank the guests." I answered him again. I heard him cursing again.

"Then?" He is sick.

"I'm going to sleep because I'm tired from the wedding."

"What the hell, Claret?!" This is where I got stronger with laughter. The snow prince is very crumpled.

"What? I'm just answering your questions, dear prince." I answered him. I lightly ran my fingers over his cheek.

"Claret baby. I know you know what I want, your vow, baby. Your vow." softly Zen said she was starting to shower kisses on my neck.

"What?" I said, laughing. The Snow Prince is starting.

"That honeymoon baby." I pretended to frown as if I didn't know what he was saying.

"Honeymoon? What is that Zen?" I lied.

"Fuck! I'll teach you!" he said, irritated. His caress disappeared immediately; the snow prince was really weak.

I just felt Zen pick me up quickly and run very fast into the forest on the island. Where will this vampire take me?

Zen was running so fast that he almost jumped several times because of the rising rocks and soil.

"Where are we going, Zen?" I asked him as I tightly hugged his neck. He still didn't stop running, and he didn't even bother to answer my question.

When Zen stopped running, I was just amazed at what I was seeing. a huge tree with small white leaves that are currently being trampled and blown by the gentle evening breeze.

The tree stands on a small piece of land surrounded by blue water. It was like an island with just one big tree.

"This clear water comes from the three waterfalls at the end of this one." I just nodded at what Zen said.

I felt him running again.

Quickly, I thought we were going to the three waterfalls he was talking about, but when I opened my eyes, we were at the foot of a beautiful tree.

I used to think that the only beautiful things I could see falling were white snowflakes. I didn't think I would just look up in admiration because of these little white leaves.

I even noticed a big hollow in this tree. What could be inside this huge hole? It was very dark, and I couldn't see anything. Can we come in?

Zen has already lowered me from his lift.

"What is the name of this tree, Zen?" I just asked him. I just closed my eyes when a leaf fell on my nose.

"Fremont Armastus" gave me a short answer.

"There should be a tree like this in front of the Zen palace. It's so beautiful, Zen." I just said while observing the falling of its leaves.

"Yes, baby.. beautiful. Damn.. beautiful." Zen said softly as I listened. When I turned to him, I found that he was looking at me, his red eyes staring intently at me.

"I can't take this anymore, baby." My eyes widened when Zen destroyed her white dress and just threw it into the water.

In the speed of the event, I found myself exchanging hot kisses with him while I got up with my legs wrapped around his waist.

It wasn't long before I started to feel the loss of my clothes.

"Zen." I caught my breath when he released my lips.

"Keep kissing me, baby." I was about to speak when he claimed my lips again. Zen begins to step inside the massive tree hole filled with darkness. Zen doesn't even give my lips a chance to be alone. The passionate and drowning kiss of my dear prince At the same time as his fangs bit my neck, darkness engulfed our bodies.
