Chapter 66
Zen and I stopped biting each other when we sensed that some boys seemed to have forgotten something. Instead of hiding in a corner of the room, Zen immediately picked me up, and we quickly went out the window.
"Zen!" My eyes almost widened as we were plunging from the high floor of the palace.
"Just hold me tight, baby." I hugged him tighter as I continued to feel our descent into the palace.
I slowly woke up when I felt that we were at the bottom of the palace. When I started to lift my eyes, my prince's eyes were just staring at me.
"I won't let you go; you know I can't let you go, Claret." My heart jumped when he gently placed his nose on top of my head. He sweetly smells my scent.
"Zen." I moved myself to lean on my prince's chest. I want to always be by his side, with his arms holding me, his words melting my heart, his eyes filled with hypnotism, and the sound of his heart screaming my name.
Without Zen in this world, I might not be alive for a long time. Zen is my only happiness in this world; it is the only one that balances the events I experience.
I am miserable without him.
He started walking.
while I'm still up. When I noticed that there were two followers currently preparing a horse, I began to wonder.
"Are we going somewhere, dear prince?" I asked him in surprise. When the palace followers noticed us, they quickly nodded to both of us in respect.
"We're going somewhere." somewhere?
"Where?" I asked again. Why didn't he name it?
"Yes, somewhere," he answered me with a smile. He didn't want to say where. My prince and his ways Where will this prince take me?
"Is this a date?" I asked him. Is 'date' trendy in this world? Does Zen have any idea what I said? damn "We don't do 'dates' here, Claret; you know what we vampires do. Let's, Claret." I was surprised by his answer. Zen knows the word 'date."
"How did you know to 'date' Zen?" I asked in surprise. But should I be surprised? I once heard Caleb and Evan talking about 'porn." As far as I'm concerned, there are no gadgets in this world. How do these vampires know such things?
"Because they can travel on your world, Claret. My brothers know some rules of the human world. In my case, I can see your world through Finn's vision." Zen answered me, hearing my mind. It seems that I accidentally opened my mind.
/
"You can always close it, Claret, if you're not comfortable." I was stunned by what Zen said.
'No, I want it open, Prince Zen," I answered in his mind.
'Huh? Are you sure, Cordelia? ' raised his eyebrows at me.
"Depends on your mischief, dear prince." Zen just shook his head at what I said. Zen and his biting lips damn "Where's my carriage, Zen?" I asked when he put me down.
"You'll ride with me, Claret." He quickly grabbed my waist and put me on the horse, which surprised me. He also immediately went up and hugged me in a way that protected me.
I couldn't speak anymore when Zen started running his horse. I could feel his hug getting tighter as the horse ran faster.
"Baby, your hair." Zen laughed. I just bit my lip; my hair was hitting the dear prince's face. If I were just a servant and accidentally hit the prince in the face, I would probably be in jail. Zen's handsome face is too precious; his elegance and good looks are known by different empires in every corner of this world.
I was about to wrap my hair when he put it on my left shoulder. I automatically grabbed my long hair with both hands so it wouldn't hit my face again.
prince "I'm sorry, dear prince. Instead of Zen answering me, I just felt him place his chin on my right shoulder.
"I miss you," he softly whispered to me. The hairs on the back of my neck almost stood up because of Zen's hot breath tickling my neck.
"I miss you too, Prince Zen." I weakly answered him. If earlier I was almost chilled by the wind hitting my body, now I don't even feel anything. Zen's body is too warm. It doesn't let me feel cold.
While our horse was running, I noticed that Lily and Harper were waiting on the opposite side of the road. When we started to get close to them, Lily's smoke power immediately came out.
The second prince whispered to me again when we were only a little distance away from his smiling brothers.
"Close your eyes, baby." I immediately closed my eyes before we finally got past the white smoke that Lily released.
I kept my eyes closed as I felt the horse start to slow down.
"Open your eyes," he whispered to me again. And the moment I opened my eyes, I was almost stunned with amazement.
"Is this real? Is what I'm seeing real?" I asked in disbelief.
We are currently on the edge of a very steep one.
which road overlooks the vast sea. But what impressed me the most was the light coming from the sea.
There are small lights at the bottom of the sea that gradually rise and make a bigger light.
"Fireflies?" It's damn impossible. Fireflies do not come from the sea. What are they? I heard Zen laugh lightly.
"Watch carefully, Claret. Their lights are more beautiful than fireflies." I felt Zen kiss the top of my head. I looked at it carefully again, and as I tried to understand it, my brow furrowed.
"Jelly fish with lights?" I asked again, making my prince laugh out loud.
They seemed to hear Zen's loud laugh, so they quickly returned under the water.
"Sea fairies, baby." I immediately turned to what Zen said.
"Are Zen fairies real?" I said in disbelief. Why am I still amazed? I have witnessed a lot that I thought I could only witness in unrealistic books.
Zen just smiled and shook his head at me.
"Of course, everything exists in this world, Claret." I didn't answer Zen when I noticed that the fairies of the ocean were starting to rise again. I mistook them for jellyfish when I saw that they seemed to have a hat like this, but upon closer inspection, I see them; behind the hat-like faces are the faces of female fairies.
A smile spread slightly on my lips as I watched what they were doing.
"Are they dancing?" I asked Zen, who was hugging me again.
"Yes, and it is part of their ritual." I just snorted at Zen's words.
"Ritual for what?" I asked in surprise.
"Crowning the Fairy Queen": Zen gave me a short answer.
"There really needs to be rituals," I just said. Even vampires have their own rituals.
"Yes, baby, rituals are everywhere. For assurance, for sealing, and to avoid conflict," Zen explained to me. Then I can compare the rituals in this world to the legal documents in the human world.
"Why do you think you know so much about fairies? Don't tell me—" I was stunned when Zen licked my neck.
"Zen!" My voice got louder because of what he suddenly did. Smirking, he put his forefinger on his lips to warn me that I needed to lower my voice.
"Fairies are not my type, Claret; I love ex-humans." I fell in love with him even more when he started kissing my neck.
"Ex humans.Did you bite someone else before me, Zen?" she frowned when I asked.
"How? No I tried to travel to the human world before I was engulfed in blue flames. You're the only person I've bitten, Claret." I just smiled at Zen's words.
"Hmm, so? Why do you know so much about fairies?" I was just exhausted when Zen gently bit the top of my ear.
"Because my great-grandmother was a fairy." I didn't think that Zen also had a fairy lineage. Not obvious.
"I heard that baby..." I just grinned at Zen's whisper.
"And my great-grandfather was a vampire pirate..." Zen also has a pirate lineage. Pretty obvious.
"I heard that, Claret!" Zen and I laughed together, but we immediately stopped when we remembered that we can't make noise.
I slowly put my arms around his neck while we stared at each other.
"May I kiss you, dear prince?" I woke up and asked him.
"You should ask my great-grandfather first. Princes like me don't just kiss." My eyebrows rose at Zen's words.
"Then where can I find your great grandfather, Prince Zen? I'm dying to kiss the Snow Prince." I was playing with him. I could see his grin widen at what I said.
"That's why I brought you here, Claret; you need to meet him." Is his grandfather alive?
'No, "Baby, you need to see his ship; it's my favorite place."
'You want to be a pirate Zen too? '
'No way, I preferred being a vampire prince baby."
We didn't talk again when Zen started the horse, but it wasn't long before we arrived at the ship Zen was talking about.
A pirate ship it is. If you look at it, it looks like it's about to break down because it's so old, and it's not safe to enter because of its scary position.
Half of the ship is on steep ground, while the other half is in the air, where below it are sharp and large rocks that are currently being battered by the strong waves of the sea.
"How did this ship get here?" I asked in surprise. It seems like just a little bit of wind will cause it to fall completely.
"The water used to be up here until it went down, and my grandfather's ship was left here," Zen explained to me.
"Let's go." He held out his hand to me.
"Are you sure with this? What if that suddenly falls Zen? It's not a joke what we're going to crash into," I said nervously.
"The ship will recognize me; he will not drop us. This ship recognizes the Gazellians; we're safe. Trust me, baby." I snorted again at Zen's words.
"I am not a Gazellian Zen," I said hesitantly.
/
"But you're the woman I love, Claret; the ship won't drop the beloved of the Gazellians." I couldn't answer what Zen said when he quickly picked me up again and immediately jumped high.
I wasn't surprised when Zen put me on the deck of the ship. And as soon as I looked around it, I confirmed that real pirates used this old ship.
"Let's go inside, baby." A door on the floor of the ship opened spontaneously. Zen came down here first and quickly reached out his hand to support me.
As soon as we got down, I immediately looked at what I stepped on; something made a noise. I heard Zen snap his fingers as he lit the candles. These small candles served as light for the entire interior of the ship.
I was almost dumbfounded when I realized what we were stepping on. Gold, diamonds, and various types of stones were scattered inside this ship.
"Don't vampires know this? This ship is a damn treasure, Zen!" I said in amazement while observing the glowing stones.
"Many have tried, but every piece of this ship is really only for us Gazellians. This can recognize vampires, Claret." I'm starting to admire this ship. Was this ship also made by a babaylan? I feel strong magic on this ship.
"It also knows that I love you very much."
Zen grabbed my right hand and brought it to his lips.
"Zen." I was still melting from what he was telling me. My heart wasn't beating right before. Oh god, Zen Lancelot.
He clasped our hands together before we started walking again. And as we walked, I couldn't help but be excited about the different things I was seeing. I thought at first that all I would see was smoke and dust, but I never thought that this ship was screaming for wealth and powerful magic.
Zen and I stopped in front of a skeleton wearing a pirate's hat. Instead of being afraid of it, I immediately recognized the owner of these bones. The vampire rules this mighty ship.
As soon as Zen knelt in front of the skeleton, I also started to kneel in respect.
"I brought someone with me, grandfather," he began.
"My beautiful mate from the other world." I just bit my lip at what he said. Zen..
"Kind-hearted, an angel, and a real goddess. A woman that every vampire prince wishes for." How else will my heart beat correctly if Zen always showers me with such compliments? Do I deserve this?
"Zen." I looked up again just to look at my prince, who was talking to his grandfather. I don't know if my heart can handle what he is saying. I want to hold him and caress him. Zen and his loving words Out of the corner of my eye, I noticed that the skull of the skeleton moved slightly. How many times did I blink when I looked back at it? Am I missing it?
"Claret." I lost my attention on the skeleton when Zen pulled me closer to him. Our foreheads were touching as Zen gently caressed my cheek.
"Zen." I raised my hands to touch the gentle face of my prince.
"Humans have their rituals too, Claret," Zen said softly to me.
"Rituals?" I asked in surprise.
"Marry me, Claret; let the captain of this ship marry us."
